Chapter 405: Chapter 405 – Life after childbirth

"What’s wrong?" Robin asked, concerned. Sabrina frowned and admitted,

"It stings when I pee." She felt self-conscious after saying it, glad that the chef wasn’t there to hear.

Grandma chuckled and nodded, expecting that reaction. Sabrina’s little trick against Robin must have prevented Cecilia from being in the labor ward, but she had partly guessed it would be so.

"Don’t worry. You had an episiotomy. You will be relieved in a few days, but you should also inform the doctor when he comes to check on you," Grandma reassured her.

"I will," Sabrina said seriously. Just as she thought that stitching the cut she had was enough, she was yet to deal with the sting that comes with it.

"Now eat before they wake up," Grandma beckoned to the twins in the cot and spoke in a hushed tone.

However, knowing that Robin had been with her all night, it also meant that he hadn’t eaten.

Robin had been watching the babies with a smile on his face for hours, amazed by their cuteness and the fact that they were formed from his DNA. It was so miraculous; he couldn’t tear his eyes off them.

"Let’s all eat. I can’t finish all this," Sabrina retorted. Grandma smiled knowingly, "I guess you are referring to Robin. He is the only one who hasn’t eaten."

Sabrina gazed at Robin with love oozing in her eyes as she said, "My King. Please eat with me. Or I won’t eat."

Somehow, her last words managed to capture Robin’s attention and his gaze shifted from the twins as he said to Sabrina, "I will feed you first."

Robin was so happy that he didn’t know how to show it to anybody. He felt complete with his small family.

In the course of the meal, one of the babies began bawling. "Motherly duty calls. You never get to finish your meal," Grandma smiled and moved the food trolley away.

Though she dotted on Sabrina, she also wanted her to learn the about the reality of life.

As soon as she picked up Savanah and gave her to Sabrina to breastfeed, Robert began bawling too.

Sabrina had not even begun breastfeeding one and thought about how to breastfeed both of them together as she had seen some mothers do in related videos.

Her anxieties were swept under the carpet by Grandma’s suggestion. "I guess one of them would have to accept formula again."

The suggestion sounded good, but Sabrina couldn’t shake her desire to try breastfeeding both of them together. "What if I feed them together?"

Grandma smiled, pleased with her resolve, but there was a small problem with her suggestion.

"I doubt you will have enough breast milk. It would take a few days for your breast milk to come in, but for now, the colostrum your body is releasing would be enough for them."

Grandma began to help the baby latch on, but suddenly, Sabrina burst into laughter, leaving everyone amazed. "What’s the problem?" Robin asked, unsure whether to join in her laughter or call a doctor for her.

"It’s so ticklish," Sabrina said, with infectious laughter, causing everyone else to laugh with her.

A few days later, Sabrina was discharged from the hospital, and the villa was constantly flooded with well-wishers. Today, it was Matilda and Lizzy. Their men were involved in something they didn’t want to reveal. "

Tilda, you look gorgeous," Sabrina exclaimed at the sight of Matilda. She was enjoying fresh air in the garden with a cup of tea while the twins slept after nursing.

Matilda pouted and retorted, "I look like a pig."

Sabrina disagreed with a smile and had to admit that Matilda was looking even better than when Sabrina was at the same stage in her pregnancy.

"Naaarh, your bump is cuter than mine when I was in my third trimester."

"Well, I hope it doesn’t grow bigger than this. I feel so heavy," Matilda pouted again. She was happy because Devin was always there for her, but as for carrying the child, nobody could help her with it.

"It will grow a little bigger than that, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be as big as mine. I’m still trying to lose all that belly fat before my wedding day," Sabrina revealed excitedly.

Both her sister and Matilda were very happy to see her excited about the wedding once again. ƒrēenovelkiss.com

Have you set the date already?" Lizzy asked curiously, joining Sabrina on the garden bench.

"No," Sabrina responded before she paused. "Please excuse me." Then she beckoned to one of the servants. "Get some more cups and bring more tea."

She turned to Matilda again and said, "Come and sit down. Don’t stand for too long with the weight, lest it affects your legs later."

She recalled the number of times Robin had to massage her legs with warm water at the latter stage to relieve her swelling.

Matilda sat down at the same time the servant returned with more tea and cups as Sabrina said to Lizzy, "I will set the date after reaching my weight loss goal."

Matilda’s brows raised and she was about to say something when Lizzy asked again, "I heard that breastfeeding helps to lose the baby fat. Is it true?"

Lizzy’s seriousness in pregnancy and nursing issues made Sabrina suspicious and she asked, "Lizzy, are you pregnant yet? You are asking the question as if you are preparing for delivery."

Matilda laughed as Lizzy replied, "I wish I was pregnant." She sighed and continued, "Maybe it’s because I’m too desperate to experience it. I will just relax and allow nature to take its course but I’ve told Dan that we have to do it every day."

Sabrina and Matilda laughed at the seriousness Lizzy attached to her demand. "God, do you want to die?" Sabrina asked jokingly.

Lizzy shrugged and responded, "Well, I enjoy it so answer my question. I’m very concerned with the weight loss after childbirth."

Sabrina pursed her lips and responded, "Not for everybody but it does in my case. I haven’t started exercising but nursing two babies seems to be worth it," Sabrina shrugged. "Also, I could thank my naturally thin frame. Even during pregnancy, I didn’t gain much weight in other areas of my body like most women do. Only my stomach seemed as if it would fall and leave me standing," Sabrina added, as Matilda and Lizzy laughed.

"I hope the same thing would happen in my case," Matilda said with hope. After some more talks and more of Lizzy’s silly questions, the two women left.

However, the support that Sabrina received from her family and especially her husband was unexpected.

With grandma Margaret and the maids around, Sabrina did not need the services of a nanny.

One evening, as the babies lay sleeping on Robin’s naked chest, Jacob knocked on the door and after entering, he said to Robin,

"It’s not in my place to say this, but I think there’s a big problem with JC Minerals."
