In the minutes that followed, Zephyra explained everything that she knew about the pure twin girls whose hearts could be used in combination with a spell and other things to awaken Ravana.

"I had paper men watching them closely and I honestly do not understand how Enigma found them or more importantly how he found out about them. I made sure that nobody knew their names, not even Phoebe because I was afraid that something might hear it and carry the information to the demons." The spirit wondered, pausing before continuing.

"The girls live in the Riverbed lowlands; it is a small town with a very small population that is self-sufficient. No new residents are easily allowed to move there because it is a very private community. The people there are not really welcoming because they do not want themselves or their children to be corrupted by the wicked ways of the world.

Honestly, it is a bit of a cult without the inbreeding, brainwashing and other sketchy stuff that happens in cults. That said, they are religious, and their children are brought up in an upright manner. They are educated but some parts of various syllabuses are skipped depending on their lifestyle. The girls were able to grow up safely in that community." It elaborated further.

"The Riverbed lowlands?" David searched the map on his phone; he could not find such a town. "Never heard of it and it is not even mentioned on the country's map." He massaged his chin.

"Nothing here either." Nile said.

"Me too." Orson said.

This fascinated everyone and all those with phones started searching for the location of the town but found the same thing.

"Is there a mistake?" Miranda asked.

Rufus let out a knowing sigh. "There is no mistake, I have actually know of this place." He announced. "It is not on the map because it is between the boarder of Fog country and the Silver nation. It is hidden away in the middle of the rain forest which separates our countries.

From what I know, the forest was a source of conflict between the two nations with each claiming it but at the end of the day they both left it alone. As for the town inside the forest, the natives did not want to be part of any of the two countries, so they retained their independence." He informed them.

"So, it is kind of like a country in itself?" Rekha asked.

Shaking his head, Rufus disagreed. "It is now more like a secluded community of doomsday conspirators or people that find the world too tiring to live in. It is not big enough to be a country." He answered. "I happened to find refuge there while I was on a hunt thirty years ago. I know the chief who is the leader there, I helped him kill a werewolf that was mutilating their cattle. I don't know if he is still the chief, but I will go there myself and find out what is happening." He raised himself up to stand.

Before he could create a portal, the spirit made a coughing sound_one that immediately let them know that there was something that they ought to know.

"With all due respect can you just spill everything at once Zephyra instead of giving us information in bits! The fact that you are keeping secrets is the reason as to why we are in this messed up position in the first place. We should have found those girls a long time ago and kept them safe." Rufus spoke through gritted teeth.

"Where, in the academy which was full of traitors?" Maureen asked, skeptically.

Phoebe gave her aunt points for that. The academy and founding lane were not safe places for the girls, especially not with some of their very own people working with Azur and ghosts acting as his spies. Zephyra had been caught between a rock and a hard place when it came to the pure humans.

Although....maybe they could have put them to sleep and kept them in the space. But for how long? Would they do it until they died? That too was not fair to the girls.

Phoebe sighed. The only possible solution she could see was either corrupting the pure humans or killing them off.

Zephyra nodded once, what she was about to say was something she had not been planning to share but now that Rufus wanted to go to the Riverbed lowlands, it was best to tell them. "There is no point in going to the Riverbed lowlands Rufus, to cover their trucks, the demons ravaged the entire town, slaughtering everyone." It informed him. "My paper-men were neutralized, I only realized what had happened when we were fighting Othello and by then it was too late to do anything for the residents."

"My God!" Rufus whispered. What he had not shared was that he more than knew some of the relatives of that hidden town. Half of them were descendants of founding families that had abandoned the outside world after the supernatural war. Even though they no longer considered themselves as part of the founding families, it did not change what they were.

Phoebe felt a change in the air, and she looked around keenly. "Er.....guys I think that you have guests." Phoebe alerted everyone loudly, pointing at a group of ghosts that had not been in the tower all along.

They were not Saxon ghosts, these were strangers. They were good ghosts because they had made it past the wards of the tower. Their eyes were weary and hollow, and they donned tattered clothes which spoke of a battle that they had lost.

Rufus made his way towards the leader. "Chief Cunningham. My God I just found out; I am so sorry but what the hell happened. How did demons get inside with all the wards and protective talismans and arrays?" He asked, his voice desperate.

"Cunningham." Phoebe whispered. Was this ghost related to the founding lane Cunningham's?

Chief Cunningham's gaze roamed around the cracked hall. "It seems like you were involved in a battle of your own Rufus." He paused calculatingly_then, his face became more serious. "Werewolves happened to us, they were strong like nothing that I have ever seen in my life. They are the ones that destroyed our arrays and most of our protective mechanisms.

We killed all of them but the damage they had caused was enough for the demons to enter our settlement. They took my granddaughters before they killed all of us. That is why I am here, I came to ask for your help, find my grandchildren and look after them. You owe me hunter." He reminded him.

"How can I forget." Rufus answered, his memory running back to the day Chief Cunningham had given him refuge even though others in the settlement were against it.

Robert recognized some of the faces in the group of ghosts. "I see a guardian among them." He stated.
