Chapter 81: 81: Princess’s Outer Chamber

---

Kai bowed, bitterness flickering in his dark ant eyes. "You did all you could, Princess." Mia’s slender hand touched his antenna to confront him.

With that, the queen ant swept from the chamber, her star aura fading into the shadow. Kai and Mia were alone for a moment in that hushed, precious silence before he followed her back through the violet‑scented halls.

"Kai," princess Mia says, "Today you should stay in the core area. Tomorrow I will go back to the worker ant area. We can go back together."

A lantern burned gently in the Outer Chamber of the castle, where carved jade panels depicted the cycle of seasons in delicate relief. Plush cushions and low tables of silverwood made the room feel warm, an oasis of calm amid the palace’s endless duty.

Mia slipped through saying, "rest here. I will be back soon." Kai could reply further. An hour later, Feeling bored, he walked around. There wasn’t a single ant in the area. He found himself in a soft, lantern-lit space scented with rosewater. A low fountain whispered in one corner.

From behind a simple screen came the sound of water dripping on smooth stone. Kai stepped forward, heart pounding in curiosity.

Suddenly the screen rustled and Mia emerged. Her hair was damp, dark strands clinging to her slender neck and shoulders. A wash of steam still clung to her skin. She wore only a thin shift of pale silk, so fine it clung in places and floated free in others.

He called, "Princess Mia?" He can see through her silk clothes. This area is the bathhouse of Princess Mia.

Kai caught his breath. The lamp‑light made her jade‑hued body glow with soft radiance: the gentle swell of her breasts beneath the silk, the curve of her waist, the smooth slope of her hips. Every line was an invitation to dream... an erotic promise that set his ant rod throbbing fiercely.

ARHHHHHHH!

Mia’s hand flew to cover her chest. "Kai!" she gasped, cheeks flaring with color. "I... didn’t expect you to be a pervert." she forgot to hide her ant hole. This is the first time he saw something so pink. Kai’s ant rod lost control.

Kai’s voice caught in his mandibles. He doesn’t know what to do. So, he decided to talk with Mia to calm down his mind. "Princess... forgive me. I... I am not a pervert, I was bored alone, so I took a walk and lost my way..."

"Close your eyes, Don’t look at me." Princess Mia ordered.

Mia hurried to gather her robe from the stand. The silk slipped away, revealing the full curve of her shoulders and the gentle rise of her body. She wrapped it around herself with trembling fingers.

Kai took a step back, heart pounding. "You... you surprised me."

Mia’s red eyes softened as she smoothed the robe’s collar. She looked every inch the grieving princess turned scholar into a vulnerable woman. "I was in the baths... trying to clear my mind after today’s..." She broke off, eyes lowering. "After what I had to endure."

Kai closed the distance, voice gentle. "I am so sorry, Princess Mia. You spoke so well. You fought for the truth." Kai’s ant rod... was still as hard as iron.

Mia let out a shaky breath. "Truth is a blade I carry but cannot always wield. My mother... she will not bend. Even for the sake of her own daughter. She cares about rank more than anything."

Kai placed a comforting hand on her arm. "Princess, your courage shines like the sun. Do not doubt your strength."

Mia met his gaze, dark with unshed tears. "I tried to get justice for my people. And I failed."

Kai lifted her other hand. "You did all you could. And that is more than most would ever dare."

Mia’s gaze flickered away, then back to him. In the hush, her robe fell open just enough at one side, revealing the hint of jade‑smooth melons beneath. Kai’s ant rod throbbed uncontrollably. He stepped forward with trembling reverence.

Mia’s breath caught. "Kai..." She totally leaned on Kai’s body as a support. She was very emotional.

He brushed a gentle kiss along her hands. The silk parted further, and Mia’s heart thundered. She closed her eyes, abandoning all caution.

In that soft lamplight, they shared a tender moment, Kai tracing the curve of her body with reverent touches, Mia’s arms wrapping him close. He felt every soft tremor beneath his many-jointed legs as the thin shift clung to her curves.

Their bodies found each other in a gentle, urgent press. Everything else faded: the palace, the betrayal, the future challenges. Mia hugged Kai like a teddy bear. Kai also hugged her tightly to confront her. There was only the warmth of her skin, the silken scent of her hair, and the soft, beating pulse of her heart.

Kai’s ant mandibles brushed her full, Mia’s response was immediate, she slipped her hand behind him, drawing his tiny form closer. The thin silk slipped further until it pooled around her feet.

Kai’s sensory organs drank in the moment: the smooth jade of her skin, the gentle rise and fall of her chest, the soft warmth between her thighs.

Mia trembled as he knelt beside her, pressing his mandibles to her belly. She guided his head with shaking fingers, every nerve aflame.

In that hidden bath chamber, they surrendered to the unspoken longing between them, an erotic hug, yet tender union of worker ant and princess. Their passion bloomed softly, each touch a promise, each breath a silent vow.

When they finally paused, breathless and entwined, Kai rose and gathered his shifting thoughts. Mia leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder.

She whispered, "Thank you... for this... for being here. For comforting me. This is the first time I was so close to male." She is totally unaware that her robe has fallen. She was so emotional, because the queen said take responsibility for her actions. The worker ants died because of her. She got very lost, emotionally.
