Transmigrated Into the World of Magic and Swords-Chapter 151: Measuring Talent
Chapter 151: Measuring Talent
"Give me the skill book." Azrael said lazily.
"Here, senior." Kairos handed it over politely.
"You got a Sky class high-level skill, so I will give you a Sky class mid-level skill book." Azrael retrieved a skill book from his space ring and threw it at Kairos. "Take this."
Even though the way Azrael gave him the skill book was rude, Kairos’ eyes still shone brightly because he got a Sky class middle-level skill book for free.
"Next!" Azrael uttered.
Adrian stepped forward and raised his right hand.
But before he could speak, Ren stopped him.
"Brother, we took the test first on the previous floor, so let’s give our friends from the Chicken and Snake races the chance to go first this time." Ren wanted to see their enemies’ talents first, so he stopped Adrian.
"Alright." Ren was like their leader, so Adrian listened to him.
"Human, why do you keep calling us chickens and snakes?" Ardentis always failed to control himself whenever Ren called them chickens and snakes because it was the same as humiliating their races.
"Because you guys are chickens and snakes." Ren answered in a casual tone. "If you don’t believe it, why don’t you ask your elder brother?"
"You!" rage pulsed through his veins as Ardentis clenched his fist angrily.
"Stop it, Ardentis." Despite hearing Ren’s words clearly, Asher still acted normally.
"But he keeps calling us chickens and snakes!" Ardentis was different from his elder brother, so he could not control his emotions.
"He wants you to get kicked out of the temple. Why don’t you understand it?" Asher believed Ren wanted them to get kicked out of the temple.
That was why he kept calling them chickens and snakes because it was the best method to eliminate them from the test.
Ardentis gritted his teeth before finally ordering his subordinates to take the test.
One by one, the magical beasts took the test.
Even though all of them were 3-star magical beasts, none of them had talent above grade D.
Most of them had Grade D talent, like Kairos.
Five of them even had Grade E talent.
Of course, Ardentis was unhappy because Ren and some awakeners smirked when his subordinates’ talents were only Grade D or E.
"I will take the test now." Ardentis stepped forward and put his right hand on the Talent Measuring Stone.
’Watch this, human!’
He knew the Grade of his talent because his family also had a Talent Measuring Stone.
B!
When his talent grade was shown, he turned to the awakeners and grinned.
Grade B talent was rare and only geniuses had this, so Ardentis felt proud of his talent because not everyone could have grade B talent.
’How is it, human?’
The grin on his face grew bigger when some awakeners wore unhappy and irritated faces.
Ren, who saw the Grade of his talent, crossed his arms over his chest and spoke, "Not bad, little snake. With grade B talent, you can become a big snake if you train hard."
"Hehe." Zaria and the others giggled softly.
Ardentis wanted to yell at Ren, but he decided to suppress his anger when he remembered his elder brother’s words.
’Hmf!’
He would mock Ren if Ren’s talent was lower because Ren behaved as if his talent was better than his.
Ardentis approached Azrael and handed over the skill book politely. "Senior, I gave up on this test."
"Take this." Azrael threw a Supreme class middle-level skill book at Ardentis.
After Ardentis returned to his group, Valmira and Elara took the test.
Like Ardentis, their talents were Grade B, so they also got Supreme class middle-level skill books.
When Asher stepped forward and put his hand on the Talent Measuring Stone, all awakeners stopped talking and paid attention to him carefully.
He was the strongest magical beasts and he also mastered a Divine class skill, so they were curious about the Grade of his talent.
*Sring...
Shortly after the engraved runes on the stone glowed, the letter ’A’ appeared on it, indicating that Asher’s talent was Grade A.
A whirlwind of chatter broke out when Asher’s talent grade was shown.
"A?! His talent is Grade A!"
"Now wonder he can master a Divine class skill. It’s because he has Grade A talent."
"I hate to admit this, but I’m really jealous of him right now."
"Me too. Damn it!"
"Why don’t I have A grade talent too? Heaven, why are you so cruel?"
Meeting someone with Grade A talent was difficult because most awakeners only had Grade D talents or lower.
Even people with Grade C talent were not many because grades C, B and A were already considered geniuses.
"Oh, Grade A? Not bad, not bad." Azrael was also surprised because he didn’t expect to meet someone with Grade A talent on a small continent.
Despite seeing their reactions, Asher didn’t say anything and returned to his group in silence because he was used to such reactions.
"Did you see that? My brother has Grade A talent, something only the elite possess. I wonder how does a certain human feel right now?" Ardentis was referring to Ren when he said this because it was a good opportunity to mock him.
"What is so great about Grade A talent?" Ren didn’t feel any pressure because his talent was grade S.
"Didn’t you hear my words? Only the elite possess Grade A talent. That means my brother is an elite, not like a certain human who could only act like an elite." Ardentis didn’t forget to insult Ren when answering his question.
"Oh! Does that mean your brother is an elite and you are ordinary?" Ren used Ardentis’ words to mock him.
"Hiii!" Ardenties gritted his teeth in anger.
’That human is really good at using words! So annoying!’
He said in his head.
"Stop quarreling and take the test immediately. Don’t waste my time." Azrael was tired, so he wanted the test to be over quickly.
One by one, the awakeners took the test after hearing his words.
Like magical beasts, most awakeners had Grade D talent.
There was even one person with Grade F talent.
Only Lexie and Zaria had Grade B talent because Ariana’s talent was only Grade C.
"I will take the test." Scarlett stepped forward after Lexie returned.
All magical beasts and awakeners were focused on her.
Her performance on the previous floor was good, so they wanted to know how good her talent was.
*Sring...
A letter ’A’ appeared on the stone.
An uproar exploded when they found out about her talent grade.
All awakeners screamed in happiness while magical beasts clenched their fists in annoyance.
Both races had someone with Grade A talent now, so that meant they were not inferior to magical beasts in terms of talent.
Scarlett returned to Ren after giving up on the test. "Ren, I have Grade A talent."
Ren’s lips curled up into a soft smile. "My Scarlett is amazing!"
"Hehe." Scarlett was thrilled when he praised her.
"It’s your turn now, Ren." Lexie spoke abruptly.
Ren stepped forward when Scarlett stopped embracing his right arm. "Little snake, you previously said Grade A talent is an elite. Now, let me show you what a Legendary Grade talent is."
"Hmf!" Ardentis grimaced. "Show me!"
Right after Ren put his right hand on the Talent Measuring Stone, a golden light radiated from the stone, illuminating the entire area.
All awakeners and magical beasts were stunned, and their eyes widened in shock.
The stone didn’t emit a golden light when Scarlett or Asher used it, so they were startled by what they were seeing.
’What’s going on?’
That was the question that appeared in their minds.
Azrael, who always wore a bored face and acted lazy, could not control his emotions, either.
Of course, he knew the reason why a golden light radiated from the Talent Measuring Stone because he had seen this phenomenon before.
Grade S talent!
The Talent Measuring Stone would only emit a golden light when it detected Grade S talent because Grade S talent was a legendary talent.
If Grade A talent could become a king or a leader of a big organization, Grade S talent could become the Ruler of the world because talent was one of the big factors determining the future.
’Leader, our efforts are not in vain. Someone with Grade S talent has appeared in our place!’
After waiting for five hundred years, they finally found an amazing candidate.
As Azrael was feeling happy, Ardentis felt the opposite.
He was previously ready to mock Ren because he believed Ren’s talent would be lower than his brother’s.
However, the reality was different from what he wanted.
Instead of having Grade B talent or lower, Ren’s talent was Grade S.
The legendary Grade S talent!
Something like this should not have happened because he didn’t look like someone from a big or famous organization.
So why?
Why did he have Grade S talent?
His talent should be Grade B or lower because that was the kind of talent someone like Ren should have, not Grade S talent.
"Impossible...impossible..." Ardentis’ voice was trembling in disbelief.
He could not accept it, and he didn’t want to accept it because Grade S talent should appear in someone from an elite race like his race.
A human should only be allowed to have Grade A talent at most because their race was not an elite race but a middle-class one.
Unlike usual, Asher could not control his emotions this time.
Everyone in his family always said that Grade S only appeared in legends, so he, who had Grade A talent, should always be proud of himself because he was destined to be a great person in the future.
’Didn’t they say Grade S talent only appear in legend? So why do I see the letter S on the Talent Measuring Stone? Have they been lying to me all this time?’
