Chapter 13: Chapter 13 – Craving his ex-wife after divorce

At the Jewels Group of Companies, Robin had arrived an hour before midday. His secretary, Aria sat from across his desk, while he gave her directives.

"Inform the CEOs of the five most performing companies. Arrange for a meeting tomorrow at..." Robin was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. His brows knit with worry when he saw the name on his screen, knowing he had dropped her off not long ago. "I’ll take this," he excused himself and answered the call. "I’m busy, Zayla, do you need anything?"

"Why should I forget? I will finish up and see a friend, then I will be on my way," Robin responded casually. Then he faced his secretary after ending the call and said,

"If any of them is late or does not show up, they will be sacked."

Aria made her notes on her iPad before she asked carefully, "Yes sir. Does it mean the meeting with the directors of the various companies will be after that?"

"Schedule that to noon. Thirty minutes after lunchtime, to be precise. I will be making a trip to New Jersey the day after."

Aria ensured to note everything as he had said. "Everything is duly noted, sir, is there anything else?"

"That is all there is for now and make sure you confirm the reason why Mr. Chance was here earlier."

"Yes sir."

"You are dismissed."

Robin took his coat and left, driving to the bar to meet with Daniel. "I’m surprised you made it early. No whores too," Daniel observed and spoke. His voice was slightly loud due to the loud music. In front of them were bottles of martini and glasses. Robin sat in front of Daniel and asked, ignoring his taunting statement earlier.

"Do you know any top management at the Clifton Hospital?"

"John, you know him too," Daniel responded casually while eyeing a group of ladies. As if nudged, he looked away as Robin spoke,

"Yes, but I don’t want to use my identity to get the information I need."

"What do you want to find out?" Daniel sipped a glass of martini and asked.

Robin paused, as his phone began to ring. Muting it, he returned to the conversation. "I need Sabrina’s health...." The phone was vibrating and whiles he pushed it away again, Daniel got curious. He stretched his neck to check the caller.

"Isn’t that your first love? Why aren’t you answering?"

"She’s at home, waiting to be fucked," Robin revealed and gulped down a full glass of martini at a goal. His throat burned.

"That should make you happy," Daniel smiled and responded.

"It doesn’t," Robin instantly sneered at the statement but Daniel seemed surprised.

"Strange."

Robin filled another glass with a martini but sipped it this time. "I don’t know Dan but I don’t feel like doing it with her."

Daniel’s brows creased but Robin’s phone was now vibrating on the table. "That is strange but are you going to answer the phone?" He asked seriously when Robin made no attempt to do so.

"No. It was good I got drunk that day because I can’t seem to just fuck her in my right sense."

Daniel wanted to laugh but Robin was in bad shape, he held it in. Subtly, he advised, "You should try harder. A woman has needs."

"She saved my life and I can’t treat her like a whore."

Daniel was getting confused by Robin’s utterances so he asked, "So was Sabrina a whore when you fucked her?"

At the mention of Sabrina, Robin looked around worriedly, saying in a low tone, "Keep your voice down. You don’t understand."

"Then make me," Daniel said with a grimace.

Robin gulped down another full glass of martini, biting a sliced lemon after to reduce the burn. He began to feel tipsy and revealed, "Sabrina is the only woman I ever kissed and I’m used to doing it with her without protection but I can’t seem to do so with any other woman."

Daniel laughed and gulped down his remaining glass of martini. Filling the glass again, he asked, "So you’ve never kissed Zayla?"

"Perhaps when I was drunk but I don’t remember," Robin gritted his teeth and spoke. Daniel shook his head in shock. This did not sound like Robin.

"And the sex?" He asked.

"I don’t remember it either but we were both naked when I woke up. I regretted it when I woke up but since she got pregnant, it made me happy," Robin said with a small smile.

"Have you checked the CCTVs?"

"I got none but Zayla would not lie to me. I just can’t face her because I can’t give her what she wants. I need time to get over Sabrina but Zayla’s seems to be in a hurry."

Daniel felt like it was a different person. Whereas seeing how Robin was already tipsy, he said, "You know what, you need to go home. We will talk again when you are sober."

"I’m not drunk," Robin spoke with anguish.

"Then stand up and walk," Daniel taunted.

Robin stood up and staggered but Daniel caught him timely and walked him out of the bar. He drove Robin to his penthouse where he handed him over to Zayla and left.

Zayla was upset that her plans were failing. She managed to take Robin to the couch and drew close to kiss him on the lips when envy rose in her heart at his words,

"Sabrina, are you back? You know I miss you right?"
