The Martial Unity-Chapter 2939 Pluripotent Integration
2939 Pluripotent Integration
While his end goal was clear, he knew that it would be one of the most difficult feats that he had set out to. This goal was shaping up to be more difficult than simply integrating the Gu into his body due to the fact that he wanted to whole-scale replacement rather than the integration of a small sample.
"I will need to start out with a small sample, but the question is, how do I want to integrate into my body?" Rui pondered the question.
Did he just want to dump the pluripotent exotic matter into his body?
Maybe slowly pour into his bloodstream while he consumed a Healing Fruit to survive the toxic input and adaptively evolve to it while it was in his body, the way he had for the Gu poison.
"No, I can't just treat it like the Gu poison," he shook his head. "It's not innately powerful the way the Gu is, and its power depends on how it's used. I need to have more direct control than just letting it run around inside my body."
In that case, perhaps it was more optimal to simply gather it into his body.
His eyes lit up with a hint of excitement.
"Maybe I can create a Primordial Core?"
A sphere in the center of his body where he gathered all the pluripotent exotic matter and kept it until he needed it for whatever purpose.
"That would make more sense than just allowing it to run amuck inside my body. But I will still need to develop some immunity to the substance. Such a strange form of matter would definitely be instantly lethal," he murmured to himself. "Thankfully, the primordial seed doesn't seem to have any compressional limits."
This was because it wasn't comprised of discrete particles that could not squeezed together, thus it could theoretically be squeezed infinitely if one was strong enough.
"I also need to consider getting samples of other substances for transformation but…" he winced. "I don't think I have enough healing fruits for that."
In reality, he didn't even have any extra healing fruits. There were hundreds of Martial Sages and each of them needed a fruit in their final battle against the Beast that Roared, without which they were truly screwed if the creature turned out to be as strong as they feared.
Even if there were a few extra fruits, the sheer impetus to keep them in case the battle against the Beast That Roared extended past the time limit of each fruit was too high. Not even he would be allowed to use it for his own selfish purposes.
"Then I will just have to do this the hard way," Rui narrowed his eyes. "But it will definitely be much harder than integrating the Gu poison without it."
When he assimilated the poison into his body, he not only had the Healing Fruit but also the Gigabrain active. It was thanks to both that he was able to integrate into his body in a relatively short amount of time. "It will take a year without those to take even the first step."
This was why he had suggested a year long preparation timeframe, because he knew he would need quite a lot of time to complete this objective while simultaneously preparing his fellow Martial Sages for the battle against the Beast That Roared.
He heaved a deep breath before commencing the process.
The smallest of drops of the pluripotent exotic matter entered his mouth before going into his digestive system.
For a while, nothing happened.
And then, it began.
"Rgh…!" he gritted his teeth, grimacing as he felt spikes of pain erupting across his entire body as the single drop of pluripotent matter threatened to destroy his metabolism. Thankfully, with the power of the Martial Soul, he had profound control over his entire body and his cells, able to activate a Darwinian adaptive evolution cycle that resulted in cells that could tolerate primordial seed in its pluripotent form. At the same time, it traveled across his entire body.
He couldn't store it in his body before he adapted to the substance, which was too dangerous.
If he got wounded badly and the Primordial Core ruptured, causing the pluripotent matter to bleed into his tissues, he would die on the spot. Thus, each drop he added to his Primordial Core needed to be cycled across his entire body before it could be added to the core.
He would need to do this constantly for a whole year to assimilate a large core of primordial seed by the time a year passed.
"I should also…" he winced, "save some time for learning how to use this in combat."
After all, it would be beyond dangerous to use a weapon and a system that he didn't quite understand or have mastery over against an opponent as dangerous as the Beast That Roared.
And thus, he gritted his teeth as he began the painful process of integrating the primordial seed into his body in a slow, grueling manner. It was a test of his perseverance and dedication. Thankfully, with the Eye of Prophecy, he had visions of the most perilous and darkest of futures where the seed ended up killing him.
With the power of the future, he could steer away from them, allowing him to accelerate what would have otherwise taken many more years of slower and riskier progress.
Simultaneously, the Martial Sages in the Beast Domain began their journey to develop the necessary coordination and a strategic framework of attack against their one final opponent that would allow them to take the optimal strategic approach. The Hive grew busy, imparting just a fraction of their endless knowledge and wisdom when it came to the topic of Martial coordination.
And thus, the Siege of Sages was paused temporarily as they did everything in their power to enhance their probability of victory over the next year.
They were on track.
