Transmigrated Into the World of Magic and Swords-Chapter 148: Third Floor
Chapter 148: Third Floor
A/N= Guys, I forgot about Zaria in the last Chapter, but I’ve edited it. Zaria stopped at the eighth layer like Lexie and Scarlett. Let’s just say her royal bloodline makes her reach the eighth layer.
----
After stepping out of the stairs, Asher didn’t enter the pool immediately; instead, he stood next to the staircase and paid attention to Ren.
’Oh? He reaches the ninth layer?’
He was not annoyed when Ren could reach the highest layer because this meant Ren was indeed worthy of being his opponent.
’I suddenly can’t wait to fight him.’
He stopped paying attention to Ren and entered the pool.
At the same time, Ren stood next to the pool and used Appraisal on it. He was curious about how the pool could strengthen their bodies, so he decided to check it.
’It contains a dragon’s essence? Does that mean the Moon God killed a dragon before creating this pool?’
[Maybe, Host. And the system believes that the Golden Spirit Tree has something to do with it, too.]
Ren lifted his head to look at the Golden Spirit Tree.
’This tree looks much more amazing and beautiful from up close.’
He returned his attention to the pool again.
’Alright. It’s time to enter the pool.’
As he stepped into the pool, an unfamiliar energy entered his body.
At first, the water gave him a refreshing sensation, but the moment he walked deeper, a powerful heat erupted from within him.
A sharp, hot sensation spread across his skin, seeping deep into his muscles and marrow. His muscles tensed and compressed while his bones creaked under the invisible force.
Ren gritted his teeth as he endured the pain because he didn’t want to scream and look pathetic.
As the impurities in his body were burned into nothingness, his veins pulsed with new vitality, and his blood flowed more smoothly, stronger, and richer with power.
His reflexes sharpened, his endurance increased, and his senses heightened to a degree he had never felt before.
The pool was not just cleansing his body, but it was also refining him, breaking him down only to rebuild him into something far beyond human limits.
As the process neared completion, the pain slowly faded away.
Even though he had to endure immense pain, he was satisfied with the result because he could feel the transformation in his body.
’I feel like I have a new body again.’
He could feel incredible power as he clenched his fist.
’Should I test it out?’
He shifted his gaze from his fist to the Golden Spirit Tree behind him.
’I think I should drop that idea. This place has tempered my body, so I should not ruin it.’
He was a person who knew how to repay favors, so he dropped the idea and got out of the pool.
’Oh, they are out of the pool too?’
He saw Scarlett and the others on the other staircase, the stairs that led to the next floor.
Lexie and the other awakeners were stunned when they saw him approaching them. The pool had gotten rid of the impurities in his body, so his skin became smoother and softer.
’Brother, are you really from the human race like us?’
Ren had a handsome face and a cool body.
Added with his glowing skin, he looked more like an angel now.
"Ren!" Scarlett rushed toward him and embraced his right arm. "How is it, Ren?"
"The pool is indeed amazing. I feel like I have a new body." He gave an honest answer. "What about you?"
"I feel the same." Scarlett strengthened her body in the eighth layer pool, so her body transformation was also amazing.
"Great!" Ren responded happily. "Let’s head to the next floor."
"Un." Scarlett nodded happily.
As Ren and his group stepped into the teleportation gate, a strange force wrapped around their bodies.
The moment they crossed the gate, their surroundings blurred, and a weightless sensation washed over them as if they had been thrown into an endless void.
A few moments later, the gravity returned, and solid ground formed beneath their feet. When their vision cleared, they found themselves standing in a vast, open area.
At the center of the space, a huge stone could be seen. Not only that but there was also an ancient spirit sitting on top of the stone.
Ren and the others approached the ancient spirit immediately because they believed the next test was related to the stone and the spirit.
The ancient spirit named Azriel jumped off the stone when he caught sight of them. He didn’t smile at them and immediately explained everything.
"The rewards on this floor are based on how strong your attacks are." Azriel didn’t like small talk, so he went straight to the point.
He said all participants needed to attack the stone to get the reward. The stronger the attack, the better the reward.
"This stone will calculate your attack power and will give you a reward immediately afterward, so use your strongest skill or magic," Azriel explained.
Cheerful chatter broke out when Azriel said they would get weapons or armor from this test.
The previous reward was a pool that tempered their bodies, so they really liked the reward from this floor.
"So, who is going to try first?" Azriel inquired.
"Me!" Kairo said as he stepped forward.
Azriel nodded in response. "Attack the stone now."
Kairo retrieved a bow from his space ring and focused on the stone.
’Thunderfang Shot!’
Right after he pulled the string, red thunders appeared and danced on his arrow.
The more focused he was on the target, the more intense the thunders became.
At that moment, the arrow was like a lightning arrow because the red thunder almost enveloped it.
’Go!’
Right after he fired his arrow, a loud boom reverberated in the entire area.
The speed of his arrow was so fast to the point that only a few people could see it.
"His attack looked strong!"
"Yeah!"
"What do you think he will get?"
"I don’t know. But based on how powerful his attack is, I think he will get something good."
"I think so, too."
Some awakeners commented on Kairo’s performance.
"Please, give me a good reward." Kairo kept paying attention to the stone, waiting for his reward to appear.
After calculating the strength of his attack, a beautiful silver bow came out of the stone and floated in front of it.
The volume of chatter rose again.
They knew they would get weapons or armor, but they didn’t expect Kairo to get a bow.
’Is it a coincidence?’
That question appeared in their minds because Kairo was an archer.
"Haha. I got Rare Grade bow! I got Rare Grade bow!" Kairo jumped happily when he knew the grade of the reward because his old bow was only an Uncommon Grade.
"Good for you, brother."
"Congratulations, brother."
"I’m happy for you."
Some awakeners congratulated him because he got the best reward for him.
"Who is next?" Azriel inquired.
"Me!" Adrian raised his right hand.
After Azriel told him to attack the stone, Adrian raised his sword and used his strongest skill.
Shortly after that, his reward emerged and floated before the stone.
Unlike Kairo, his reward was armor.
Even though it was only Uncommon Grade armor, he was delighted because, as an Elite rank warrior, his reward was already good.
The test continued.
One by one, awakeners took the test.
None of the magical beasts took the test because they wanted to see their enemies’ performance first.
"Who is next?" Azriel asked.
"Me," Scarlett responded.
"Go for it, Scarlett!" Ren cheered her up.
"Un!" Scarlett nodded her head.
As Scarlett raised her Downbringer sword, red flames burst forth, surging two meters high in a blazing inferno.
The ground beneath her cracked, and the temperature suddenly increased.
All magical beasts and awakeners were stunned by what was happening. They knew Ren was a powerful awakener, but they didn’t expect her to be of the same caliber as him.
"I knew it!" Ariana mused.
Even though Zaria was also shocked, she didn’t say anything because she had guessed that Scarlett was an extraordinary warrior.
"Is it also a Divine class skill?" Valmira inquired.
"No. It’s Supreme class high-level skill." Elara could tell the class of Scarlett’s skill because she had a similar skill to hers.
"Tch!" Ardentis hated Ren, so he was unhappy when he knew that Scarlett was also a powerful awakener.
’But it’s fine. My brother can handle them.’
He said in his head.
"Destroy it!" Scarlett swung her sword, sending a powerful slash at the stone.
Boom!
A powerful shockwave spread across the entire area as her attack landed on the stone, causing their hair to dance wildly for a few seconds.
Everyone immediately focused on the stone because they were curious about her reward.
Several seconds later, her reward emerged from the stone.
"It’s a sword!"
"What do you think the grade of that sword is?"
"I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s above Rare Grade."
"Do you think it’s Legendary Grade?"
"Her attack is indeed powerful, but from my point of view, it’s not enough to get the Legendary Grade."
"I think it’s Unique Grade."
"I think so, too."
They began to guess the grade of the sword when Scarlett approached the stone.
’It’s Unique Grade.’
Scarlett showed no signs of joy because her Downbringer sword was also a Unique Grade weapon.
"What’s wrong? You don’t look happy with your reward." Ren inquired.
"It’s a Unique Grade sword," Scarlett told him the reason why she was not happy.
The other awakeners wanted to cry when they heard her words.
’Sister, it’s a Unique Grade weapon. Why are you not happy?’
They shouted in their minds.
