Transmigrated Into the World of Magic and Swords-Chapter 185: Four Thousand Versus One
Chapter 185: Four Thousand Versus One
The soldiers of Nightshire City currently stood before the combined forces of Icria City and Nafield City.
Even though they were outnumbered, the soldiers of Nightshire City showed no fear. Ren was with them, so they believed they would win the war again.
"Hey, Icria soldiers, have you forgotten what the people next to you did to your families and friends? Are you sure you want to fight alongside them?" Elian tried to stir up internal strife because he could see the hatred in their hearts was still burning.
"Hey, Nafield soldiers, your deceased family and friends will surely be disappointed if they see you standing next to those who ended their lives." Adrian joined the fun.
"That’s right." Daven added, "Have you forgotten their expressions of pain and hatred when your family and friends were killed by those standing next to you? If they could come back alive, I’m sure they would be disappointed in you because you had betrayed them."
The soldiers of Nafield City and Icria City instantly stared at each other with burning eyes.
A series of memories of their families and friends being killed suddenly popped up in their minds.
Words of hatred and insults immediately came out of their mouths. Some of them even pointed their weapons at those next to them.
Deep hatred still burned in their hearts, so they were easily persuaded by their provocative words.
Ren’s subordinates grinned widely at the sight of them quarreling with each other.
The three cities had been enemies for a long time, so they knew it was impossible to suppress the hatred in their hearts.
’Good! Keep fighting! It would be better if you guys killed each other now.’
The more they quarreled, the happier they became because they didn’t need to step in if they fought with each other.
But when soldiers of Nafield City and Icria City were about to clash, Colonel Luke and Colonel Ethan stepped in, stopping them from fighting.
"Stop! Don’t listen to them!" Colonel Luke shouted, "They are pitting you against each other. Can’t you understand it?"
"I know what happened in the past, but we are allies now!" Colonel Ethan added, "Your enemy is only Nightshire City. Once we claim the mine, your family will have a much better life. Don’t you want to make your family happy?"
Soldiers of Icria City and Nafield City stopped quarreling after hearing their words. Of course, their hatred didn’t disappear.
They stopped fighting with each other because they wanted to make their families happy, nothing more than that.
"Tch! How boring!" Adrian scoffed.
"Nightshire scum! If you dare, fight us like true warriors! Stop using dirty tricks!" Colonel Ethan didn’t want Ren’s subordinates to pit them against each other again because it would lead to fatal consequences.
"How laughable! You have four thousand soldiers, while we have less than a thousand. Yet, you have the audacity to say something like that?" Kairos nearly burst into laughter because he found it ironic that they spoke of honor while relying on numbers.
"You should blame your city mistress, not us." Colonel Ethan didn’t consider it an unfair war since Nightshire City had enough time to strengthen their forces at the mine
Ren stepped forward and spoke, "You want to fight like true warriors? Sure, let’s fight like warriors."
"Masked man, you may have killed our soldiers before, but don’t think we will lose again this time." Their numbers were four times greater, so Colonel Luke believed the outcome of the war would be different, especially since they had brought many healing mages and well-defended warriors.
Ren stopped his footsteps and flew into the sky, standing in mid-air. "Is that so? Then, let me test your strength now."
Morning suddenly turned to night, and the solid ground transformed into a vast emerald ocean.
Behind him, a colossal full moon slowly rose into the sky, its silver rays piercing the darkness, casting an ethereal glow over the endless sea.
Moon Rising Over the Sea!
Their number was four thousand, so Ren decided to use his strongest skill.
"Wha... what is this?"
"Where are we? Weren’t we in front of the mine? Why are we suddenly on the sea?"
"Nighttime?! The morning turned into nighttime?!"
"What kind of skill is this?"
"Did we get teleported somewhere?"
Soldiers of Icria City and Nafield City found it hard to believe what they were seeing.
They had seen powerful skills and magic before but never one that could alter the very world itself.
Like their enemies, soldiers of Nightshire City were also stunned.
However, they didn’t feel fear like those before them because Ren was on their side.
’Ren, just how strong are you?’
When they fought countless magical beasts several months ago, he summoned a magnificent golden throne and sat on it, exuding the aura of a king.
And now, he stood in mid-air with a colossal full moon behind him, causing him to look like a moon god.
They knew he was Aeris, but this was still too much.
They believed no other Aeris could be as amazing as him because his appearance was flawless, and he could accomplish many impossible feats.
"Hey, is our leader a god?" Raul stared at Ren with a disbelief look.
"Our leader is indeed a god, a Moon God." Elian chuckled as he joked around.
"That’s why we should not embarrass him, or else heaven will send lightning to punish us." Kairos joined the fun.
As they were in a state of shock, Ren’s voice rang out in the endless sea.
"I will test your strength now." The moment Ren’s voice fell, the raging waves behind him surged, making the warriors look like tiny ants.
Even though his enemies were four thousand people, he only used the second form because it was enough to kill them.
Colonel Luke came to his senses after hearing his words, "Use your strongest defensive magic and skills!"
"Don’t be afraid! We can block it!" Colonel Ethan tried to raise their spirit.
But even so, most of them remained frozen because their instincts told them that any effort would be meaningless.
They looked like powerless ants before the giant waves, so they knew they would not survive the attack.
"Tch!" Colonel Ethan gritted his teeth in anger when he saw his subordinates. "Don’t just stand there like statues! Remember, the future of our cities is in our hands!"
"It’s only water! We can block it!" Colonel Luke added.
Their words reignited their fighting spirit.
One by one, they activated their defensive skills and magic to block the incoming attack.
The weight of their cities’ future rested on their shoulders, so they could not afford to falter or fall.
However, the result of their efforts was like what their instincts had told them.
Their shields, artifacts and defensive skills could not stop the raging waves. They were shattered into pieces by the waves easily as if they were mere sandcastles before the tide.
*Gulp...Glub...Gulp...
They swallowed a lot of water as the waves crashed over them.
When they desperately struggled to stay afloat, an invisible force dragged them down, making it impossible to use their magic or skills.
The harder they fought to reach the surface, the stronger the force pulled them down, as if a powerful magnet was pulling their bodies toward the ocean floor.
"Help...glub...glub..."
"Save me...gulp...save me..." freēnovelkiss.com
"No! No!"
Many soldiers screamed for help, but no one came to save them because everyone was too busy trying to save themselves.
Ren, who was standing in mid-air, saw the scene without saying anything.
There was no sign of pity in his eyes when he saw them drowning in the sea because they were enemies.
They came with the intention of fighting, so they should have been prepared for the possibility of losing their lives on the battlefield.
’It seems like the second form is too powerful for Master rank warriors and 3-star mages.’
He deactivated the skill when all of his enemies died, restoring the world to its original state.
*Ding...Ding...Ding...
Ren walked down from the sky because the fight was over.
Like usual, the soldiers of Nightshire City surrounded him and bombarded him with countless questions once he landed on the ground.
They asked him the class of his skill or where he learned it.
Ren could only twitch his lips at this moment because they didn’t give him time to answer their questions.
’They always overreact whenever I use high-class skills or magic.’

The following day, Joshua and Xander learned that their subordinates had died.
Without waiting for another minute, they used communication magic to discuss a new strategy for seizing the mine.
They didn’t want to lose their soldiers anymore, so they carefully planned their next move.
"How about we challenge them to a duel? The winner will take the mine, while the loser has to forget the mine forever. How is it?" Xander voiced out his idea.
"Duel? Have you forgotten about the masked man?" Joshua immediately disagreed because proposing a duel was the same as giving them the mine.
"We can set rules, like only locals can participate." Xander responded, "I doubt the masked man is a local."
"What makes you think like that?" Joshua inquired.
"Think about it. If he is a local, then why would he need to wear a mask? I’m sure he was hired by the city mistress. Or maybe he is a wanted person. That’s why he always hides his face." Xander said this because he didn’t remember Nightshire City having a powerful person like Ren.
Joshua touched his chin and spoke, "Your words make sense."
"So, how is it? Do you agree with my idea?" Xander inquired.
