Chapter 130: Chapter 130: As If You’ve Met Her?

"Yeah, I know you must have a few screws loose in that big head of yours. Now it feels normal hearing this stuff from you."

Squeezing his right cheek tenderly with his other hand, Kylian responded in an amicable tone before he grabbed a first-aid box he had prepared. Sitting next to Zenith on the bed, Kylian took his arm which till had that deep cut on his palm, but the wound now looked a little clean after taking the shower.

Grabbing out the medicinal bottle Kylian had picked from the nurse’s office in the academy which had a magical healing effect on any kind of deep wounds, which he had witnessed using that nurse to treat Stephan’s wounds from the beating before.

Kylian soaked a cotton swab and started to disinfect his wound with a brief warning to Zenith before, "It might sting a little, so try to endure the pain now and don’t create a commotion."

"Well...if it hurts very much, you could give me a kiss every time to comfort me at least—"

"Shut up, or I might really press your cut now."

By now Kylian had formed a habit of getting flustered by Zenith’s comments since he was too shameless to show any kind of restraint, without considering any kind of situation. However, Kylian was too tactful in disinfecting his wound and made sure Zenith wouldn’t feel much hurt during the process.

After he had finished up with the initial process, he wrapped the bandage tightly on his palm, and all this time Zenith couldn’t stop staring softly at his solemn face fully focused on his wound. After Kylian finished tying up the bandage, he gently held his palm in between his both hands while asking Zenith intently, "Is the bandage very tight? Does your hand hurt more?"

"No, it is perfectly fine." Quite impressed by his skills of tending injuries, Zenith rolled his affectionate gaze at him while asking curiously, "Sweetie, you should’ve enrolled in a Medicine college. You’re just too good, like a professional."

"Don’t exaggerate." Kylian felt quite pleased by his compliment inside, but on the outside, he didn’t express much other than a snort, "It’s nothing much to be praised so much—"

"Of course it is! You might not be aware of how special are you...but for me...everything about you is absolutely surreal, Kyle." Holding onto Kylian’s hand, Zenith professed his heartfelt answer in a loud, ardent tone which made him a bit flustered. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

Though he was dubious of his compliment first, but now...watching the sincerity in his big onyx eyes gazing affectionately at him, Kylian opened up to him a little, "Mom used to get hurt a lot when she first started the restaurant. She has a small seafood restaurant in my hometown, and when she started as a complete amateur, it took her a very long time to learn about how to deal with sea creatures in the first place. In the process, every day she would have a new wound on her hand and despite trying her best to mask her pain beneath a fake smile, I could easily figure that she was lying to not make me worry."

While Kylian unexpectedly started talking about his life, Zenith was a little startled since he didn’t expect to be able to invade a wall which Kylian had built around his heart to make sure he wouldn’t show his weakness or vulnerability to anybody. While he was talking, his ocean eyes looked quite glum which made Zenith more keen to learn every little things about him.

"Mom and I had only each other left in the world. So, whenever she would have those fresh injuries in her hands everyday, I secretly used to watch her suck so bad while tending those wounds, since we didn’t have the money to afford frequent hospital visits. Watching her struggle made me desperate enough to learn how to tend injuries from a professional nurse back in my hometown.

"Since I was a small kid, she was kind enough to teach me for free, and when I finished learning it, from then I used to look after her wounds every day. Somehow, it became a habit that I mastered the techniques of emergency medical assistance. Even today..." Suddenly Kylain’s voice trailed off as he sounded a bit glum, lifting his gaze down from Zenith. His ocean eyes swirled a bit anxiously and watching him fall silent, Zenith eagerly asked, "What happened? Keep telling me...why did you stop?"

"Well..." Kylian exhaled a big sigh, while fiddling his fingertips on his own, looking uneasy from his body language. "Since she overexerted herself from a very young age, as a weak omega, Mom was susceptible to many diseases...and gradually she developed a weak heart. Her vitals weren’t also stable, but she must’ve pushed her so much to arrange the tuition fee for my Academy before I came here.

"Even today, she had a surgery in the morning, but despite how many times I called Granny Elma who’s the only person I could trust Mom there in the town, I couldn’t hear a single thing from her. Here, staying so far from her, I am feeling way too uneasy since morning. I want to hear how the surgery went and if her vitals were stable or not...but I can’t do a thing. I feel pathetic...and incompetent...as if I suddenly became unable to do anything for Mom. I should’ve excelled as her son...but I am turning out to be worthless instead—"

"You’re the most precious one for her."

But without realizing that Kylian’s eyes were shimmering in tears, before he could finish his dejected mumble, a cold tender palm from Zenith softly held him by side-face, making him lift his gaze up for a soothing eye-contact.

Gazing deep into his affectionate rolled dark eyes, Kylian felt as if a heavy burden of his heart was lifted when Zenith comforted him again, "Just like she’s the one you care the most in this world, similarly, she feels the exact same way for you too, Kyle. You’re definitely the most cherished one for her, and I can already guarantee on it."

"But..." Kylian’s voice shivered a little when he grabbed his palm holding him while asking in a fearful voice, "Now that I have transitioned into an omega too...am I still worthy as her son?"

Holding a soft genial smile across his lips, Zenith firmly asserted, "You’re worthy to me more than anybody else in this world. And I am sure, your mother will always love you no matter what you have become, Kyle. Don’t worry too much."

Feeling comforted by his gentle words, Kylian felt a bit relieved inside but a quick thought hit inside his mind, making him ask, "But...how do you sound so certain about my mother’s feelings? It seems as if...you have met her?"
