43: Chapter 43 Nothing Happened

43 -43 Nothing Happened

Leon originally did not plan to conquer the forest, simply because it was too much trouble.

At this moment, hearing that the Orcs had already conquered half of the forest, he suddenly became somewhat interested.

Leon did not care what business the Orc had at the goblin camp, he flew straight to the Orcs’ camp at the abandoned fortress.

The Orc Leader Dekka, wearing refurbished plate armor, paired with a heavy Hard Head Hammer and Big Iron Shield, these armaments could definitely improve his Challenge Level by one or two tiers, was practicing with a few Orcs in leather and chainmail in the clearing.

Seeing Leon land on the circular tower of the abandoned fortress from afar, he immediately stopped the practice to greet him.

“Master, you have arrived,” Dekka looked up at Leon.

“I heard you’ve conquered half the forest?” Leon said as he jumped from the circular tower to the central courtyard, noting that the Orcs’ camp had changed drastically in just a month.

Gone were the Orcs sleeping on the ground; the Beast Pen now housed many pigs and sheep, though it still stank.

“Those goblins were a pushover.” Dekka raised his heavy Hard Head Hammer and swung it through the air, “One smash per goblin.”

Leon smiled wryly, noncommittally, and continued, “I also heard that you’ve given me a nickname, something like Red Blood Frenzy?”

“I came up with it.

It was for the master,” Dekka said proudly, looking like a dog wagging its tail thinking he had done something good.

“But I don’t like this nickname.” Leon did not indulge the Orc, thinking that it’s hard to change nicknames once famous, it must be established now while his influence hadn’t spread too wildly…

he truly felt indifferent about that nickname.

“Ah, but it sounds very good,” Dekka objected, “I think it sounds great.”

“What the Master says is the final word.” Lorug came over and asked, “Tell us what nickname you like, Master, so we can promote your great name accordingly.”

July Fire, Storm of Flames, King of Flame Demons, Heart of Molten Flame…

Leon pondered over several nicknames, none of which satisfied him.

He admitted he wasn’t talented in naming, in fact, he struggled with it, and after a long thought said, “Fiery Fire Bomb, let’s go with that for now.”

The phrase Fiery Fire Bomb in Chinese implies a quick-tempered and fierce personality, but Leon meant it literally.

In any scenario, it seemed better than Red Blood Frenzy.

“Fiery Fire Bomb…

I’ve got it.

I’ll immediately notify everyone to promote the Master’s great name as Fiery Fire Bomb,” Dekka lifted the heavy Hard Head Hammer.

Leon looked at Dekka’s loyally devoted face; the Orc originally looked detestable, but now strangely appeared adorably ugly.

“Master, did you come today to summon your subordinates for some matter?” Lorug asked.

“Conquering half the forest in a month is not bad progress.” Leon started posturing again, “How long will it take for the other half?”

“With just our power, it might be difficult,” Lorug explained, “At Wildfire Corner, the Hobgoblins…

they’ve built their camp well.

There’s a moat, wooden fences, each fence with a gate and two watch towers…

their warlord is also formidable.”

Leon knew about Hobgoblins, humanoid creatures with orange or red-brown skin, leading some of their kin races like the smaller goblins and the ferocious Bugbears.

They value physical and military strength, and are organized and disciplined, often being the aggressors that the settlers in the borderlands of civilization have to face.

“There’s also a Human village next to the forest,” Lorug continued, “A village inhabited by a few hundred people, their Civilian Captain is a formidable warrior, a Half-Elf Ranger who can shoot one of our Scouts dead from a hundred steps away, and they also have a well-preserved Spear Crossbow.”

“Previously, a Gnoll Warband attacked that village and couldn’t take it down, they had to detour,” Lorug added.

If it were just the Hobgoblins, Leon might have been somewhat interested, which warlord could withstand his Breaking Stealth Strike with Gathering Form and Scattering Energy, combined with the immobilization spell and Samadhi True Fire?

When it comes to a human village, Leon still felt some hesitations, especially the part about leading monsters to slaughter humans, there was some psychological pressure involved.

When he grew up, simply showing up without taking action could subdue the villagers, which was a different matter altogether.

“I understand,” Leon dismissed the idea of conquering the forest, “Continue your efforts.”

“Ah…” Lorug was confused, this was not the reaction he expected, not the encouragement of the Red Dragon, but rather his aid.

“Is there a problem?” asked Leon.

“No, no,” Lorug quickly shook his head.

“Don’t just think about conquest, have you digested the half forest you have taken over?” Leon, with a modern human soul, had keen insight, not even human scholars could match, “You have so few people, even if you secured the entire forest you wouldn’t be able to control it.”

“What do you have besides the Beast Pen?

You have no forge, how will you replace damaged weapons?

Do you have supplies in your grain storage?

Once a war starts, everyone goes into battle, what are you going to eat, the northwest wind?” Leon snorted.

“We can just plunder those things,” Dekka interjected.

“What if you can’t plunder them?” Leon retorted.

Dekka had no reply.

“What you need to do now is to replenish your ranks, like sending people to find members from your former tribes.

When the population has increased, establish a forge, and when all preparations are adequate, then conquest can follow.”

Leon muttered, “Why can’t Orcs defeat Humans?

Because of the humans’ accumulation, they can lose ten times, just winning once against you is enough.”

Lorug was dumbfounded after hearing Leon’s words, feeling his worldview shattered.

A Red Dragon, known for its enthusiasm for slaughter and plunder, was actually advocating conservatism; albeit logical, it was certainly something the Orcs could not execute.

“Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving.” Leon flew away.

Surprisingly, the Red Dragon didn’t demand any offerings, and yet, everyone had long been prepared with money and gemstones scavenged from various places; today, they even sent people to the conquered goblin tribes to demand supplies, making Lorug even more bewildered.

Since nothing else happened, Leon continued with his life.

In his mind, doing anything now didn’t have much significance since he hadn’t settled down completely yet, much like someone who hadn’t bought their own house yet; growing up seemed to be the most critical thing—actually, it was just his laziness.

One day, two days, three, four days.

Leon didn’t know that while he felt pressured about leading monsters to slaughter human villages, the people in this world not only felt no pressure about slaying dragons but were rather enthusiastic about it, especially if it was a Young Dragon or a baby dragon.

As for his existence, in the past, as a baby dragon, he was well-behaved and kept out of trouble.

Now, having transformed into a Young Dragon and mastering several spells, he wasn’t so tiny and cautious anymore.

Often soaring in the sky, it didn’t help that he had also conquered a group of Orcs, who then took over half the forest, broadcasting his presence everywhere.

It almost reached Grey Mountain Town and the ears of the Mother Dragon, assuming she was still there.
