Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Familiar Architecture

"Okay, but I need to say hello to our captain first."

In her heart, she obviously trusted the members of her own squad more.

"Sure."

Lin Fu sent a message to Ivan and then followed Celia out of the school gate and onto the flying car, silent the entire ride.

Lin Fu was nearly dozing off when they finally reached the destination.

In the school cafeteria, Ivan opened his personal terminal and saw Lin Fu’s message pop up.

"Going out to eat with Celia?" Ivan looked up at the members of Celia’s squad dining in the distance and noticed everyone was there except Celia herself, which made him smirk, "This is quite odd; the heiress of the Grilward family actually went out of her way to invite Lin Fu for a meal."

"What are you talking about, Captain?" Ji Xiu leaned over to ask.

"I’m saying you better train hard. If you dare to hold us back during the competition, I’ll kill you."

Ji Xiu looked hurt, "Whine... I said before that I shouldn’t have joined your squad. I knew I’d be bullied, and now it’s come true."

"Get lost!"

"Yes, I’m getting lost right now."

"Come back here, if you want to get lost, you still need to serve us tea and run errands before you can go."

"Don’t forget your current standing."

Ji Xiu blinked his innocent eyes, "What standing? Surely I’m not the bastard son? It’s all over, my dad will kill me if he finds out."

"You are the one at the bottom of the team ranking now, not Lin Fu anymore."

Ji Xiu felt like he’d been struck by lightning, "Damn, I actually forgot about that."

"Gourmet Restaurant?" Lin Fu got down from the flying car and was immediately astonished by the neon sign in front of her because the architecture here, unlike the surrounding structures, was ancient Chinese in style, with ornate eaves and red palace lanterns hanging under the covered walkway.

And all of it was restored with such artistic conception.

It was completely different from other places that were mixed styles; this must have been the handiwork of a master deeply knowledgeable about Ancient Earth Era culture and architecture.

Celia had been secretly observing Lin Fu’s reaction.

"Celia, Lin Fu."

The voice of Nolan came from behind. Both turned to see Nolan, who had changed into everyday casual clothes, approaching swiftly with a tall, handsome young man in a gorgeous military uniform beside him.

Celia’s expression shifted slightly.

Lin Fu noticed the epaulets on the young man’s military uniform and her expression also changed. As the man approached, she and Celia simultaneously snapped to attention and saluted.

"Good day, Sir."

"You’re Nolan’s classmates, there’s no need to be formal," Joshua said in a friendly manner, "And I have to thank you, Celia. Otherwise, I would have needed to book half a year in advance to eat at the Gourmet Restaurant."

"Major General Roman Rod is being too modest. Others may need to reserve, but I’m sure you wouldn’t need to," Celia said flatteringly.

"Don’t be too humble yourself. So, this must be the famous Lin Fu? I’ve wanted to meet you for a while, but I didn’t expect it to be under these circumstances," Joshua said with a composed look, but inside he was quite intrigued.

"Ah? The officer knows me?" Lin Fu asked, perplexed.

"Of course." Joshua gave a suggestive wink, "Don’t you know me? He hasn’t mentioned me to you? That’s truly disappointing."

"Uh..." Lin Fu then realized that the high-ranking officer she was facing actually knew Fu Xing.

It made sense, after all, being high-level generals, it would be hard not to know each other.

"I..."

"Alright, no need to say more, I understand. He definitely didn’t mention me. I’ll have a word with him about that," Joshua said with a serious face.

Nolan urged from the side, "Come on, let’s go inside!"

"Yes!"
