Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 92 Where Do I Look Like an Old Fox?
Chapter 92 - 92 Where Do I Look Like an Old Fox?
"Is it good to rough up a delicate woman like this?!" Lily Turner looked down at the hand gripping her arm. Her delicate little arm couldn't withstand his strength, though he wasn't actually using much force. Her exaggerated performance was just to gain his sympathy.
Seeing Lily Turner's pitiful little look, Easton Holmes knew she was faking it, but he still loosened his grip, though his words showed no mercy, "With your small frame, do I even need to rough you up?" fгeewebnovёl.com
He looked her up and down, with a frame like hers, he could floor her in no time.
"Weren't you roughing me up just now?"
Lily glanced at the hand still gripping her arm, and then, defiantly, looked up at the owner of the hand. "If you don't need to rough me up, then please let me go."
That hand wouldn't let go, and she was constantly worried her arm might get hurt.
Easton Holmes stared at Lily Turner blankly, then tugged his lips into a smile, "You haven't explained what happened just now clearly. Once you do, I'll let you go."
He almost fell for her trick, but luckily, he noticed her intentions in time.
"Didn't I already explain to you just now? Didn't I make myself clear?" Lily thought the man in front of her was deliberately making things difficult. If he wasn't holding her, she would have definitely punched him in the head to help him clear it a bit.
Easton Holmes shook his head against his own will, "You said it so vaguely that I really don't get what you're talking about."
Just joking with him? Why didn't he believe it?
"Mr. Holmes! Let me explain to you again, please listen carefully." Did she say it vaguely? He was simply talking nonsense. Lily Turner was quite upset by Easton Holmes' accusations, but she didn't dwell on them. She didn't mind explaining it to him again, "I was just joking with you earlier. Don't take it to heart."
To prevent her arm from being hurt again, she avoided the term "old fox," and to make sure he understood clearly, she slowed her speaking pace.
"I've already taken it to heart." Easton paused and then continued, "Please explain to me, how do I look like an old fox?"
Fox or not, but old fox? Isn't that what they call crafty old people?
He didn't mind being called crafty, but did he really look like an old geezer?
"Your... your phone is ringing!"
Lily was about to argue with Easton Holmes, who was unwilling to let the matter go. Just as she opened her mouth, she heard his phone ring. She immediately held up the phone in front of him to distract his attention.
Easton Holmes didn't immediately take his phone from Lily's hand. He just glanced down and, even after looking, didn't reach for it.
Seeing that he didn't intend to take his phone, she furrowed her brows in confusion, "Aren't you going to take it?"
She sneaked a peek at the phone's screen; it was just a series of numbers without any note.
She figured it might be a stranger calling and didn't think much more about it. Seeing he didn't want to answer, she hung up the call for him.
