Pokemon - A real story-Chapter 810: Plans for the Future

Axel knew that the king was going to help him in some way. What he didn't expect was to be crowned as the first knight. This was a huge thing and he could not understand why the king was taking such a drastic measure.

Even though the king said that the royal family would be making their own league-like thing, Axel didn't know how that worked. Was he going to take his teams to different cities for the tide battles? And how will he get the resources and the money?

How would he deal with the league from now on? There were a lot of questions that he wanted to know, so after getting out of the stage and to his room, he sat for the celebration to end.

This was the day when the 3 starter families would get the resources from the king and also the league. This was a customary thing that was done but the resources that were given were substantial. All the division of the resources depended on the contribution made by the 3 starter families and of course, the Venu family had topped it yet again for 2 consecutive years.

This had only happened due to Axel.

"Hello."

"Hey, Axel. Kymar here. You must be totally confused about what had happened. Why don't you come to the palace and we will talk. Father says that he wants to talk to you too."

Axel went to the palace to see what this was all about. The palace was very big. It might be the most beautiful and biggest building that Axel had ever seen. Actually, it could not be called a building. It was a combination of multiple buildings.

Axel was properly escorted to the place where Kymar was sitting. If the guards had not helped him, then he would definitely have been lost.

Before Axel asked any question, Kymar gave him the book telling him how this would work.

First, 'Fairy Tail' would be given 6 months to be prepared. 6 months was not a lot of time cause Axel was planning to increase his team strength to 100k. That would take some time but he felt that if he selected well enough, there was not going to be any problem.

After 6 months, he will be getting offers on the tide battles and he would just have to select one of them and take his team to fight that tide battle.

The compensation for each tide battle was lesser than that of the league but Axel could understand. The royal family wanted to throw the league out, so they had to do something for the normal public to like them.

All this money would come from the public one way or the other and the king didn't want them to feel pressured.

Also, there was something called, 'Probono tide battles' where the compensation was even lower as the royal family would be donating most of the money for them.

Of course, there were some benefits like granting of novelty, land, powerful Pokemons, and other things but all of these were conditional. Axel didn't lack any of it, so he was not going to choose this.

Then came the partnership with the league soldiers and mercenaries. Kymar said that the talk had been going on and they didn't know how this would pan out, but the royal family wanted to have a co-operation with the league in these things.

"I am sorry but Father is very busy with all the things that have been going on, so he told me to answer any questions that you have for him.", said Kymar.

This was understandable as he was the king and he had done something that had not been done for a long time.

"Why are you guys challenging the league now? The king said that he would take it slow but now he is directly challenging the league. It might not turn out well 'cause the league has a lot of influence.", asked Axel.

"Sigh, Axel, you are correct. Father wanted to do this slowly but after hearing what the Pokemon master said to me, Father wants to speed this up. Mr. Oak said that we only have a decade left, so we need to power up too. The league is too corrupted to fight the future battles."

Axel also gave a long sigh after hearing it. It was true. Axel didn't know how honest Romeo, the leader of the league really was but Gerad was downright corrupted. He was only doing this for money, greed, and vengeance.

"What do you plan to do now?", asked Kymar.

I am planning to challenge another gym. It looks like my new Pokemons are ready for another battle but first I need to go home to meet with Aron.

He was thinking of challenging another gym now. It had been more than a year now but his progression in the gym battles was going at a slow rate. He knew that he had not given ample time to his new Pokemon because he was too busy.

It was time for him to give some time to them. But first, he had to do the recruitment of new members. Axel had come to realize that 50k members would not be enough for his team and he needed to add another 50k members.

"Actually, I also want to recruit new members to my team. I am planning to advertise it."

"That is a good thinking. Your fame has risen now and now it is a good time to recruit some members.", replied Kymar.

"Can you help me in doing the background checks on them?", asked Axel.

"Oh yes. Don't worry about it. I will make sure that you are in the right hands."

After saying that, he went to his own room. He was interested in the resource allocation of the Venu family but he didn't have time for it right now. He wanted to see if Venusaur, Alakazam, and Togetic had woken up cause when Xerneas and Celebi imparted their knowledge to them, they had fallen asleep and it had been 6 days since that had happened.

"They are still asleep but I feel that Venusaur and Light would wake up at any time.", reported Shedinja.

Shedinja was the one that was guarding all 3 of them and monitoring them.

"That is good. So, when are you going to go for training?", asked Axel.

"I plan to go there after all of them wake up. In fact, I don't want to go cause I feel that they are not ready to protect you. They are still weak right now.", sighed Shedinja.

Except for Charizard, Slowemperor, and Alakazam, others were not so strong enough to protect Axel in their time of need. At least that was what Shedinja felt.

"Don't worry, they have become plenty strong now. Meg, Magnus, Beedrill, Charles, and Light have become very strong now. You don't need to worry, and I will be safe. I will not be participating in tide battles right now.", said Axel.

The last time, when Shedinja was still with Axel, he had been kidnapped. So, Shedinja had become overprotective.

"You need to complete your training. You know that your growth rate would be very slow here. I also feel that you need multiple attacking methods now and a powerful one at that.

One that could affect a large area and another that could help you deal with a single target.

Shedinja had realized its shortcomings too. Since it was too focused on its survival before, it had not developed a good attacking move. So, it needed to focus on that now.

Slowly, Alakazam started to open its eyes. Axel and Shedinja went a bit closer to see if it was okay.

"So, what happened? Did you gain anything?", asked Axel.

"Yes. I was in a dream where I controlled psychic powers to do a lot of things. My mind was able to remember all of it but I would need a lot of time to reach that level.", said Alakazam.

"That is good. It is still progress."

"Axel, I could not say it before cause you were too busy, but I will be needing the corpses and the cores of wild Pokemons. They should not be higher than my rank but not lower than elemental rank."

"Why do you need that? And how many do you need?", asked Axel clearly confused about the request.

"I believe that if I want to have good control over other elements, I need to research their cores and their infinity energy. Regarding the numbers, as much as you can provide me.

There are 2 directions that I want to go in. The first is telekinesis and the second is space element. As of right now, I have a good understanding of space due to the dream and also of telekinesis but for a better grasp of it, I need to know more.

I also want to advance my 'Puppetry' to a higher level. So, I would need some dead bodies.", said Alakazam and there was not a hint of shame in its eyes.

"I will give you the dead bodies. Don't worry."

Axel had a lot of dead bodies and cores from the previous tide battles and he had gathered a lot of money, resources, and points from the last tide battles and almost all of them were not used. So, it could now be used for this.

After an hour, Venusaur also woke up, it also said that it was in a weird dream, and the information sort of drilled into its brain on how to advance.

"We have been wrong the whole time. For the entire time, I wanted to have a good grasp on grass-type energy to create a big forest but I was wrong. If I were to advance 'Voice of the forest' to a higher level, then I can do it by commanding them.", said Venusaur.

Both of them had got their new training plans and Axel was happy about them. Steelix and Gyarados had also performed very well in the tide battles and Steelix's girlfriends had also done a good job. Axel felt that he should have a talk with them too.

After 4 more days, as Axel was just looking at the new recruits, he got a telepathic message from Alakazam.

'Togetic is going to wake up. Come to the training ground.'

There were still in the palace right now and the recruitment was being done there only. It had taken Axel some time to get used to the palace but now he could navigate around the place with excellent accuracy.

When he reached the training ground, he could see that Togetic was glowing in purple light. He didn't know what was happening to it but it didn't look like a rank-up or evolution.

After waiting for around 4 minutes, the glow finally disappeared and finally, Togetic opened its eyes.

And when Axel looked into its eyes, he was shocked beyond belief.
