Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 85: A Little Bit Richer, And Setting Out For The Monument
<Choose a name for your custom dungeon!>
Hm... A name, huh? Rael pondered for a moment before writing down something random.
<Name Confirmed!>
<Custom Dungeon: Tax Evasion Cave>
Uncommon Ores - 1,200,000 Trell Daily
- Low Quality Stardust Mithril (Uncommon) [Level 200] (x10) [+]
Ahh... damn, it feels good to be rich. Rael let out a relieved breath as he proceeded to tap on the Premium Dungeon menu again.
<Do you wish to leave the Custom Dungeon: Tax Evasion Cave? Yes/No>
"Yep," he hummed, and with that, he was back in the smithy again—just with much more earning potential than before.
In 8 days I can buy an evolution, but I have to wrap everything up by then. There are only 9 days left until the beta ends, Rael thought, passing by the blacksmith and going outside.
Basically, in 9 days, he had to figure his shit out and light the remaining 9 bonfires.
Therefore, he didn't waste any time and merely walked around, trying to narrow down where Seryn could be.
And after roughly 15 minutes of searching, he found him.
He was in some metal courtyard, sparring against Genzo—and losing pretty badly.
"Oi!" Rael called out, getting their attention. "As much as I'd love to stay here, we have to get a move on."
"So soon?" Genzo asked, kicking Seryn away and sheathing his katana. "Enjoy the scenery, kid. We're already in hell, so no matter where you go, you'll face the same dreary atmosphere."
"Sorry, but believe it or not, I'm on a bit of a tight timer," Rael shrugged. "Though I could give you an offer that you might like—but of course, I'd like money in exchange."
"Money is no issue. I'm pretty wealthy." Genzo chuckled. "But what could you possibly offer me? I'm pretty positive I've covered all bases."
A grin appeared on Rael's face. "I wouldn't be so sure."

It was a gamble, as for all he knew, Genzo wouldn't care much about this since he enjoyed his good old rotten monster meat.
However...
—Lunaspike Fruit Seeds [5] (Rare)
Sprout a batch of 5 Lunaspikes, which grow under the dazzling red moon of The Depths. Safe for consumption. Water is not needed for growth.
The five silver seeds soon appeared in his palm, and he handed one over to the puzzled Genzo.
"Inspect it. I'm sure we can come to a wonderful arrangement," Rael said confidently before turning to Seryn.
"Yo, you look like shit. Stand up."
"I am fine. I just stumbled a moment ago," Seryn replied nonchalantly as he stood up and dusted himself off. "You mentioned we are traveling, yes?"
"Yep, I'll explain more on the way, but I first have to finish my business here," Rael said flatly.
However, in the midst of his explanation, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
And the moment he turned around, he saw Genzo staring at him, his arm trembling.
"H-How much?" he asked.
"How much do you value your health and taste buds?" Rael asked, narrowing his eyes. "Before you answer, I want you to really consider this. I'm not going to take a low-ball offer, so I'm only giving you one chance at this deal."
"Fine, then—"
"Take a minute to decide," Rael cut him off, glancing into Genzo's eyes with a faint smile. "Irrational decisions lead to unfortunate outcomes."
"Hmm..." Seryn hummed from behind, getting Rael's attention.
"What?"
Seryn shook his head. "It is nothing. You just remind me of a peddler I had slapped into the palace's floor. He had tried robbing me—unsuccessfully, of course."
"Must've been a fun time," Rael snickered and waited patiently.
Finally, the one minute was up, and after taking a deep breath, Genzo approached and stretched out his hand.
Rael calmly accepted, and soon the offer appeared.
<Payment Received: 20,000,000 Trell. Accept? Yes/No>
4 million Trell per seed, that's more than I was expecting. I guess he's an important figure, just as I expected, Rael thought, maintaining his poker face as he accepted the deal.
<Confirmed.>

"It's a pleasure doing business with you," Rael said warmly. "Grow them well, and I suggest you don't lose them, as I highly doubt there are that many more left in this land."
"I appreciate this more than you know, thank you," Genzo stated with a smile. "May I know your name?"
"It's Rael. Though I'd appreciate it if you don't advertise my name around—just say you got this from elsewhere," Rael replied before turning around. "Anyways, I'm going to head out now. May we meet again some other time."
"Of course. If you ever come to the Frostpire Bastion again, you will be welcomed with open arms," Genzo said as he, too, began making his way elsewhere.
However, before he could walk too far, Rael couldn't help but ask one question.
"What do you do when The Beast awakens? With everything going on in this bastion, the amount of sound escaping is more than enough for it to home in on you."
"We have a sound barrier surrounding this city. Whenever the pop-up appears, the barrier activates, and all sound is trapped inside. It works like a charm, as we haven't had a single incident in years," Genzo replied with a chuckle. "I'm sorry, but I have to hand off the seeds to a potential gardener."
With that, Genzo left in a sprint, leaving Rael and the bored Seryn behind.
"I see..." Rael muttered. I guess it makes sense that after however many years have passed, they managed to counter it somehow.
But it raised a question.
Whenever a bonfire was lit, according to the system, it was supposed to hold up until the remaining bonfires were lit as well.
So how were they put out in the past?
Too many questions... so few answers, Rael grumbled and, alongside Seryn, made his way to the northern part of the city, where another giant gate awaited them.
But without even having to ask, it was opened for them, and soon, they walked out.
It was an interesting place. Though I can't say I fit in, I don't have to put my blood, sweat, and tears into crafting—only MP, Rael thought with a chuckle before summoning the car and getting in.
Seryn did the same as he immediately fell asleep on the comfortable back seat.
Bruh... Rael sighed and focused on the road.
After all...
It was finally time to head toward the second monument.
