POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 204: I Always Will Choose Him

Almost in the early crack of dawn, both Kylian and Zenith decided to set their journey back to the Academy, since spending the night outside at the mountain shrine wasn’t in their plan.

Kylian expressed his humble gratitude towards both the monks before leaving, especially the elder monk who had shown him a way by finding a Blue Puya flower and offering it to the Moon Goddesses to cast away the unfortunate luck hovering over their future.

But it seemed Zenith was still sulking at them for committing that lantern ritual before, which had created the argument on their first date day. However, after Kylian’s persuasion, he half-heartedly expressed his gratitude before they left the shrine.

It was a tedious journey back to the campus, but all the way Zenith guided him this time, making sure Kylian would feel safe and assured with him by holding hands tight together.

While it was still early morning, after covering a long trekking journey both of them reached the campus, but sneakily entered through the secret gate which only a few students in the Academy used for sneaking outside, especially the Alpha boys from the bully gang.

That secret entrance path was very narrow for sturdy-built boys like them, but hugging him tight, Zenith protected Kylian as much as he could from getting any scrapes against the rugged passage. And as usual, his overprotectiveness never failed to bewitch Kylian who quietly followed his lead.

After they had reached the yard, Zenith cautiously glanced ahead of them to make sure none of the boys had watched them arrive, otherwise, he was worried that it might make Kylian a bit fretful.

But before they were about to head towards the building of Kylian’s room, he heard footsteps marching at them from behind, with someone coughing aloud to clear their throat as well as serving it as an indication for them to turn around.

"So...you’re back now?"

The familiar deep manly voice which sounded a bit gruff winced both Zenith and Kylian, halting their secret march towards their respective dorms. Turning around, they saw it was Barnes, standing with a stiff composure with his big arms crossed over his chest as he glowered at them.

From his face, Barnes seemed quite agitated, which was a little odd especially the way he rolled his gaze towards Zenith. The overbearing silence after his grunt made Kylian feel a little anxious, as he had noticed most of the time Barnes always acted as an easy-going, relaxed guy, but now...he was seriously pissed.

"H-Hi, Mr. Barnes? H-How are you doing?"

Clumsily waving his hand at him, when Kylian tried to initiate a meek conversation, Barnes exhaled a long sigh before averting his gaze from Zenith to his nervous, innocent face, "Mr. Kylian, pardon me but this isn’t the time for initiating a normal conversation. I need to talk to Young Master in private...because it’s really urgent."

"Um...o-okay," getting silenced in such a cold way made Kylian realize something must have happened here while they were away on their first date, and it must’ve been serious enough to agitate such a calm guy like Mr. Barnes.

With a small nod, obediently accepting his condition, Kylian prepared to walk away towards his dorm building alone but before he could take a step ahead, he nervously fidgeted a little.

"Umm, Mr. Barnes, you can simply call me Kylian...don’t need to be so formal with me. And...I don’t know what has happened, but please don’t scold him very much. I...I was the one who suggested this getaway in the first place...and I was also the one who suggested we should spend the night outside. So...he wasn’t responsible for anything in the first place."

Even battling his anxious thoughts, the way Kylian sincerely tried to defend his Alpha startled both of the men, especially Zenith who couldn’t stop his widened endearing smile at Kylian.

Gently moving closer, Zenith patted his shoulder while trying to assure Kylian in a proud mumble, "Don’t fret, baby. You’re the only one who’ll have the right to scold and punish Zenith Agastya any way you please, but no one else...if they value their life after all. Also..." Leaning his head closer, Zenith curved a mischievous smug while whispering to him, "I don’t mind even if you even punish me in bed...I will be always up for it, babe."

"AHEM! I am still standing here and I hope, both of you still have the basic conscience to realize that..." With a loud cough, Barnes sounded a bit cranky from his grunt which turned Kylian flustered red from shyness.

He nudged Zenith with his elbow and scowled at him, trying to hide his flushed reaction, "You’re...always thinking of shameless stuff...pervert!"

"Haha..." Zenith had always relished the view of watching Kylian turn into a goofball of shyness from his bold teases, and this time as well, he continued watching him all the way from behind while he didn’t disappear from his sight. The wide smile on his lips immediately tainted the second Kylian was out of his sight, and making a solemn grimace, he confronted Barnes, "What do you want?"

"Young master...I believe I have called you countless times and even texted you a few times because of an emergency! But I can’t believe...you even left all of my messages on read?"

Sounding quite frustrated from his tone, Barnes vented at him aloud, making Zenith exhale a long sigh followed by a shrug, "I had clearly told you not to disturb me when I will be away with my baby...I wanted to devote every second and minute of my time to him, and only him alone!

"Thus, I had no spare time to waste on replying to your messages. But you should be grateful I am letting you get away with your attempt to disturb my peaceful date, only because I am trying to be a nicer Alpha for my babe."

’Hah...calm down, Barnes. You can’t punch this crazy punk...even though I want to beat the shit out of him. But I know, if I try that, Mr. Clark might really kill me...’

Trying to suppress his intrusive thoughts, Barnes made a contemplated expression before responding to him in a stiff low voice, "Young Master, the matter was urgent that’s why I had to contact you a few times. It’s about...Mr. Kylian’s mother."

Suddenly Zenith’s haughty attitude written all over his face was replaced quickly with an anxious grimace, as he hurriedly asked him, "Kyle’s Mom? What...What happened?"

"The boys deployed at the hospital also tried to reach you a few times, but as you were unavailable, they had to relay the information to me instead." Barnes sounded a bit anxious from his tone while carefully glancing around them to make sure Kylian wasn’t anywhere near them.

"Miss Marita had a panic attack today at the hospital, and most probably something had triggered her trauma inside the hospital which made her plead for an early discharge. As per the information I have received...she’s suffering from PTSD disorder.

"Even though she needed to be under medical observation, but as that kind of patient is very delicate...the hospital authority decided to grant her leave but she’ll still be needed to keep up with her medical checkups. That’s why when all the ruckus was happening at the hospital, the boys tried to reach you to ask for your opinion first, Young Master Zenith."

Even though Barnes sounded quite stiff from his tone, Zenith couldn’t suppress his bewilderment, as he was faced with a guilty-charge. Indeed Barnes was right, if something far more critical had happened to Marita today at the hospital when he wasn’t attending to their phone, would Zenith have been able to figure himself out ever again?

No...He couldn’t have...

Exhaling a big sigh, Zenith mumbled while making a solemn expression, "Well, my bad, I should’ve attended your call and...I apologize for that. But as long as she’s sincerely keeping up with her medications and checkups, I don’t think there would be any major concern. But you must make sure she’s being looked after properly without any mistake, Barnes."

"That wasn’t the only reason behind my calls or texts." However, hearing his response, Barnes’s expression turned a bit more surly than before when he grunted aloud, "Young master, I am being deployed to serve you here and look after every command you have for me. But how could you hide the fact from me that you’ve sold a percent of major shares in the company to appoint Dr. Jin for her?

"Are you...really being serious right now? Do you even imagine what kind of ruckus would have created if this news reached to President’s ears—"

"If I had to sell all of my company shares to get at least a bit of help to heal my Kyle’s mother, I would’ve always made this choice, Barnes." But intervening his words, Zenith sounded a bit intense from his grunt that depicted the depth of his feelings as he continued, "I am very well aware how much his mother means to him, he loves her way too much, and I love him.

"Even if I have to go to the end of the world to make him happy...I would still make the same choice, Barnes. So, don’t you dare try to put those concerns about what others would think of me. I don’t fuckin’ bother about anyone else...not even about Dolemort Agastya, the President of Lumina Pharmaceuticals. But I will always, eternally choose my Kylian over and over again."
