Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 78: Seryn, And Wailing Monster
"Your home?" Rael tilted his head. "No offense, man, but you live like shit. I'm cleaning it up."
The hooded man's brows furrowed. "You're intruding upon my property, so if you don't back off, I'll have you removed."
What is with that noble talk? Rael chuckled as he tried inspecting the man just in case.
However, he wasn't able to, which likely meant that he was human.
"I'll go in a bit, I just need to get some rest. I had an annoying half hour just now," Rael muttered with a chuckle. "You wouldn't turn away a guest, would you?"
"Cease this foolishness. Take your floating gadget and leave," the hooded man said as he approached Rael. "Or should I make you leave?"
"Well, I'll just camp out. I'm surprised you're hogging the lighthouse all to yourself, though," Rael remarked as he went inside, grabbed Sweepus Prime, and walked out.
Rael didn't say a word as he passed by the hooded man and placed Sweepus Prime on top of the Hover Bike.
But just as he was about to start it, he noticed something.
"Motherfucker, you pierced the pipe!" Rael yelled as he realized there was a pebble-sized hole in the part that made the bike levitate.
"I apologize. My curiosity was piqued upon seeing that gadget, so I might've accidentally tried inspecting it," the hooded man said with a shrug. "But fear not—you can fix it. The hole doesn't seem too big."
I don't like this guy at all. Rael took a deep breath and walked up to the hooded man before delivering an uppercut straight to the jaw.
-7,736! (Melee)
The hooded man flew back, landing beside the lighthouse's entrance as he brought his hand up to his mouth, wiping away the blood.
"I did what you did, just in a more straightforward manner. So, how does it feel?" Rael asked with a scoff. "We're even now. I'm out of here."
Just as he turned around and prepared to leave, he decided to try something out.
His Primordial Sight skill had the Foresight option, which let him see a second into the future.
So, Rael simply turned it on.
And thankfully he did—as in the very next moment, he saw a kick flying from above.
But of course, since Rael knew it was coming, he stepped to the side, dodging it.
"Oh? You dodged my Lightning and Thunder Qi Gathering Movement Technique?" the hooded man muttered, making Rael flinch.
Did he just cast a voodoo spell on me? What the fuck was that? Rael thought, disabling Foresight for the time being.
"Lightning and what...?" Rael was speechless, but the hooded man soon continued.
"It is my family's technique," the hooded man huffed as he suddenly took his hood off, revealing a muscular physique, with many scars etched around his abdomen.
"My name is Bastian Elowen Arcturus Seryn Thorne. That is my payment to you—a show of respect by giving you my name. Feel honored."
"Quite the variety you gave me there. Which one should I use though?" Rael asked, tilting his head. "So, Seryn, can I go now?"
"I would prefer you used my full name whenever we are conversing, but I shall let it slide," Seryn replied, turning to his lighthouse. "But I suppose I could offer you a drink."
"Pass. I'd rather just get going," Rael said with a sigh. "Nice to meet you though, see you around."
With that, Rael walked over to the Hover Bike and began pushing it.
But once again, before he could leave, Seryn interrupted him.
"Just a second. You seemed pretty strong when you hit me earlier. Would you be interested in helping me with something?" Seryn asked.
"Depends on what you want help with, I guess," Rael said plainly. "I don't want to do anything weird, by the way, so don't even go there."
"It is nothing of the sort." Seryn shook his head. "There is an enemy inside the lighthouse I cannot eliminate by myself. I was wondering if you could help me kill it."
An enemy he can't kill? Rael thought, furrowing his brows.
He wasn't sure how strong Seryn was, but based on what he could feel with his Primordial Sight skill, then he was pretty darn close to Rael.
And of course, there was the matter of Seryn not being affected by his Mental Decay option, which emits some fierce Primordial pressure to those who stare into his eyes.
What an anomaly. Rael sighed as he let go of the Hover Bike and walked up to Seryn.

"Show me what we're dealing with. If it's too much, then I'm backing out," Rael stated, and with a nod, Seryn led him inside the lighthouse before going up a flight of stairs.
It seemed like they were heading to the top-most floor.
Now, there was only a door in front of them.
Seryn pointed at his lips—a silent signal for Rael to shut up as he slowly pushed the door open.
And the moment he did, a glowing, specter-like monster greeted him.
"It's some wailing monster. It wails to make you dizzy and then it tries to possess your body," Seryn explained in a whisper.
Rael took that information to heart before inspecting the monster.
—Lurindrel, the Mourning Beacon (General Class Boss) [Level 173] [1,197,160,000/1,197,160,000]
Hmm... so the golden light I saw earlier wasn't the functioning lighthouse, but this thing. Rael thought, furrowing his brows.
The HP was definitely no joke, but...
Frostfire Tempest: [Level 71 → 88 | 67,324/82,551] (Epic)
—Unleash a storm, dealing 61,750–71,750 → 66,000–76,000 Frostfire Damage per second. Enemies inside the storm are slowed by 15% and take true burning damage equal to 1% of their total HP per second.
Storm Radius: 40 meters → 50 meters
Duration: 30 seconds → 35 seconds
Cost: 450,000 MP → 535,000 MP
35% HP in 35 seconds.
It seemed very doable since this skill was overpowered.
But there was one slight hiccup.
The monster could simply swat away this entire attack, and then Rael would be fucked since the overly noble guy behind him would run away.
However, the amount of experience here was simply too much to pass up, so he had to improvise.
Rael turned to the observing Seryn as a grin began creeping up on his face.
"On a scale from 1 to 10, how attached are you to this lighthouse?"
