Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 92: Totally Small Upgrades, And Fourth Monument
Rael didn't believe in jinxing himself.
He really didn't.
And of course, his words didn't come back to bite him in the ass this time.
Rael crossed the bridge and slowly made his way up the side of the mountain before finally arriving back where he started.
To the south was the abandoned lighthouse, and to the north was the monument as well as Karnyx.
Therefore, Rael swiftly made his way there while putting the car on autopilot.
Meanwhile, he turned toward Seryn, who had been muttering some gibberish he couldn't understand.
"Man, if you're hungry, just say so. I'll get you some food."
"It's not that." Seryn shook his head. "I'm trying to mimic the mouth movements of whoever was controlling my body."
Rael raised a brow in interest. "Oh, so you know you were being controlled?"
"After I had a good look, I found some irregularities in my mind," Seryn replied. "I've lost consciousness four times now, and each time, there was a gap in my memory. This time, it only confirmed my earlier suspicions."
"I see..." Rael nodded with a sigh. "It must suck, though, I hope you get through it."
"Me too... I've felt my Dantian stir much more violently than before, almost as if my fiancée was in danger... I need to go back... I need to help her," Seryn muttered.
Yeah... I'm really not sure if his fiancée is legit or not now. He hasn't even mentioned her name once, Rael thought, leaning back in his seat and deciding to check one thing in particular.
Resonant Duelist: [Level 40 | 1500/25,298] (Legendary)

2. Crescendo: Every third True Note creates an Echo Hit that strikes 0.5s later for 40% of the original damage. Critical True Notes cause Echo Hits to slow the target by 25% for 3 seconds. (Doesn't stack)

<Note 2: Every 20 levels, you will unlock a skill option!>
It was pretty strong, and even Symphony had grown stronger, so now, it actually became viable.
And of course, there was one more matter at hand—the one which had increased his damage significantly.
—Basic Flameforged Arts (Uncommon) [Level 23 → 100 | MAX]
Increases attack accuracy by 69% → 223% and damage by 118% → 426% for all weapons. If the weapon is infused with the Fire element, damage increases by 354% → 1278% instead.
<Upgrade to Rare Rank Available!>
<Cost: 1,000,000 Trell>
Rael didn't even bat an eye and purchased it.
However, to his surprise, another pop-up appeared.
<Would you like to retain the level? Cost: 5,000,000 Trell>
<Note: If the user chooses this option, the skill's level cap would increase to 200>
Wait... so I'd be getting a maxed-out skill with the potential to have it even more broken? Fuck it... why not. Rael thought, and swiftly accepted.
Just a few seconds later, it reappeared, and of course, its upgrades were definitely worth it.
Intermediate Flameforged Arts (Rare) [Level 100 | 0/100,000 XP]
1. Increases attack accuracy by 332% and weapon damage by 644%.
2. When using Fire-element weapons or abilities, the damage bonus increases to 3,220%.
3. Critical hits with Fire-infused attacks apply a burn that deals 5% of the attack's damage per second for 5 seconds. Refreshes with each Critical Hit.
<Upgrade to Epic Rank will become available upon reaching Level 200 on this skill.>

Well, I'll be fucking damned, Rael whistled.
After a few quick calculations, he estimated that with a True Note, his potential damage could exceed 100 million.
That's definitely a step up, and if I combine that with my other skills and several elements... yeah... Rael leaned back even further.
I'm definitely fucking overpowered.
However, in the midst of his internal gloating, he saw Sweepus Prime's hand reach over to the steering wheel before suddenly turning it.
The moment it did, Rael's eyes widened.
He had already arrived at the monument below Karnyx, and Sweepus Prime had turned the wheel away from the horde of monsters.
—Blood Sucker (x89) [Level 157] [2,464,900/2,464,900 HP]
—Night Pounder (x32) [Level 208] [4,326,400/4,326,400 HP]
The Blood Suckers seemed to be giant mosquitoes, and the Night Pounders were literally some chest-like monsters resembling mimics.
Each time a Night Pounder opened its mouth, a loud creak resounded, and since there were so many of them, it was a bit annoying.
I fucking hate mosquitoes... Rael sighed, storing Sweepus Prime and signaling for Seryn to get out.
Then, he put the car into his inventory and stretched his back.
"Karnyx is around five kilometers away or so, we'll go there right after this is done," Rael said, earning a nod from Seryn.
"Let me fight some of them too this time," Seryn insisted, his expression determined.
As much as I want to be a dick and hog all the stats, the guy is literally going through a midlife crisis, so I'll spare him a few... Rael thought, nodding.
"Take 20 of those ugly mosquitoes, leave the rest to me."
"Of course," Seryn grinned, and in the very next moment, vanished, leaving behind only a single trace of lightning before reappearing right beside a pack of Blood Suckers.
And to Rael's surprise, Seryn sent out a momentum-filled wave of lightning using his fist, obliterating a line of Blood Suckers in an instant.
"My bad..." Seryn scratched his head innocently. "I got 40 of them by accident."
"..." Rael merely stared at Seryn in silence before stepping up and whipping out his Violin Blade.
By now, the monsters were on high alert, but Rael didn't care as he took a deep breath and thought of something a little different than before.
He had always imagined a flame that was hot, but what if he added properties to it?
The percentage HP damage was one such application, but he didn't need that for such weak monsters.
Therefore...
Ugly fucks, why don't I just purify you?
