Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 18: Sell and earn.
Chapter 18 - Sell and earn.
Jared had requested of them, the available men in the village all began to gather the dead beasts at the center of the village.
Each magic beast they carried required at least five men, and even then it was still too heavy for them.
It took a couple of hours for them to finally get all the beasts gathered before they all sat on the ground to catch their breath.
Meanwhile, Jared was present where the rotting beasts were kept.
Most of the dead beasts that had begun to birth maggots and had gone cold were not healthy enough to be eaten. As such, Jared wanted them thrown out.
Or at least, that's what the villagers thought.
"Sell," he said out loud.
The sun was not yet completely out, thus the light from the system template could be seen illuminating his face.
[Selling 7 dead magic beasts will be 3890sp in total.]
Wasn't that too cheap?
Perhaps the life of magic beasts was far less superior than that of a human life.
Actually, Jared had hoped the price he could get from selling the magic beasts would be somewhere from 1 million sp to 5 million.
'Damn, the discrimination.'
Anything was better than nothing. Not like having dead beasts around the village would do any good.
Thus he agreed to sell the beasts to the system.
[You have successfully made your trade.]
[3890sp has been added to your account.]
[Total balance: 8890sp.]
As the system announced, the dead beasts that were stacked before Jared shattered into different magic particles. Not a single part of them was left; it was as if they were never there to begin with.
"Well, that does that, I guess."
He stood up to his feet, facing the direction of where the villagers were gathered.
Judging from the amount of meat they had, it should be enough to feed them for about six months, well, if the meat can last that long to begin with.
Jared knew he would have to think of a way to preserve the meat from going bad, but that was a different issue on its own that could be attended to later on.
In order not to disturb their work, Jared made his way back into his tent and sat down on the bed.
His sister, Ria, was still sleeping.
To transfer her curse, he would need another medium, something that could easily take on the curse and wouldn't affect society in any way.
For a curse that makes people forget whoever it touches, Jared wanted to be careful to not transfer such a thing to something that could potentially harm anyone or that very thing itself.
That was when an idea popped up in his head.
'Open project, Curse Transfer.'
[Request confirmed.]
[Curse transfer (7000sp) - This item allows you to transfer a curse from one victim to another.]
'Just as I thought. The system didn't explicitly say if the victim has to be human or not. Then again, can a non-living thing be a victim? Only one way to find out.'
He reached for the corner of the bed and picked up an empty bottle that was once filled with milk.
Transferring the curse to the bottle would most definitely affect nothing in society. It was just a meaningless bottle.
Thus, Jared went on with it.
[You have activated Curse transfer.]
[Curse has been transferred.]
'Oh, it worked.'
Jared turned to look at Ria.
Not like he could see the curse or anything, but he at least expected her to wake up; probably she felt some kind of change.
Then again, Ria had always been a heavy sleeper.
She could get kidnapped and transported to three different continents and still not wake up to know if something was wrong.
*Sigh*

He calmly lay on the bed, his arms tucked under his head as he closed his eyes.
'In any case, I am done with most of what I set out to do. I'm just left with...'
He entered a deep thought.
The more he remembered the responsibilities he had, the more anxious he got.
He still needed to find a way to get Kiara back into the village, and then the farmland, and also the watering hole.
At this rate, Jared would possibly run mad before he even gets to the farmland.
Still, his top priority had shifted to getting Kiara out of Ragoon village.
And if by any chance, she had been touched, abused, or even slightly damaged.
Jared didn't plan on hesitating to bring the whole place to the ground.
But for now, he rests.
...
Meanwhile, at Ragoon village.
This village was the third closest village to the northern borders, which meant they were close to Sikone village as well, neighbors if you will.
Their leader was a man called Olson the Third, a man who was said to control earth itself. And while he wasn't all that impressive, his second-in-command, a man who had awakened the Five Star rank, Orlando, was the face of the entire village.
Ragoon was known to be exploitative, taking the land of other villages and making them pay taxes while still taking their resources for themselves.
When it comes to the northern region, it wasn't news that people from other kingdoms came to sometimes trade with them due to the abundance of raw materials they had.
Because of this, Olson always tries to gather as many materials from other smaller villages as he can, so he could always have something to sell to the western and any other faction that wishes to trade with him.
One of the resources he had been eyeing was the watering hole the village, Sikone, had with them.
And for some reason, the people of this village refused to hand over their watering hole.
Something he didn't take very well.
Which then led to him doing something that completely shocked them all.
He took hold of their beloved companion.
Kiara.
"Hello, did you miss me?" Olson said with a smile on his face while standing at the entrance of the room.
Though covered with shadows, one could still see the glowing eyes on the face of the woman.
