Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem-Chapter 791: Two Awesome Mothers
Chapter 791: Two Awesome Mothers
Lumi's lower lip puffed out in an exaggerated pout. "Hmph. You're always running off, never giving your poor mothers enough time to smother you with love…"
Miri followed with a glare, her soft hands cupping my cheeks. "You say pleasures will come after work, but what if your poor mothers wither and perish from neglect before then?"
They both leaned in with theatrical devastation.
"Do you want that, Quinnie? Do you want to be known across the stars as the boy who abandoned his sweet, loving, beautiful, soft mothers?" Lumi whimpered, clutching her chest like she'd just been mortally wounded.
I stared at the dramatic pair blankly, unimpressed. I started with Luminara, the more guilty of the two.
"Always running off, never giving my mothers enough of my time? Lumi, I didn't know you had such a talent for writing fiction. I'm honestly amazed. Instead of always running away, I always stayed with you two until the divinity in the air made it dangerous for me to remain. If I pass the trial and reach level 40, I should be able to stay for a whole month now."
At my words, the first elf, the Primordial Nurturer, flinched before looking away, studying my shirt with a downcast, guilty look. "S-sorry…" she whimpered.
"Miri." My voice sounded next.
"Y-yes?!"
"You can't 'wither away and perish' here. I couldn't even drink your blood for my Blood Mage unlock requirement of my Primordial Villain class because you regenerated too quickly. Furthermore, the three of us had just spent two whole weeks together in Lumi's home, living a simple but fulfilling family life. Chit-chatting, taking long baths in the serene pond, playing board games, you name it. I was gone for but 72 hours, and once I'm done with my duty, I'll be with you for the next whole month. I believe you can manage until I get back, you two are big girls now, after all."
"Ugh…!" the primordial human grunted, clutching at her head as if I'd just physically smacked her. How adorable. Both of my mothers were such cool existences. I was insanely lucky that they entered my life, brightening my days immensely.
However, despite my chiding, it seemed Miri hadn't accepted defeat just yet. "Y-you're right, Quinnie, but I'll never have enough!" she whined with her eyes shimmering. "We've missed our baby! Our little soul-blessing of the stars, our precious child-"
"Mothers," I said, cutting her off with a gentle but firm tone. "Please. I missed you too. More than I allow myself to display before you. But there are things I need to do now. I… I need to be sharp. If I let myself indulge now, I feel like I won't climb back out. My mind is ready for what must be done. If I spend weeks in your loving embrace, I might not be ready for what I must face next, especially if it'll be a traumatizing experience like the Iris simulation."
My words made them pause with surprise evident in their expressions. They stopped their adorable little hissy fits and focused on me with seriousness.
For a long moment, they said nothing.
Then Lumi reached out, brushing my hair gently behind my ear. "Hmph… Fine. We can see it in your eyes, our son. That steel. That fire. You're serious. Far be it from your loving mothers to stand in your path. We only want what's best for you."
Miri nodded in agreement with a small, proud smile tugging at her lips. "And if the best for your future is us stepping aside, then we're ready to do so. It makes us happy to see you this determined and serious. Even if it hurts our fragile hearts a little."
"But," Lumi cut in all of a sudden, narrowing her eyes into fiery slits, "you must not forget about us afterward. Once the trial is done, we expect a full month of uninterrupted time spent with our little baby boy. We will not be ignored. If you try to bring up some excuses about having to leave, such as missing your lovers, you'll never hear the end of it, young man!!"
Miri stroked my cheeks while her tender smile transformed into a wholly different one. She looked like terror incarnate as she ominously whispered the words, "Quinnie knows he can't do that… Isn't that right, Quinnie?"
I let out a slow breath, fighting back against a small grin that was threatening to emerge on my lips. Any man would've pissed himself if they were in my stead, but even my mother's threatening smile seemed utterly adorable to me. There was no way I would ever feel in danger when these two were the ones I had to deal with.
As such, I let a defeated sigh leave my lungs, "Fine, fine. I promise. After I finish this trial, I'll let you spoil me so much you'll get sick of me."
"Impossible," they decreed in unison with a voice that told me they were utterly serious.
The duo followed it up by kissing my cheeks in turn, then my forehead, and my nose, before finally, slowly, bracing their hearts to let me go. As such, I slowly descended with them in my arms, letting them plant their feet on the ground gently.
I could've dropped them off from the skies and they wouldn't have been injured one bit, but no one will catch me treating these two absolutely precious existences so dismissively. They only deserved the very best.
But now, it was time. The trial awaited.
I waved goodbye, which they returned by energetic waving of their own, accompanied by their teary, worried eyes. As I began to fly toward the large monument where the trial would start, I faintly heard Miri sigh, "Quinnie is becoming more and more like a real man…"
"That cool determination in his eyes surprised me as well! Our little boy can be so masculine at times!"
With a smile on my face, I landed in front of the monument and indicated I was ready to begin.
