Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System-Chapter 518: Malthar Bloodseer
⟪Your comprehension of Chaos Qi has improved slightly⟫
A second attack landed on Kent's body, pushing him back, but the message he had been wanting to see a second time appeared, making him smile again.
'Looks like my understanding of Chaos Qi grows as more attacks land on my body," Kent thought to himself as he took on another attack.
⟪Your comprehension of Chaos Qi has improved slightly⟫
That was when he decided to take on all the attacks. He made sure his vitals were protected but coating them with thick spiritual qi, and then, like an idiot, he started letting every last attack land on his body.
For the first few attacks, the five individuals didn't say anything and kept doing their best to kill him. However, after a few more hits, they paused and stared at Kent in shock when they realized he wasn't even getting hurt.
"Why did you guys stop? I was enjoying the tickle," Kent said, taunting the five to attack. He was getting stronger from getting attacked, so he wanted more.
Of course, this wasn't an option for the five, who became afraid of Kent instead of getting angry and continuing to attack.
All their attacks did nothing to him, and worse, it seemed their target wanted to sleep and let them bombard him.
That was not something normal to witness. It was clear to them that they were not going to kill him anytime soon.
Worst, they began to wonder what would become of them when Kent attacked them.
"Who are you?" one of the guards asked.
"Oh, now you want to know who I am? What if I were to say I am your father—would you believe me?" Kent said with a mocking smile.
"You—" The guard who asked the question pointed his sword at Kent. "State your name or prepare to die."
"I prefer death." Kent didn't even let him finish before giving his answer. His clothing was more durable than most armor, considering Vexthra personally made it, so it wasn't like they could break it.
The least they could do was hurt him using soul attacks, but thankfully, he was immune to those. And even if he wasn't, his soul cultivation was at the 11th Tier, so he wasn't afraid of them.
However, his neck and head were his only concerns. Thankfully, he had all the energy in the world to protect those. So, when the five guards attacked, he wasn't afraid of them hitting his vitals.
Basically, he had become so powerful that attacks from Peak Sovereigns who wielded both spiritual qi and Chaos qi couldn't penetrate his defenses.
"Let's keep him occupied until the chief arrives. I've already informed him," one of the guards said before they resumed attacking him.
Kent just let them bombard him with attacks for close to five minutes until the guards came to a stop again.
"What should we do?" one of them asked.
"If he is from the alliance of the two tribes, we cannot let him leave here alive."
"But our attacks aren't working, and the chief is also not here yet. What should we do?"
Unbeknownst to the five guards, the chief they were waiting for was standing 30 miles away, watching the battle with a calm expression on his face.
Behind him stood three individuals, all sitting at the peak of the Core Formation Stage. They were the three elders of the Bloodvein Tribe.
One was an old woman. She had deep red skin and long, dark hair. Naturally, because of her age, her features were slightly weathered.
The second elder was a hulking figure with features that screamed brute fighter. His muscular body was covered in chaotic tattoos, and his arms were thick and perfect for punching.
The last was also a man, with a slender figure—his form perfect for a swordsman. He carried a sword sheathed in black leather, a clear sign of his commitment to the sword path.
The tribe's Chief stood 7 feet tall and had a muscular body, graceful like that of a warrior wielding an axe in battle. All four were of an age that showed they had been around for a long time.
The experience and strength in their gaze said it all...they are powerful beings.
"What do you three think?" he asked.
"I think he's looking down on our guards. Just look at how smug he looks," the brute answered, revealing his blunt personality.
"I think so too," the old lady seconded.
"I think he didn't want to kill them. And while he looks smug, I don't think he's mocking them—I believe it's just a taunt to keep them attacking him.
This can only mean one thing…"
"He is a body cultivator, and their attacks are tempering his body," the Tribe Chief said, looking in Kent's direction.
"Then what should we do?" the old lady asked. "If he isn't here to kill our people, then what is he here for?"
"Why don't we find out? But be ready. While he poses no threat, we don't know his true objective yet, so we can only be prepared for anything."
The four vanished from where they stood.
Back at the border, Kent stood there, taking on the attacks from the five guards. After a while, he stopped feeling anything. Their attacks weren't doing anything to him anymore.
However, since he had been warned not to kill the Bloodveins, he could only stand there and let them bombard him with attacks that could easily kill a Core Formation expert.
"Enough."
Suddenly, a voice filled the battleground, halting the steps of the five guards. They turned around and bowed.
"Tribe Chief. Elders."
The Tribe Chief stared at them with all three of his eyes and then turned to Kent, who stood there dusting his clothes like four beings who could bring the Althea Kingdom to its knees weren't staring at him.
"I am Malthar Bloodseer, the Tribe Chief of the Bloodvein Tribe," the Tribe Chief introduced himself, then turned to the three elders.
"These are the three elders of the Bloodvein Tribe: Farra, Ureth, and Zarka. May we know who you are and what you are doing in our domain?" Tribe Chief Malthar asked after introducing the elders.
Kent looked at the four powerful beings and then smiled.
"I am Kent Madson, Envoy of the Mother of Killers, Shara."
The expressions of Malthar and the three elders changed when they heard what Kent said.
