Reborn As A Doomsday Villainess-Chapter 135: If he refuses I knock him out
Chapter 135: If he refuses I knock him out
"Oh.."
"I just need you to stay here and watch the kids. If anything happens tell the pilots to take off without us."
"...."
"What are you saying. It’s either we go together or we die together. Here’s the key to the car."
Qingran smiled and nodded, she would do what she needed to do as fast as she could.
She continued, "If Tzang Yichen refuses to cooperate, I’ll knock him out."
A voice piped in from the system console, calm yet teasing. [How do you plan on carrying him out then?]
Qingran raised an eyebrow. "Can’t I just shove him into space?" she answered with a dry chuckle.
The system’s voice came back, slightly exasperated. [Girl, think about what you just said.]
She sighed, then muttered, "Alright, I’ll just have to lure him outside, explain the plan. If he refuses...well, then I knock him out."
[Fair enough.]
Now that she was getting close to Tzang corporation, she wondering if Haoyu had met Meng Nian already.
"I’m sure he’ll be fine.."
She had an issue of her own to worry about. She parked the car at the underground parking lot.
[Be sure to sweet talk him. That’s all I can say.]
"..."
She smiled and walked into the lobby, today she was wearing a high waisted jeans, boots, a white shirt.
"Good morning. How many I help you?"
"I’d like to see CEO Tzang, please give him a call and tell him Gu Qingran is here to see him."
The receptionist nodded and placed a call to the customer office.
"Yes?"
"President Tzang. Miss Gu Qingran is here to see you.."
"..."
"Let her come up."
She had found out the truth about them in the dna test, they were indeed siblings. She sent it to Yichen through email but he never replied.
The receptionist ended the call and turned to Qingran.
"Please head to the 11th floor Miss, the boss will attend to you there.."
Qingran nodded, thanked the lady and headed to the elevator.
Ding!
She took a sharp breath in when she stepped out, preparing herself to face him.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
She knocked on the door softly as she heard him say.
"I already know it’s you. Come in.."
She opened the door and stepped him, Yichen leaned on the chair, staring at her intently.
"Hello."
He gave her a glance and pointed at the chair opposite it.
"Sit down and tell me what you want. Just because we’re siblings now, doesn’t mean you can come here as you please.."
"..."
"You don’t have to worry about that, I only came here because I needed something from you.."
"..."
"What is it?"
"I want you to follow me to Guyoung..."
"..."
"Guyoung? Today? Right now?" Yichen gave her a frustrated look as he glanced at the piles of paper work on his desk.
"Yes." She replied.
"No. As you can see I have work to do."
Qingran’s smile never wavered.
"I’m afraid this can’t wait, Yichen. It’s a matter of life and death."
Tzang Yichen raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. "Go on and you should add older brother to that."
"...."
Very well...
Qingran leaned forward, her eyes locked on his. "There’s something going on, and I need your help to get out of the city safely. We have to leave now."
Yichen’s expression turned skeptical. "What makes you think I’d drop everything for you?"
Qingran’s gaze didn’t falter. "Because we’re siblings, and because I know something about you that could ruin your reputation."
This was obviously a lie but she needed to make him believe it was true.
Yichen’s eyes narrowed, a hint of curiosity flickering in their depths. "What are you talking about?"
Qingran stood up, her movements fluid. "Let’s discuss this in private. Outside. We can talk more freely there."
Yichen’s eyes followed her, his expression unreadable.
For a moment, Qingran wondered if she’d misjudged him entirely, so far it hadn’t been hard to coax him into following her.
Then, with a curt nod, he stood up, his movements economical. "Fine. Let’s get this over with."
As they walked out of the office, Qingran felt a surge of relief. Step one, accomplished. Now, she just had to get him to Guyoung without any more complications.
The elevator doors closed behind them, and Qingran’s heart began to beat a little faster. She glanced at Yichen, who was watching her with an unreadable expression.
What was he thinking? Was he going to cooperate, or would she have to knock him out after all?
The tension between them was palpable as they rode the elevator in silence. Qingran’s mind was racing with possibilities, her senses on high alert.
She knew that the next few minutes would determine whether he stepped into Guyoung, a conscious or an unconscious one.
As they got to the car, Qingran asked him to enter.
He looked around the car, before asking her what was the thing she wanted to tell him.
"Alright, what is it?"
"...."
"It’s..." she started the engine, as the car rolled out of the parking lot.
"..."
Yichen sighed he had fallen into Qingran’s trap, he hissed loudly before leaning against the chair.
"I should have known better.."
"..."
Yichen stared at her, his jaw tightening. "What’s going on?"
"I wasn’t lying about the danger." Her voice was quiet "There’s something coming. Something big. The city will fall soon."
Yichen blinked, looking at her incredulously. "Fall? What the hell are you talking about?"
"You’ll see" she murmured, tightening her grip on the wheel.
For a long moment, silence filled the car.
Yichen’s voice was lower this time. "And you couldn’t just tell me that in the office?"
"No. Too many ears."
He narrowed his eyes. "You still think I’d believe this nonsense without proof?"
"I didn’t ask you to believe me. I asked you to come."
"And you didn’t give me a choice." ƒreewebɳovel.com
Qingran didn’t respond to that. There was nothing more to say. She’d done what she had to do.
The car sped down the freeway, the silence now heavier, stretched taut between them.
"...You dragged me out here with some cryptic end-of-the-world speech, Qingran. You’re really testing the whole sibling bond thing."
She gave a small, humorless smile. "You’ll thank me later."
"I doubt it."
She didn’t reply. The apocalypse was inevitable after all, when they got to Guyoung..they’ll see the hell there.
