Yoon Tae-seo lifted Park Han-su’s chin when he noticed Han-su’s gaze drifting toward his stomach.

“It’s not showing yet.”

“When will it?”

“Even when it does, it won’t be that noticeable. Omegas don’t show that much.”

So don’t look at it like that—Tae-seo lightly tapped Park Han-su on the head.

“All right then, should we go eat?”

“Eat?”

Tae-seo’s steps slowed as they walked down the hallway.

“Yeah. Aren’t you hungry?”

“You... you met up with me just to eat?”

When Park Han-su asked what he wanted to eat, Tae-seo stopped walking and turned to face him.

“You’re the one who asked to meet up, so why are you saying random shit now?”

Even after dropping by the admin office to file a leave of absence and meeting with the professor, Park Han-su stuck by his side, spewing useless chatter. Stuff like, “Nice weather today, isn’t it?” or “Aren’t you hungry?”

That was getting on Tae-seo’s nerves even more, so he stepped in front of Han-su and crossed his arms. He stared him down, clearly not planning to move until he got an answer. Han-su looked around awkwardly.

“What’s your deal?”

“It’s just... I don’t think this is the place to talk. Can we do this outside?”

“Why not here?”

Following Han-su’s gaze, Tae-seo looked around too. Maybe it was because of summer courses, but there were some familiar faces passing by. Still, those who made accidental eye contact with him quickly turned their heads.

“There are too many eyes.”

“Wasn’t it always like that? I’ve always been popular.”

“That’s... true.”

Normally, Tae-seo would’ve ripped into him for talking about being popular, but this time Han-su held his tongue.

“You seriously think I don’t notice all those stares?”

“So you do know?”

“Of course I do.”

Tae-seo added, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

‘Isn’t Yoon Tae-seo bullying Seo Da-rae again using that excuse about liking Kang In-hyuk? And now he’s apparently seeing Kang Se-heon—guess he went from harassing Da-rae to dating his crush. What a temper on that guy, and he sure has high standards.’ That sort of stuff, right?”

Han-su’s expression shifted into something impossible to define, but Tae-seo didn’t stop talking.

“But whatever, it’s all temporary. Once I take my leave, it’ll all blow over.”

It’s not like he cared that much about rumors in the first place. The ones involving Kang Se-heon got under his skin a little, but since Se-heon didn’t make a big deal of it, Tae-seo just let it go. But now Park Han-su, who had just been quietly listening, let out a loud sigh.

“I thought you actually knew.”

“Huh? There’s more? Did I fuck up again?”

“I’m not sure if you did, but there’s some weird shit going around.”

When Tae-seo gave him a look like what are you talking about, Han-su hesitated, then started fidgeting with his pocket. He pulled out his phone, tapped the screen a few times, then held it up to Tae-seo’s face. It was so close that he couldn’t even read it properly. Annoyed that Han-su couldn’t do even this properly, Tae-seo grabbed his wrist with a scowl and adjusted the distance so he could actually see.

“What is this?”

It was a group chat that Han-su had shown him. Notifications were still popping up at the bottom, as if the conversation was ongoing. Without even glancing at those, Tae-seo scrolled up to check earlier messages. He found himself the topic of bizarre, twisted rumors.

“Where the hell do they pick up this kind of bullshit.”

Ignoring Han-su’s muttered comment behind him, Tae-seo swiped down through the messages and read the most recent ones. It all started with someone saying they had just met Seo Da-rae. That person claimed Yoon Tae-seo was dating Kang Se-heon because of Seo Da-rae. Others jumped in, speculating and connecting the dots however they pleased, until they came up with a nice, juicy story: Tae-seo had shifted his interest from Kang In-hyuk to Kang Se-heon, and was now bullying Seo Da-rae again because of that.

Not only were they mocking Tae-seo for going from In-hyuk to Se-heon, they were painting Kang Se-heon as some pathetic guy being toyed with by Tae-seo.

Tae-seo’s shoulders trembled in anger.

“Hey, hey, calm down.”

“Let go. I’m not letting those fuckers get away with this.”

Sure, before transmigrating, he’d been into Kang In-hyuk and had bullied Seo Da-rae over it. But never—never—had he bullied Da-rae because he liked Kang Se-heon. And now they were saying Se-heon knew and just let ⊛ Nоvеlιght ⊛ (Read the full story) it happen?

He didn’t care if people spread rumors about him. Yoon Tae-seo had always been the villain anyway. But Kang Se-heon was different.

“I won’t let this slide. Especially not the bastard who started it.”

“Wait, Tae-seo, calm down and just hear me out—if you get too worked up...”

Park Han-su trailed off, then lowered his voice.

“It’s not good for Blessing.”

The moment he heard “Blessing,” Tae-seo calmed down immediately. He placed a hand on his stomach—there didn’t seem to be anything unusual. Trying his best to relax like Han-su said, he exhaled a final, frustrated breath and ran a hand through his hair.

“It’s just rumors anyway. Like you said, they’ll die down eventually.”

“That’s not the issue. It’s your hyung...”

“Se-heon hyung?”

“Yeah. This kind of crap sticking to him—it’s not right. You know how amazing and put-together he is, and they’re dragging him down with this nonsense. We need to shut it down properly.”

While Tae-seo was still thinking about what to do, Han-su spoke up.

“Then ask Se-heon hyung for help.”

“No way. He’s busy.”

“Then let’s just post in the chatroom. Say it’s all bullshit.”

“You think they’ll believe that?”

“Well....”

Park Han-su couldn’t get the words out properly. Honestly, even he wasn’t sure how much Tae-seo stepping in would help fix the rumors. After all, it was true that Yoon Tae-seo had bullied Seo Da-rae in the past—no matter how much he denied it now, it was pointless. Unless Kang Se-heon himself spoke up, maybe then things would be different.

“Instead of that, why don’t you just talk to hyung?”

“I told you he’s busy.”

“Just listen to me for a sec.”

Park Han-su hurried to continue.

“Sure, we know Kang In-hyuk, so we figure people just say shit because he’s popular. But Se-heon hyung? They’ve only heard of him. If he stepped forward himself, these assholes wouldn’t dare say he’s pathetic or whatever.”

He had a point. Even when people bashed Yoon Tae-seo, no one really dragged Kang In-hyuk into it. Because In-hyuk was impressive. Everyone knew Tae-seo liked him but got rejected, and out of jealousy, he took it out on Seo Da-rae.

But this time was different. How did Seo Da-rae even end up in the middle of Tae-seo and Kang Se-heon? Tae-seo clicked his tongue, annoyed.

“What the hell does Seo Da-rae have to do with this? What kind of relationship does he even have with Se-heon hyung?”

“Maybe he just ran into him somewhere, like I did?”

Park Han-su answered vaguely.

“Anyway, Se-heon hyung’s a no-go. I’m not dragging him into this crap when he’s busy, just because of some dumb rumors.”

“Then let’s just ignore it.”

“I don’t like that either.”

“Well, you don’t want this, you don’t want that—what do you want, then?”

Frustrated, Park Han-su beat his own chest. A classmate walking by saw him and gave him a weird look. Han-su waved them off, shooing them away like a crazy person.

“There’s someone who can fix this.”

Tae-seo confidently raised his phone and searched for a number. He brought it to his ear, and after a few rings, the other person picked up. Tae-seo beamed, raising his voice—and even the tone of it lifted.

“Grandpa!”

“Grandpa? What the hell—why are you calling your grandpa all of a sudden...?”

Park Han-su gave him a look like he’d lost his mind, but Tae-seo mouthed silently while pointing at the phone.

“Who? Kang... Kang Hak... Wait—Chairman Kang Hak-jung?!”

No way—was he really roping that Chairman into fixing some school rumor? After saying it was just kids gossiping?

“I just remembered something I wanted to eat. But I want to eat it with you, Grandpa. Do you have time?”

“Hey, hey—what the hell are you planning to say to the Chairman right now—”

Park Han-su muttered in a panic, trying to stop him somehow, but Tae-seo turned away.

“Right now? Of course, I’m free. Oh, you don’t need to send a car. More than that, I have a favor to ask you.”

With the phone call underway, Tae-seo laughed even more brightly than before.

“I don’t want a building or anything like that. I’ll tell you the rest in person.”

“Dude, if he’s offering you a building, just take it.”

Dumbfounded by the absurd scale of this, Park Han-su muttered blankly and subtly grabbed the hem of Tae-seo’s shirt.

Since Se-heon was busy, Tae-seo went straight to Grandpa. Chairman Kang Hak-jung gave him an errand—told him to pick up some documents from Se-heon and bring them to the chairman’s office.

“Well, I was wondering if I should really go bother him when he’s busy, but Grandpa’s the one who told me to, so I guess I have no choice.”

Tae-seo mumbled like he was reluctant, but he quickly twisted it into his own interpretation.

“I really have no choice.”

For someone claiming to have no power, Tae-seo looked far too pleased with himself. He’d seen him in the morning already, but something about seeing him at the company felt even more exciting. He didn’t call ahead—just in case that would make Se-heon self-conscious.

He was briefly stunned by the scale of KH Group’s headquarters, but made his way up to the Executive Vice President’s office without any issues. Once he stepped off the elevator, he slowed down. If he got lucky, maybe he’d catch a glimpse of Se-heon working. With that hope in mind, Tae-seo strolled down the hallway. Maybe because it was the EVP’s floor, he didn’t run into a single person along the way—until he came across a secretary he recognized.

“Hello.”

“I wasn’t told Mr. Yoon Tae-seo would be coming...”

“Chairman sent me. I’m here to see Se-heon hyung—he’s inside, right?”

“The EVP isn’t at his desk right now.”

“Oh? Where’d he go?”

If it were a meeting, the secretary would’ve gone with him, so that probably wasn’t it.

“He’s just stepped away briefly. He’ll be back soon. Would you like to wait inside?”

“No, I’ll come back.”

If he waited in the office, the secretary would probably announce his presence ahead of time, and then Se-heon wouldn’t be surprised. Since it was just a quick step out, Tae-seo figured he’d head to the first-floor café and come back later to surprise him.
