Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Not Illegal, Just Immoral

Leaving the dormitory, stepping into the office building.

Seeing not even a shadow around, Chen Bin couldn’t help but feel a little doubtful.

Could Qian Lang be lying?

Since he was already here, he decided to follow Qian Lang into the Comprehensive Division Two office anyway.

"Brother Qian, what are we doing here?"

"You’ll find out soon enough."

Seeing the confident look on Qian Lang’s face, Chen Bin finally felt somewhat reassured.

Before long, the sound of high heels striking the floor suddenly echoed.

As the sound grew nearer, Chen Bin felt his heart leap into his throat.

Just as he was about to hide under a desk, the commotion outside abruptly died down.

Judging by the sounds, it seemed to have entered the neighboring Comprehensive Division One office.

Just when Chen Bin was about to check who it was, Qian Lang grabbed him.

"Don’t be hasty. Wait until the other one shows up, then act."

Thinking it was indeed riskier to go now, Chen Bin nodded in agreement.

Not even five minutes later, a steady but slightly hurried set of footsteps echoed through the hallway.

It looked like County Magistrate Sun had arrived!

As the sounds completely faded, Qian Lang gestured at Chen Bin that it was safe to move.

The two gently cracked open the door and peeked outside furtively.

After confirming the area was secure, they tiptoed out.

Since the two divisions were close to each other, Chen Bin only needed a couple of steps to reach the window of Comprehensive Division One.

Holding his breath, he followed Qian Lang and carefully stood up.

Through the glass, he quickly spotted the pair inside—a man and a woman.

The man was County Magistrate Sun Cheng, and the woman was unexpectedly Dong Lili!

Recalling the incident in the dormitory last time, Chen Bin felt a surge of jealousy in his heart.

Being a leader sure has its perks—liking someone means you can screw them at will.

Inside the office.

Sun Cheng held Dong Lili close, his back facing the window.

His hand slipped into her collar, kneading relentlessly.

Meanwhile, Dong Lili asked with some dissatisfaction.

"Darling, don’t you like me anymore? I heard you’ve been getting quite close to that new girl recently."

"That’s all wishful thinking on her part; I don’t have any feelings for her at all."

As he spoke, the strength in Sun Cheng’s hands grew even greater.

"Hey, take it easy! The flesh isn’t on your body; don’t you know how to be gentle?"

Dong Lili grumbled in protest but quickly continued.

"You’re about to get a promotion soon. There’ll definitely be more women trying to cozy up to you. If you dare abandon me then, I won’t let you off!"

"Relax about that. Your skills are so good, I can’t get enough of you. Come on, help me out a bit. Just thinking about your little mouth excites me."

Dong Lili didn’t waste words and directly squatted down, pulling down Sun Cheng’s pants.

While handling him midway, she muttered as her hand worked him.

"Darling, I’ve been serving you for a full two years. When you’re promoted, don’t let me stay as just an ordinary clerk anymore."

"Don’t worry, I’m aware of everything. Come, keep licking. For tonight, I’ve even gone days without doing anything with my wife."

Their conversation ended as the pair transitioned entirely into action.

Watching the increasingly heated scene in the office, Chen Bin suddenly found himself unable to bear it.

Finally, he exchanged a glance with Qian Lang, and together they scurried downstairs quietly.

Once outside, Chen Bin took a deep breath, trying to calm his burning emotions.

"Brother Qian, when did you first discover County Magistrate Sun and Lili’s affair?"

After thinking for a moment, Qian Lang answered softly.

"I don’t remember the exact timing—it was sometime last year, after dinner. I realized I had forgotten my dorm keys and came to the office, only to stumble upon their fun."

"Do they come here every night?"

"Not every night. But whenever Dong Lili’s on duty, the County Magistrate shows up."

"Do they do it anywhere else besides the office?"

"Not sure about that, but I bet they’re probably doing it frequently outside too."

Nodding, Chen Bin seemed to ponder something.

It seemed like he had a way to help Wang Jun.

At this moment, Qian Lang couldn’t help but warn him.

"Brother, we’re tied together now. If you dare leak anything about tonight, we’re doomed."

"Relax, I’m not an idiot. This kind of thing is for watching, not for talking!"

Returning to the dormitory together, Chen Bin immediately collapsed onto his bed.

His mind was busy scheming ways to deal with County Magistrate Sun.

Unfortunately, despite racking his brain, he couldn’t come up with an airtight plan.

The next day at noon.

As lunchtime approached, Chen Bin was just about to head to the cafeteria.

The gatekeeper passed along a message saying someone was looking for him.

On his way downstairs, Chen Bin was still full of doubt.

He hardly had any friends in Qingshi County—who would come here for him?

Arriving at the bottom floor, Chen Bin was quickly drawn to a towering figure.

The man was none other than the rugged guy, Cheng Zhuang, who had bravely stepped up on the bus last time!

"Brother, what brings you here?"

Cheng Zhuang scratched his head awkwardly.

"Last time we talked, you mentioned you worked at the County Government. I happened to have some free time today and thought I’d stop by to see you."

"I see. Well then... how about we grab something to eat?"

"Sure!"

They went to a small eatery, and Chen Bin ordered a few stir-fried dishes.

Since he had work in the afternoon, he could only drink beverages.

As the food arrived, the two ate and chatted.

Chen Bin learned that after leaving the army, Cheng Zhuang had lost both of his parents in an accident.

He now lived alone and was single, essentially a loner.

In this aspect, the two shared some similarities.

After discussing family matters, Chen Bin picked up a piece of beef and popped it into his mouth.

Casually, he asked, "Brother, you didn’t just come to chat, did you?"

Embarrassed, Cheng Zhuang scratched his head awkwardly.

"I don’t have much education, nor do I have any well-connected relatives. I don’t know what to do now, so I came to see if you could point me toward something."

Hearing this, Chen Bin’s mind began to churn.

After some thought, he asked, "Do you know how to drive?"

"Of course! I got my license during my time in the army."

"Good, then maybe I can arrange for you to become a driver for the leadership."

"No way! Are you pulling my leg?"

Wide-eyed, Cheng Zhuang looked utterly astonished.

He had just been searching for a job around the County Government earlier and decided to remember Chen Bin as lunchtime rolled in.

But he hadn’t expected such a pie-in-the-sky opportunity from Chen Bin’s opening words.

Chen Bin had anticipated this reaction.

With a faint smile, a glimmer of calculation flashed in his eyes.

"I wouldn’t lie to you, but becoming a government driver isn’t exactly straightforward. I have conditions."

"What conditions?"

Chen Bin didn’t answer immediately but instead smiled faintly, clinking his glass against Cheng Zhuang’s.

"No rush. Being a leadership driver isn’t something directly accessible. I need to investigate first, so no false hopes."

"When can you give me an answer?"

"Right after lunch, I’ll start asking around!"

Draining his beverage in one go, Cheng Zhuang nodded resolutely.

"Alright, I’ll wait here for your news. Whatever your condition is, as long as it’s not illegal, I’ll agree!"

"Don’t worry. I’m not asking you to break the law—just something a little unethical."

"U—Unethical?"

Scratching his head, Cheng Zhuang frowned in confusion.

Chen Bin didn’t bother explaining much.

Finishing lunch, he parted ways with Cheng Zhuang and immediately returned to the dormitory to knock on Wang Jun’s door...
