'Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT!'

'What sort of power is this? Those are Tier 5s, not cabbages!'

'How is he killing them so easily? What type of energy is he using for him to overpower Mystic Force and Mystic Mana so easily?!'

'I knew he was strong but not to this extent damn it!'

'The losses are becoming unbearable damn it!'

As Melissa cursed Divine, his entire family, his ancestors, and his entire lineage, she darted through the carnage, avoiding the whips inhuman reflexes enhances by rare treasures.

Two whips were swung at her as she performed a roll mid-air, and with a grace and calmness that most Tier 4s would not have in this situation, she performed an extremely straight handstand with one hand, dodging the two whips.

Her body blurred as another whip came for her, and this time around, she attacked as she dodged.

Her gun fired bullets that had a formation which could temporarily seal one's mana pathways if struck, and two other Tier 5s followed her lead, aiming for Divine's joints and eyes.

Divine's pupils narrowed when he saw the bullets. Due to his experience in his past life, he recognized the bullets, and he knew how dangerous they were.

'These bullets were not popularized and mass produced until a century later. So the Black Mandate already had access to the bullets.'

'Well, it's not surprising since the Black Mandate is also a top-tier force. I can't believe I was fooled by her and led to the deaths of my friends and the destruction of all that I've built.'

'I will never forgive you, Melissa.'

Just as the bullets were about to reach him, Divine dispelled the flaming-ice whips, and he inhaled and exhaled deeply.

'I can block them with the whips, but they'll nullify the power behind my whips for a second at most, and I can't allow that. Even a second is enough for them to take advantage of.'

With a shout, he spun in place and his body ignited in a nova of white flames and glacial mist.

The bullets melted before they touched him, and the mist froze the others mid-air, causing them to shatter harmlessly.

Curses echoed as the remaining members of the Black Mandate did their best to fend off the flaming ice attack of Divine.

Whoosh!

The members of the Black Mandate felt a huge suction, and then they realized that the flames were no longer burning them, instead they were being absorbed by Melissa's pure white massive serpent, Boros.

"Quickly!"

Melissa shouted out an order, and the Tier 5s instantly moved. With the help of Boros who was devouring Divine's white flames, they had time to finally attack.

Five Tier 5s dashed towards Divine with their respective weapons, while the remaining three Tier 5s began carving a formation into the ground, trying to complete a powerful gravity array.

After seeing the power Divine was exhibiting, their plan was not to kill Divine in his current state but to make him fully expend his energy.

With the gravity array which could not only affect multiple Tier 6s with a powerful body but even suppress one's flow of energy, they could turn the tide.

Divine saw this and his eyes gleamed coldly.

"No more games."

He clenched his fist and the temperature dropped instantly.

The ground cracked apart as two dragons, one of pure prismatic fire and one of transparent, bladed ice erupted from either side of him and roared toward the scattered enemies.

The eyes of the approaching Tier 5s eyes widened in shock and fear, and one of the Tier 5s, Badger, shouted.

"FALL BACK!"

However, it was too late.

The ice dragon tore through their defenses like paper, freezing their ice resistant weapons and armors, bodies, and even mana itself into brittle statues.

The fire dragon devoured them, burning armor, flesh, and spirit to ash in the blink of an eye.

Melissa's pupils shook and she subconsciously took a step back in disbelief when she saw the sigh of five Tier 5s dying to the attack of a Tier 3 in less than a minute.

The three Tier 5s were also shaken by the sight, and because of this momentary distraction, the formation they were building almost exploded.

"FOCUS!"

Melissa shouted with fury and a tinge of fear burning in her eyes which never left Divine for even a second.

She gritted her teeth so hard they bled, and then she threw a talisman, a bright golden lead inscribed with extremely complex runes, toward Divine.

It detonated into a chain of dozens of spells- seals, curses, and nullifying fields.

Divine's figure blurred.

He stepped, no, phased through the attacks as his body transformed entirely into a humanoid of pure white flames. His form twisted and burnt around him, and the restrictions that were placed on their surroundings to prevent teleportation or movement through space was nothing before him.

He reappeared in front of Melissa with a flaming white ice sword in his hand ready to split Melissa into two halves.

Although he could have gone for the three Tier 5s who were preparing a formation, he wanted to kill Melissa before she decided to escape.

'I'll deal with the formation later.'

CLANG!

A loud clang resounded which was then followed by a massive shockwave that destroyed the already destroyed Neon Headquarters.

Melissa's appearance had changed. Scales, long sharp claws, golden slits pupils, and a crown made out of golden bones with magnificent runes hovered above her head.

At the last moment, she had fused with her strongest serpent, Boros, and blocked the sword with her long claws that glowed with golden runes.

Even so, the force blasted her back dozens of meters with her bones screaming in protest.

'Whenever I fuse with Boros, I'm as strong as a low level Tier 6, but he was still able to send me away with a single sword swing.'

'He even melted and broke my claws.'

'He's faster, stronger, and more ruthless.'

She gasped as she had this thought, and then she looked up, seeing Divine walking towards her with calm and steady steps.

Each of his steps left a burning footprint into the ground with his longsword leaving a burning cut on the ground beside his steps.

Her eyes instantly went to Divine's mouth, where she saw a thin thread of fiery red and icy blue blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.

Hope flashed in her eyes, and then she glanced at the last surviving three Black Mandate members. She saw that the formation was almost completed and a small smile appeared on her lips.

'We can do this. He doesn't have long. I just have to hold on.'

"Who gave you the right to smile in front of me?"

Divine's cold voice echoed in her ears, and to her aura, she saw Divine spread out his hand in the direction of the three Black Mandates.

Her eyes widened in horror, and she screamed.

"NO!"

She watched as a pure white rotating fireball was released from Divine's hands. The fireball moved at a fast speed towards the three Black Mandate members, and they quickly jumped in separate directions, doing their best to dodge the fireball no matter what.

However, it was not enough.

The instant the fireball collided with the ground, it exploded into a massive rotating white fireball that instantly engulfed the three Tier 5s and burned them to ash.

Melissa's hands and eyes trembled when she saw that the last of her allies falling as ash unto the ground.

Step

Step

Step

The sound of Divine's footsteps drifted into Melissa's ears, and she looked at Divine.

She saw more blood dripping from the corners of Divine's mouth with a thin thread of blood leaking from his right eye.

She guessed that Divine was almost at his limit, however, she hesitated.

Fighting Divine in his current state was extremely dangerous, and she had no idea if he had any more abilities to pull off if she tried to fight him.

Numerous thoughts flashed in her mind, and she slowly stood with a calm expression.

The battlefield was silent, and the only sound that could be heard was the crackle of the white flames that continuously burned without going out and the soft hissing of melting white ice.

Divine slowly approached, and then he spoke, his voice low, cold, and reverberating like thunder across the burning field.

"Remember this in Hell, Melissa. It was I, Divine, that sent you there."

His prismatic flaming white ice sword retracted into his palm and condensed into a single spear of pure frozen flame.

He raised it, and then Melissa chuckled with a light smile.

"Because your name is Divine, you think you have the right to send people to hell? How cute."

Divine's gaze remained indifferent. Without saying a word, he threw the spear, and the spear moved as fast as lightning towards Melissa.

However, a spatial ripple twisted around Melissa, and Divine's eyes grew frighteningly cold and burned with fury at the same time.

She vanished at the last moment, and Divine's spear flew without killing her.

Divine snapped his finger and the flaming white spear turned into snowflakes.

"A void teleportation talisman." He muttered coldly as he staggered and fell to one knee, and then Corey's voice drifted into his ears.

"And where do you think you're going?"
