Transmigrated as the Novel's Final Boss-Chapter 65:Festivities and Spirits [4]
Chapter 65: Chapter 65:Festivities and Spirits [4]
I had already mentally prepared myself for something like this, but seeing the two figures mere feet before me simply made all my thoughts disappear.
I was an Imperial Class student, just like them, so they couldn’t just get rid of me at the tap of a finger, no matter their social position.
In fact, they couldn’t even influence teachers within the academy or try to get me kicked out of school.
The worst thing they could do is spread some rumors around me.
It was quite hilarious to think that Professor Snape had more power than the two students in front of me right now.
However, after I left the academy, leaving behind the Imperial dormitory, they could absolutely do whatever the hell they wanted to me.
Or, any time I stepped off campus during my time as a student, I would be subject to their control.
Snapping me out of my thoughts, a sudden voice echoed from in front of me, coming from the couch where the grand duke of the North was sitting.
"Oh, thank god, someone else is here."
As the two boys’ gazes slowly shifted towards me, I simply sighed and walked towards them.
Intending to get rid of the awkward atmosphere, I immediately shrugged my shoulders and casually asked.
"Where’s everyone else?"
According to Professor Snape, the festivities should have started two minutes ago.
On the couch, farther away from me, the emperor’s son tilted his head and responded.
"We’re actually quite early."
No surprises here...Professor Snape had lied again.
Before I could even respond, the grand duke’s son immediately tapped the space on the couch next to him and said.
"Come, sit. I can’t bear to be alone with this guy anymore."
Seeing nothing better to do, I nodded my head and sat down on the couch, looking across the table at the emperor’s son.
First pointing at himself and then the future emperor, the grand duke’s son immediately said.
"I’m Zeke, and he’s Liam."
While Liam, of course, has his neat golden-blonde hair and light-blue eyes, Zeke was the complete opposite.
With night-black hair and dark-purple eyes, symbolizing his talent for lightning, Zeke’s clothes were ruffled up as if he had just rolled out of bed.
Seeing the two of them expectantly looking back at me, I leaned back on the couch and replied.
"I’m Jett. Good to meet you two."
If they weren’t going to be rude or snarky to me first, there was no need for me to be as well.
Looking at the two boys, I could tell they were racking their memories, attempting to find anyone named Jett that they had met in the past.
Soon, they would be disappointed, though.
I was just the demon king, not some royal who attended parties.
After a few moments of silence, Zeke finally looked back up, leaning back on the couch, and asked. freёweɓnovel.com
"Can we go outside while we wait?"
Through the windows of the buildings, I could see flashing colors explode into the sky as fireworks exploded.
In the distance, I could even spot the image of Principal Alice’s face, created by countless small blue particles floating in the air.
It seemed that the main event of the ceremony, where students gathered blue particles, hadn’t started yet.
Leaning forward and shaking his head, Liam responded.
"Even if we did go outside, I doubt we’d get a better view than this with the streets all packed."
"Well, what are we supposed to do then?"
Thinking for a moment, Liam hesitated before answering.
"We could do something with our new friend h-"
At that moment, before Liam could finish his sentence, the sound of countless footsteps descending the staircase reverberated from above.
Within seconds, three female figures could be seen stepping onto the lobby floor, immediately heading to the other side of the common room, perhaps trying to avoid us.
The leader of this group was Charlotte, with curly blonde hair and light-blue eyes like Liam.
The other members of the group I did not recall, but one of them seemed like me due to their terrible posture and unironed pants.
An outsider with no connection to any royal families.
Zeke didn’t particularly care about the three girls’ appearance as he stared up at the ceiling with a bored expression.
On the other hand, Liam’s gaze lingered on their group for some time before he finally looked back up at us.
As the three girls found a space to sit on the complete other side of the common area from us, I finally spoke.
"You were saying?"
Nodding his head, Liam stared at us for a couple of seconds and answered.
"Keep it up."
Immediately, Zeke stood up from his seat and pointed backwards.
"Alright, loser has to go talk to them."
Without waiting for an answer, Zeke immediately stretched both of his hands out so that his palms were facing the ceiling.
Then, as a light-purple aura, for lightning, covered his hands, he slowly began to mold the smoke covering his hands, as if he were making pottery.
The purple aura would rise up from his hands, and then, Zeke would grasp it and lead it toward him, like a shepherd guiding a group of sheep.
Mana control....I couldn’t even sense my mana, let alone control and shape it.
Within a couple of seconds, there was now a small ball of purple light, the size of a tennis ball, sitting in Zeke’s hands.
Interestingly enough, the ball wasn’t actually physical,
However, since it was mana, it could be touched by those who are awakened.
This did mean that normal people, without any mana, would be completely immune to the ball as it would simply phase right through them.
Immediately stepping away, Liam held his hands out and adamantly asked.
"It won’t shock us, right?"
As Zeke nodded his head, he began throwing the ball up and down.
"Alright, let’s start."
Without waiting for any other words, Liam cocked back his hand with the purple ball before rushing it forward.
