Sticking to Mr.Chairman in This Life-Chapter 34 - Holding Hands
34: Chapter 34 Holding Hands
34 -34 Holding Hands
Su Ge stiffened all over.
Her gaze subconsciously fell on Chu Yihan’s hand holding hers.
His thick, powerful palm seemed to be infusing an invisible strength into hers.
Su Ge’s palm gradually warmed up, and even her body started to slowly heat up.
Was Chu Yihan holding her hand because he felt her nervousness?
But being held by him like this…
why does it seem like she’s getting even more nervous?
Especially since neither of them was speaking, in such an enclosed space, the atmosphere…
“Um…
isn’t Assistant Ling coming with us to Chu Garden?” Su Ge thought hard to find a topic and, upon speaking, realized her throat was exceptionally dry.
Assistant Ling always shadowed him closely, but this time going to Chu Garden, Chu Yihan didn’t bring him along.
What did he do wrong?
“He left the company without permission yesterday, so I am making him reflect for a day.”
Chu Yihan took out a bottle of water and passed it to Su Ge indifferently.
“Thank you.” Su Ge withdrew her hand from his palm and, with a slightly flushed face, accepted the water with both hands.
The palm suddenly felt empty, and Chu Yihan’s expression changed subtly.
He didn’t say anything and turned his gaze out the window.
Su Ge took a big gulp of water, and her throat finally felt much more comfortable.
Putting down the water, she pondered and said, “Perhaps Assistant Ling had some emergency?”
Assistant Ling had been loyally by Chu Yihan’s side for many years.
Such a small matter should not warrant a punishment, right?
Chu Yihan did not respond, continuing to look out the window.
Su Ge inexplicably felt that his aura had turned much colder.
The temperature inside the car seemed to have dropped a few degrees, too.
Su Ge opened her eyes wide in innocence.

Did she say something wrong?
She stared at Chu Yihan’s handsome profile for a while and then her gaze gradually moved downwards, unintentionally falling on the hand that had just held hers.
His fair palm rested casually near his thigh, and the morning sunlight streaming in through the window made his well-defined fingers look exceptionally beautiful.
Su Ge swallowed and her fingers twitched involuntarily.
The hand that had been on her knee quietly fell onto the cushion, and then, as if beyond her control, she reached out bit by bit, bit by bit towards the slender, fair hand.
Just as she was about to touch it, Su Ge held her breath nervously, glanced at Chu Yihan’s face which showed no reaction, then she gently exhaled and stealthily held onto that hand.
Chu Yihan’s gaze snapped over to her.
Su Ge got a shock and hurriedly turned her gaze to the window, turning her nape towards Chu Yihan and quickly closed her eyes.
After a few seconds of frozen air, Chu Yihan reacted by grasping the small hand that landed on the back of his hand, enveloping it tightly with his warm palm.
Su Ge’s heart pounded very fast and then gradually slowed down.
Because the temperature in the car had risen again.
The man beside her, his breathing had returned to normal.
It was really because she removed her hand from his.
But she had to use both hands to drink water.
Just like him, he couldn’t open the bottle cap with one hand either, right?
What a stubborn man.
Dawn’s gentle light made the girl’s tender face blush beautifully in the morning glow.
Two hours later.
The car entered Chu Garden.
A heavy, oppressive, and chilling atmosphere struck from all directions, startling Su Ge awake in the car.
Looking out, she happened to see a row of sculptures with swords in hand, fiercely pointing towards her.
Su Ge trembled with fear and instinctively buried her face down.
After the car passed, opposite the row of sculptures, stood a devilish statue.
The architectural style of Chu Garden was mainly European, with round arches, soaring spires, sculptures seen everywhere, and fountains that rose and fell, grand and yet with a touch of eeriness.
