The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter-Chapter 958: THE FINAL BATTLE (24)
Chapter 958: THE FINAL BATTLE (24)
Initially, Lou thought, his fire would be enough, but as it turned out, it was not that easy to destroy Decratic’s body.
This devil creature had a thick body that filled with black magic and it was as hard as stone. Lou’s fire couldn’t even burn it.
Therefore, it took the four of them, the chosen protectors of the Serafim to get rid of him. They used their divine power and even so, it took them more than five hours to really purge his body.
While the four of them had to focus on the task at hand, Cane had to find the other two pillars to stop the poisonous miasma and the monsters emerged from the fissures on the ground.
They couldn’t rest just yet.
"Stay with Iris," Cane said to Jace and Ethan, while he would go with Zephyr and the remaining warriors. Because Lu was the only existence that could sense the pillar, thus Cane had to leave Iris in the other’s care.
He didn’t like the idea, but the situation didn’t allow him to stay by her side.
The monsters had vanished because of Decratic’s backlash, but the fissures were still there and even though the backlash wiped out the red smoke that threatened to kill them, as far as the fissures still existed, the red smoke started to appear again.
Unfortunately, just like how the backlash had eradicated everything, it killed all the surviving warriors, only a few of them managed to avoid the mass murder.
Lil Thing managed to get away from the backlash with Derick on its back, also a dozen of warriors that followed the white bear to survive.
It was devastating to know that they could no longer see their fellow warriors, not even their remaining was left. Everything had turned into dust. Thousand of warriors had fallen and the survivors could only star at the desert, which became a mass grave for their friends.
They joined the alpha and Zephyr later on to find the pillar.
There were two pillars and they had to find those two soon before the poisonous miasma spread far like before and killed all of them.

Letto protected the sixteen little girls, as they fled from the palace. They reached Celestial Moon pack just in time before the backlash occurred and managed to survive, as they hid inside a cave near the Untouched Land.
"Don’t worry. Don’t worry. We will be fine," Letto said, as he consoled the two younger girls, who were crying, while the rest of them looked resigned.
They didn’t seem to care whether they survived of this or not. For children around their age to give up to life, it told a lot about what they had gone through.
From where they were staying, they could hear the thunderous sound of the backlash, as the ground rattled and the harsh wind carried the smell of death.
Letto didn’t know how long they stayed inside there, but when everything became a little bit calmer, he went out to check out the situation, he left the girls inside the cave and let Annie be in charge of them.
"I will not go for long. Stay here with the other, okay?" Letto didn’t touch her, most of the girls hated to be touched, especially with man.
"Okay," Annie said in small voice.
Letto looked hesitant when he wanted to speak again, but he needed to tell her about this. "Just in case, I didn’t return. Just in case." He emphasized this words, because he could see how Annie’s face had turned ashen. "Just in case I didn’t return, you need to go to Golden Light pack. Luna Iris said there are her people there. You and the other will be fine and taken care of."
Annie bit her lip. "Okay." She nodded. "But, you have to comeback too."
"I will. I will."
With that Letto left the cave, but little did he know someone could smell their scent from inside the cave and it guided him to them...
Meanwhile, Cane and his small party headed toward the Celestial Moon pack, because there was where he could feel the pillar.
The alpha was in rush to get it done, so he could return to his mate. Even though Iris was considerably safe with his beta and gamma, also her four protectors, who currently purged Decratic’s body, but he was still unable to bring himself away from her.
The mate bond was no longer there. It felt weird without it, as if there was this hollow in his heart, making him anxious when he was away from her, as if he was going to lose her.
The other beasts were having a hard time to follow their alpha’s pace.
On their way to the Celestial Moon pack, before they could reach the Untouched land, the alpha spotted the pillar. It was a young man. From his scent, he was not a shifter.
However, Cane couldn’t be sure if he was not a magic user, since he saw him with Dexter once in the past. This was a young man, who used to follow the black magic user, thus he took a precaution approached against him.
The young man caught a sight of the beasts, but he thought they didn’t see him, so he hid behind a tree. He must have forgotten that his scent had given away his presence to the shifters.
"Come out." Cane shifted into his human form and the sight of him making Letto emerged from his hiding spot.
"You are alpha Cane," Letto said cautiously. He showed himself, but he didn’t come over. The beasts were very intimidating, but this alpha was a whole different story. Being this close with him alone was already very suffocating.
Cane stared at him. "You need to come with me," he said finally after a long silent. He could sense his fear and told the warriors to back down, creating comfortable distance for Letto, so he could be less nervous in this discussion. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"I can’t."
"I can use force." Cane could see that this young man was a mere human. He was not a magic user, but he was reeked of black magic.
"No, no, that’s not what I meant!" Letto became panic, as he waved his hands. "I meant, there are sixteen little girls inside a cave, I took them there to runaway from the monsters and the poisonous miasma, we need to get them first, alpha Cane." He looked very polite and genuinely cared for those little girls. "Luna Iris knew me. She said that you will come to save all of us. You and her will save the little girls."
That was something that Iris would say, if these little girls stayed in the palace, Cane didn’t need to use his brain to know the reason and what they had gone through.
"Where are they?"
Letto’s face lit up when he heard that. He was literally bouncing when he showed the way to Cane and the other warriors.
================================
The moment Joel and Finn returned with the help of the other two warriors, Abby immediately cured them, purifying the poisonous miasma from them.
It was not an easy job to do, while maintaining the protection shield.
Apparently, the backlash from the capital city didn’t reach Golden Light pack, so unfortunately, they still had to deal with it.
"We need more warriors! There are two monsters that managed to go through the fortress!" One of the warriors, who carried Joel back said loudly, informed the remaining warriors there to come with them.
There were only additional ten, but it was enough to fight against the Geromine and Vermeyes.
And with that, they went out, but the situation didn’t look good, because the fissures on the ground started to appear and it swallowed a few houses in the pack, which made it harder for them to fight the monsters.
Thing didn’t become better even after the fissures swallowed the two monsters, because it meant, they were trapped to save themselves and there was a chance the fissure would appear in the pack house too.
Not to mention the red smoke spread widely, they didn’t have other choice, but to breath in it.
Thankfully, they came in time to save Aliana and the other two beasts before the fissures swallowed them and right now, they had to find a way back to the pack house before the red smoke paralyzed them and they would die out here.
However, their worst nightmare happened, they watched how the fissures appeared in the garden, where it would reach the pack house, even now the house started shaking and they needed to let all the people knew about it so they could evacuate quickly.
Aliana felt her breathing became so heavy, but she forced herself to move faster. The fissure would reach the pack house.
===============================
Not long after Letto left, the girls cuddled against one another. They didn’t say anything, but the shifters children became so tensed up when they smell this familiar scent that belonged to the people that terrified them.
"He is here..." One of the girls said in whisper. Fear lingered in their hearts and their bodies started shaking. "He is here. He found us..."
Their little faces turned pale, even though they tried to keep a brave front, but you could see how their hands were trembling.
As if to confirm that, they could hear the sound of footsteps getting closer to the mouth of the cave and the heavy breath of him before they actually saw his figure.
"There you are..." Kellan looked messed up, but he was still alive. He smiled to the little girls, who crumpled to the end of the cave, as they stared at him with angry look on their faces. "Come here. I will take you to the safety. You know I will not hurt you."
"Stay away from us!" Annie roared. She hissed at the prince, as she stood in front of the other girls. Luna Iris said to stand up for themselves and to fight back.
"Wow... are you trying to defy me now, Annie?" Kellan tilted his head. "Come here and I will take it easy with you."
They were little girls, but they had gone through a lot in Kellan’s hand to be more mature than their age.
"You are not going to hurt us anymore!" Annie screamed, as she shifted into her beast and charged toward Kellan.
Obviously, she didn’t know how to fight, but the other shifters children, who could already shift, joined her.
Despite the fact, these little beasts couldn’t fight properly, there were still seven of them and Kellan couldn’t even shift into his beast to protect himself, since he had turned into something else entirely.
"Fuck off me!" One of the little beasts bit his ear and tore it, while the other clawed any part of his body that they could reach.
But, Kellan caught one of the little beasts and threw her to the ground. The little beast whimpered and was forced to shift back into her human form, she gritted her teeth and refused to cry, but her eyes filled with rage when Kellan kicked her away before she could dodge it.
Seeing this, Kellan grabbed one of the little beasts again and hurled her against the nearby tree, while holding back the pain.
He managed to backlash of Decratic, he was not going down because of these nasty mutts attacked him.
His body was built differently, he had this undying body, thus despite the agony, he wouldn’t die and he would make sure to kill all of them! Ungrateful, crazy mutts!
However, before the little beast’s body could hit the tree, a big brown beast had caught her and before Kellan could comprehend what was going on, he felt this extreme pain when his head was being ripped apart from his body and all he could see was a flash of black beast.
