People could tell that Zaya had the king wrapped around her little fingers and Cane had soft spot for her. Her twin brothers loved her so much too, but they used to use her as a shield, every time they got into trouble, especially Zander and Zaya loved her brother so much to let them be punished properly.

"You will put her into trouble."

"She will be our shield against father’s rage."

"What about not make him angry in the first place." Zenith then glanced at Lou. They were currently hiding behind the bushes. "Uncle Lou will chew us out."

Zander waved his hand to dismissed his concern. "I heard he is going to the east, they built this new city there and from what I heard there are a lot of food and amusement, people from Karam and Andelus Continent gathered there to do business and uncle Lou will go there to inspect the space."

"We can ask father to take us there."

"I want to try the portal."

"We have tried it before."

"But Za have not." Zander then shifted his attention toward his little sister. "Right Za?"

"I want to try it too," Zaya parroted what Zander said and she got a tight hug from her brother.

"That’s my sister!" Zander kissed her cheek and she giggled, but he reminded her to be quiet, because right now Lou was going to create a portal to go to the east.

Lou used to create a portal in the same spot, that’s why Zander knew where to go and when the merchant entered the portal, usually it would stay open for another five seconds, that was the time for them to sneak in and follow him.

"Let’s go now!" Zander said, he picked up Zaya and carried her in his arms, so Zenith couldn’t do anything.

Zenith planned to keep Zaya and let Zander went alone, but his twin brother seemed to read his plan and he took the precaution.

Therefore, Zenith didn’t have any other choice, but to follow his crazy plan. This was not the first time he did this though...

More so, Zaya looked happy with this new adventure. Not like what people thought of this little girl, where they expected her to be a timid and shy child like her mother, as it turned out, she was as mischievous as her two older brothers.

One time their mother said that she felt like she had three sons instead.

"Woah! This is amazing!" Zander was fascinated by the sight before his eyes. There were a lot of big houses being built and so many people from different continent. You would be able to tell from the way they dressed and what was more important was; they could smell a lot of delicious scent in the air.

The snacks sold in the stalls also looked very appetizing.

Even Zenith had to admit he was mesmerized by the sight. This was very different from the capital city, where everything looked very classic and rather ancient.

"Zan, I want that..." Zaya said, she pointed her finger at the red candy sold at one of the stalls. "Zan, I want that."

Zander grimaced. "But, I don’t bring money."

Zenith lost it, he covered Zaya’s ears, so she wouldn’t hear him cursing at Zander. "How can you not bring any money with you when you were the one, who suggested to go to this place?" He was in disbelief with his brother’s recklessness.

"Eleven years old kid doesn’t bring money around, okay."

However, the three of them startled when they felt this strong aura from behind them, as if they were prey and was being hunted.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Lou didn’t believe with what he was seeing.

He heard their squabble and he thought he only misheard it, but decided to check because he also heard Zaya’s voice. He wouldn’t put pass them that they followed him here, especially Zander and Zenith, the two of them were on their rebellious state and had been acting out often lately.

"Uncle Lou!" Zaya called him sweetly, she raised both of her arms, her blue eyes shone brightly and under the sunlight, her auburn hair made her look like she was on fire. "Uncle Lou, up! Up!"

The little girl asked him to be picked up with her sweet smile, how could Lou have a heart to refuse her?

Begrudgingly Lou picked Zaya up from Zander’s arms and continued to scold the two of them. "Do you even know what you are doing?! You even bring your little sister here!"

Zander and Zenith lowered their head. The third person that they were scared of aside from their mother and father was this uncle.

But obviously, it didn’t stop them from doing what they did now. Lou wondered where they got all this curiosity that led them into trouble.

"Your father is going to kill you when he learned about this, especially if he knew you got your sister involved in this!" Lou felt his head was spinning. Cane might hang him as well. He was very protective of his daughter, more than he did to his mate now. Well, to be fair, Iris was more than capable to protect herself. "Do you know what you are doing?!"

Zenith still kept his head low, but he glared at his twin brother, while Zander didn’t make a peep.

It was Zaya, who spoke for them. "Uncle, you scared Za. Don’t be angry, okay?" A kiss landed on Lou’s cheek. "Za wanted to go, Zan said there are a lot of delicious food here."

"Knowing your father, he will definitely deliver a dozen carriages if you really wanted something, Za. You only need to ask him."

"But, Za missed uncle. Za wanted to go on trip with uncle Lou." Zaya hugged Lou’s neck and gave his other cheek a kiss as well, which rendered the merchant speechless. "Uncle, uncle, Za wanted that candy." She pointed the candy that she wanted earlier.

In the end, Lou relented. "I will save my energy to scold you, because your father will do it later." He then walked toward the stall and bought the three of them the candy.

"See? I told you, Zaya is the best. If she was with us, there is nothing we need to be worried about." Zander smirked smugly at Zenith and then patted his shoulder, as if he was an old person. "Stop frowning and enjoy this trip before we faced our father’s wrath."

Zander was too carefree and sometime, Zenith felt like to smack his head, but more importantly, he wondered how could he always get involved with Zander’s plan, even though he didn’t want it.

In the end, Lou had to bring the three children in his meeting with the merchant from Karam continent.

And when they returned, just like they had predicted, they met with the livid king and queen. Lou had a second thought to create a portal and flee from there, but he remembered the magic stone with him was not enough, or else, he would have sent them back right away.

He was going to miss his meeting if he had to send them back first and get more magic stone after.

"Hey! Don’t be mad with me! Not my fault! Not my fault!" Lou immediately explained the situation quickly.

"Daddy!" Zaya wriggled her body from Lou’s arms and rushed toward her father, but Cane didn’t pick her up. "Daddy? Daddy is angry?" Zaya pursed her lips.

"Go back with your mother," Cane said. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to get to his sons with Zaya was there.

Iris immediately picked Zaya up and scolded her, as she walked back to the pack house. Lou tailed behind her, he exclaimed that he didn’t bring them intentionally. He didn’t want to get scolded by the king too.

"You are in a grief trouble, sons." Cane’s voice was hard and commanded their full attention, making them realized how big of trouble they got themselves into, especially without Zaya there to appease their father’s rage.

As the punishment, the two of them would get into more training and learned the state affair sooner, which made Zander and Zenith groaned in frustration, because they didn’t like it, since it would cut off their play time.

Meanwhile, for Zaya, she was not allowed to go out for a day, but Lil Thing would accompany her to play.

"Daddy, mommy, I am sorry..." Zaya apologized and it melted Cane and Iris’s heart. "Can I go out to play." She looked at them with her big, innocent eyes.

"No." Cane and Iris replied at the same time firmly. She couldn’t get away with everything by acting cute.

One night, Zander approached his father. "Should I learn about all of these?" He was fed up.

"Yes. You are going to be responsible to a lot of people’s lives."

"I don’t think I will be a good king like you," Zander sounded dejected.

Cane caressed his head. "I don’t think I am a good king too."
