Reawakening: SSS-Rank Villain's POV-Chapter 83: Revenge II!
The Green Dragon Guild Hall stood imposing and arrogant, a three-story building constructed from dark green stone, carved with intricate dragon motifs. Banners bearing the guild's emblem – a coiled green dragon breathing golden fire – fluttered from the ramparts. Two guards, clad in matching green armor that looked Uncommon grade, stood flanking the heavy, dragon-carved double doors. They looked bored, leaning on their spears. Lucian could sense their energy – around Level 45 Rankers. Weak.
He approached silently, the Umbra Cloak rendering him a mere ripple in the shadows. He stopped across the street, observing for a moment. The street wasn't deserted; a few figures hurried past, paying the guild hall no mind.
No need for subtlety now. He deactivated the cloak's Shadow Blend, stepping out of the darkness, his presence suddenly palpable.
The guards straightened instantly, alerted. Their eyes widened as they saw him approach, recognizing the figure described by Urus earlier, the one their Guild Leader had personally gone to meet.
"Halt! State your business!" the left guard commanded, leveling his spear, though his hand trembled slightly. He could feel the pressure rolling off Lucian, an aura far exceeding his level 16 status.
Lucian didn't stop walking. His pace remained unhurried, boots clicking softly on the stone street.
"Identify yourself!" the right guard shouted, taking a half-step back, his partner mirroring the movement.
Lucian reached the doors. He looked at the guards, his eyes devoid of warmth. "I'm here to collect a debt."
"A debt? This is the Green Dragon Guild! No one owes—"
Lucian moved.
It wasn't Crimson Shadow Step, not yet. Just raw, enhanced speed amplified by his stats and gear. He became a blur.
"Whu—?"
Crack.
Lucian's hand shot out, grabbing the left guard's spear shaft. With a sharp twist, he snapped the thick wood like a twig. Before the guard could react to the loss of his weapon, Lucian's other fist slammed into his chest.
"BANG!"

The impact sounded like a hammer hitting concrete. The guard's Uncommon-grade breastplate crumpled inward as if made of tin foil. Ribs shattered, organs ruptured. The guard was launched backward, slamming into the heavy guild door with enough force to crack the wood before slumping to the ground, lifeless.

The second guard stared in horror, momentarily paralyzed by the instantaneous violence. He fumbled, trying to activate a skill or an alarm talisman.
Too slow.
Lucian spun, Dragon Soul Devourer appearing in his hand in a flash of crimson light. The spear became a blur, faster than the eye could follow.
"Puchi!"
The spear tip pierced the guard's throat cleanly, silencing his half-formed shout. Lucian ripped the spear free as the guard collapsed, blood pooling around him.

Lucian stood before the massive doors, flanked by two fresh corpses. He looked at the sturdy, dragon-carved wood, slightly cracked from the first guard's impact. He raised his foot.
"BOOM!"
He kicked. Not with a skill, just pure, augmented strength.
The heavy double doors exploded inward off their hinges, splintering into a thousand pieces, flying into the guild hall like wooden shrapnel.
Lucian stepped through the ruined entrance into the Green Dragon Guild Hall.
The main hall was large, the ceiling high. Training dummies stood in one corner, some showing signs of recent use. Weapon racks lined one wall. A large, circular emblem of the Green Dragon was inlaid into the center of the stone floor. Several guild members – maybe a dozen – were scattered around, some lounging on benches, others examining gear, a couple sparring lightly.
All activity ceased instantly. Every head snapped towards the entrance, eyes wide with shock and disbelief at the sight of the destroyed doors and the lone figure standing amidst the debris, spear dripping blood.
Panic erupted.
"Intruder!"
"The doors!"
"It's him! The guy Urus warned about!"
"Sound the alarm!"
Someone scrambled towards a large gong hanging near a side corridor. Others drew weapons, shouts echoing in the large space.
Lucian's expression remained cold. "Urus. Darius. Come out and face me." His voice wasn't loud, but it cut through the rising panic, carrying an undeniable weight of menace.
From a corridor leading deeper into the guild hall, a figure stumbled out, his face pale, eyes wide with terror. It was Urus. He had clearly heard the commotion. When his eyes landed on Lucian, standing amidst the wreckage of the front doors, his face contorted with a mixture of fear and rage.
"You! You actually dared to come here?!" Urus shrieked, pointing a trembling finger. He seemed emboldened slightly by being inside his own guild hall, surrounded by members. "Men! Kill him! Kill him now! My brother will reward you handsomely!"
Several guild members hesitated, clearly sensing the danger radiating from Lucian, but others, spurred by Urus's promise or guild loyalty, charged forward, weapons raised. A mage in the back began chanting, gathering mana.

Lucian ignored the charging grunts. His eyes were locked on Urus.
He activated Crimson Shadow Step.
"BOOM!"
He vanished in a blood-red blur, leaving the charging guild members swinging at empty air. The air cracked where he'd stood.
Urus's eyes widened in terror as Lucian materialized directly in front of him, faster than his senses could track.
"Wha—"
Lucian's hand shot out, grabbing Urus by the throat, lifting the larger man clean off his feet, cutting off his strangled gasp. Urus's feet dangled uselessly, kicking feebly.

"Idiot," Lucian growled, his voice low and dangerous. "Did you really think sending assassins would solve your problems?"
Urus's eyes bulged, terror replacing rage. He clawed uselessly at Lucian's iron grip. "N-No... Assassin...? I don't know what you're talking about...!"
"Liar." Lucian squeezed. The sound of cracking cartilage was sickeningly loud in the suddenly silent hall. Urus gagged, face turning purple.
The guild members who had charged forward skidded to a halt, watching in horror. The mage stopped chanting, mana dissipating.
"Let him go!" someone shouted weakly from the back.
Lucian ignored them. He looked into Urus's terrified eyes. "I let you go once, but you chose this path."
He didn't grant him a quick death. He simply tightened his grip, slowly, deliberately. Urus's struggles weakened, his eyes pleading, then rolling back in their sockets. The light faded from them. A final, wet gurgle escaped his lips.
"Snap!"
Lucian crushed Urus's windpipe and neck completely. He let the lifeless body drop to the floor with a dull thud.

"Tch! So poor!"

Lucian glanced at the ring. Useless. He kicked Urus's corpse aside.
He turned his cold gaze towards the stunned guild members. "Now... where is Darius?"
Silence. Fear thicker than fog filled the entire hall. No one moved. No one even dared to speak.
Then, from the main staircase leading to the upper floors, a figure descended. It was Darius. His face was a mask of cold fury, his eyes burning with hatred as he looked at Lucian, then at his brother's crumpled corpse. He was dressed not in his earlier suit, but in sleek, dark green battle armor that shimmered with Epic-grade energy. A finely crafted longsword, pulsating with mana, was gripped tightly in his hand.
[Name: Darius, Green Dragon Guild Leader]
[Level: 51]
[Type: Swordsman / Commander]
[Gear: Full Set Epic Dragon Scale Armor, Epic Mana Blade 'Veridian Fang']
Slightly stronger than his brother, but still insignificant.
"You... killed him," Darius stated, his voice dangerously low, trembling with rage.
"He conspired to assassinate me," Lucian replied calmly, wiping non-existent dust from his spear. "He paid the price."
"Assassinate you?" Darius scoffed, though a flicker of unease crossed his eyes. Had the assassins failed already? How? "Preposterous! You barge into my guild, murder my guards, murder my brother, and claim self-defense?"
"It wasn't self-defense," Lucian corrected him, a predatory smile touching his lips. "It was revenge. And now, it's your turn."
Darius's face contorted. "You think you can kill me? Here? In my own guild hall?" He raised his sword, Veridian Fang humming with power. "Men! Attack! Rush him!"
This time, spurred by their leader's presence and fury, the remaining guild members surged forward. Mages launched fireballs and ice shards, archers nocked arrows, warriors charged with axes and swords.
"Fools," Lucian muttered. He didn't even look at them. His focus was entirely on Darius.
He raised his hand, channeling mana. "Levi. Baltzer. Alphas."
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
Crimson light exploded around him. The towering form of Levi, clad in his mix of Legendary and Epic gear, materialized, shield raised, axe ready. Baltzer appeared, wreathed in faint flames, Phoenix Blade gleaming. And the eight imposing Infernal Mastiff Alphas solidified, their combined presence casting waves of heat and intimidation.
The charging guild members faltered again, staring in shock and horror at the sudden appearance of Lucian's monstrous summons.
"Hold them off," Lucian commanded his shadows, then his eyes locked back onto Darius. "You and I have unfinished business."
