"Kylian?"

Hearing a familiar voice behind this time, Kylian flinched when he turned around. The person was Stephan, standing at a measurable distance from him in that open yard. It seemed as if the bruises on his face and body had healed up to quite an extent due to that potent drug that the nurse had injected him yesterday, but the marks of those beatings from Zenith’s bully gang were still very prominent on him.

"Of course, that kind of potent drug works well on Alphas, so we recover faster." Stephan answered but his orbs narrowed at Kylian’s unsettled body language, as he tried to walk close to him, "But compared to me, you look quite pale and sick, Kyle. You are also shivering, did you catch a cold? What were you doing outside this early morning—"

But Stephan’s words trailed off when he reached a bit close to Kylian. Immediately he leaped a step away, covering his nose before he let out a confused grunt, "What’s with that scent around you, Kylian? Why do you smell...kind of sweet?"

"Wait a damn minute!" But before Kylian was about to sneak away from him, Stephan grabbed onto his arm, to stop him from leaving.

He fixated his cold eyes on him, and watching Kylian tuck his shirt to cover the skin below his collarbone, he asked, "After we parted ways yesterday, I had hoped you would be able to attend your first class peacefully here, but then I heard you got into some bigger argument again with Zenith. Still, I wondered if you would be at least resting in your room peacefully for the night, but it seems you didn’t go to your room at all!"

"No, I-I was in my room last night," stuttering and nervous, Kylian came up with a prompt excuse while trying to unleash his arm from his grasp. "I just came from my room now because I wanted to t-take a stroll outside—"

"Kylian, stop lying." This time Stephan’s gaze hardened on his face, making Kylian wince as he didn’t feel the courage to oppose him as he spoke. "You’re wearing the same clothes from yesterday, and to be honest, with your disheveled state, you look like a mess. You didn’t go to your room last night, I can bet on it. But you shouldn’t be roaming here using that kind of sweet cologne. You kind of smell like an omega, and that’s dangerous!"

Standing still as he heard him, Kylian felt a knot forming down his chest, making his insides contort in pain. Until now he had overexerted himself in all kinds of physical training and combat skills, just like an Alpha is supposed to be. "NO!" But this time a fervent shriek escaped from Kylian, as he was well aware going to the nurse’s office now would expose his deepest dark truth to everyone in the Academy, which might lead to the immediate termination of his academic career here.

Petrified by thinking of such a possibility, he tried to escape from Stephan’s hold as he spoke, "I am just feeling a bit unwell, but I will heal soon. It’s nothing, don’t worry..."

"Okay, but...where is your luggage?" Checking a glance around Kylian, Stephan had figured out that he was trying to sneak away from him as he urged, "Even your backpack is missing. Where did you keep them, huh? Wait...don’t tell me...did Zenith’s gang take away your luggage? Are you being harassed right now because you had helped me?"

Realizing that he had left all his luggage, including his mobile behind in Zenith’s room, Kylian exhaled a heavy sigh while he was lost in his thoughts.

’The situation has turned much more complicated than you think, Stephan. I am sorry, but I can never tell you that I have spent a night with that same bastard who was bullying you yesterday. However, watching him go silent from his question, Stephan was quick to realize something was going wrong with Kylian. He slowly let his arm go, before asking in a concerned voice, "Do you want to come with me to my room now?"
