Transmigrated as the Novel's Final Boss-Chapter 52:Ten Shining Stars [1]
Chapter 52: Chapter 52:Ten Shining Stars [1]
As the curtains unfolded, a lone figure standing on the stage came into view.
Wearing a full black robe, similar to mine but less baggy, and a black witch’s hat, the female figure simply gazed back at us, not minding the thousands of gazes on her.
The founder and current principal of Glaive Academy.
And, one of the few S-rank heroes in the world.
Her long silver hair draped past her hat down her cloak, nearly reaching her waist, and her matching silver-colored eyes had a sense of amiability to them.
Not a single student dared to speak, leaving the massive plaza in an unusual and awkward silence.
At that moment, I suddenly understood why most students had gravitated away from the front rows and gone to the back ones.
As an S-rank, she was considered to be a demi-god, and thus, she was able to exert her will on the world.
Just being in front of her, I felt my entire presence breaking apart, threatening to disappear completely.
Who even was I?
Gritting my teeth and needing a distraction, I turned to my left and whispered.
"If you can’t handle it, then you can just move back a couple of rows."
Almost immediately, a response came in a strained tone.
"Can’t handle what? Seems like you’re about to tap out."
Behind me, countless students leaned back in the chairs and even hid under their seats, attempting to escape the pressure weighing down on them.
After a couple of seconds, some students simply collapsed on the ground, having given up on resistance.
Surprisingly, everyone in my row was sitting upright, including Raven, which rather surprised me.
"Someone call an ambulance, the kid next to me passed out!"
"Is it over? Is it over?"
Finally, after a minute of silence, the pressure suddenly disappeared, and the principal smirked, as if this were all a game to her.
Without using a microphone or any sound-enhancing devices, she suddenly opened her mouth, silencing the whispers.
"Hello, and welcome, class of ’26, to Glaive Academy. I’m your principal, Ellie, and I look forward to seeing all you may accomplish in your four years at this school."
Her words echoed throughout the massive plaza, and I swear I could see the sound waves moving through the air past me.
There was no gift, skill, or stat that caused this to happen.
By simply speaking, she was exerting her will onto the world, forcing everyone in the vicinity to hear it and defying conventional laws of sound.
Thankfully, she wouldn’t be my enemy.
Glancing to the right, at the entrance to the plaza’s most famous and expensive restaurant, principal Ellie continued.
"The Glaive’s ten Stars...you may enter."
Immediately, the crowd of students around broke into side conversations.
"The top ten students...? I didn’t get a notification."
"Yeah, me too!"
"Hey principal, I think my top ten invitation got lost in the mail!"
Unfortunately, before I could think of a retort, Raven’s voice echoed from my left.
"All that ego, and you’re not even in the top ten?"
"Yeah, shut it, you dog."
The admission test for Glaiev was partially based on a written test that you were required to take alongside a short power test, and mostly based on your resume or achievements.
The previous owner of my body had no achievements and must have travelled to a nearby city using the warp gate inside the cathedral to take the exam.
Ignoring Raven’s red face, I followed the principal’s eyes to the side of the plaza.
The windows of all the stores inside the plaza were blocked and faded, not allowing anyone to see inside, so everyone curiously shifted their gazes to the doors.
A moment later, the glass doors swung open, and in a neat horizontal line, ten students walked out.
The social hierarchy of the human realm could be described as a tree.
At the very top was, of course, the royal family, who ruled over the entire kingdom, but after that, it branched off into fourths.
Ruling the vast human country was too much of a task for one emperor; thus, there were four grand dukes who were each in charge of a fourth of the kingdom.
The Grand Dukes of the North, East, South, and West.
Below these five powerful ruling members of the human realm were influential and wealthy families who had gathered enough high-ranking enlightened attackers to be considered dukes.
At the very front of the line leading out of the restaurant and claiming the number one position was Liam. fгeewebnovёl.com
The one and only son of the current emperor.
He was the absolute closest one could be to the throne.
With his blonde hair and light-blue eyes, Liam walked in a perfectly straight line towards the first row of seats before the stage.
Before taking his seat, he turned around and gave a quick wave to the thousands of students behind him, causing a commotion to break out.
"Was he waving at me!?"
"No, you idiot, it was me? Me and him are tight like that!"
Another important figure, Charlotte, followed a couple of steps behind Liam, as the second ranked student.
The only daughter of the current emperor.
Sparks shined within her light-blue pupils, clearly displaying she hadn’t yet given up on the fight for the throne, and her curly blonde hair cascaded down her crimson-red blazer like a waterfall.
After the two children of the emperor were other important figures, such as sons and relatives of granddukes, who would either join Evangel’s cohort or become powerful figures.
Finally, as the last figure stepped out of the darkness within the restaurant and entered the plaza, I immediately blinked.
It seems like my changes to the plot were already in effect...
A familiar figure with snow-white hair and pure-white pupils took the last seat in the first row, wearing an emotionless and neutral expression the entire time.
While the others basked in the glory of being ranked among the top ten students within Glaive, Evangel simply stared ahead at the stage.
