Chapter 121 - The Marine is the Overlord!

At the southern port of the Tannin Kingdom, a slave ship tried to sneak away, but something was terribly wrong. Giant black iron rods suddenly shot up, trapping it like a bug under glass.

Then, like hungry wolves, warships appeared on the horizon, closing in fast.

Hina stood proudly on the lead ship, her hand outstretched. Those massive, fifteen-meter-long iron bars? All her doing.

It's so bothersome , she thought, but she acted anyway. Even though the slave ship flaunted the symbol of Doflamingo, one of the fearsome Seven Warlords of the Sea, she couldn't ignore the injustice before her.

She could turn her body into iron defenses, yes, but she could also make iron and fling it wherever she wanted. Talk about handy!

The battle didn't last long.

Soon, all the slave ships were caught. Inside, crammed into tiny, dark spaces, were people stolen from their homes, including folks from other countries.

The slave traders, tied up and furious, yelled, "Damn Marines! Do you know who we are?"

But it was all talk. They were scared, you could see it in their eyes. "We work for Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords! You'll regret attacking us!" Most of their guards were already gone, so they were betting everything on Doflamingo's reputation to scare these Marines.

Roya scoffed, "Doflamingo? That's a joke. I am a Marine!"

Even the Seven Warlords, with their right to legally plunder, had to follow the World Government's rules.

The slave trade was a secret that had to stay hidden.

If Doflamingo admitted to running it, he'd lose his Warlord title faster than you could say "Marine Admiral," because one would be knocking on his door in Dressrosa the very next day.

Besides , Roya thought, I'm a Marine. We rule the seas!

Even if Doflamingo was cocky, he wouldn't openly attack the Marines unless he could bury the news so deep it would never be found.

Roya's real target was Vergo, and making Doflamingo an enemy was just a matter of time. The easiest way to make Vergo show his true, evil colors was to make the first move.

He doubted the Don Quixote Family would throw their entire army at him. He wasn't that important yet. More likely, Doflamingo would send an Executive to take him out quietly.

And that's exactly what I want.

"Take them all back," Roya ordered. "Barto, you question these lowlifes. But don't kill them; we need to bring them back to Headquarters."

"Lu Yun, report this to Headquarters. Make sure you mention the Don Quixote Family's possible involvement in the slave trade!"

Let Headquarters and Doflamingo fight it out.

"Understood!"

The warship turned towards the next island.

The Tannin Kingdom wasn't the only one begging for help; there was still so much to do.

For two straight weeks, the 11th Division's ships sailed back and forth, not just busting up slave rings but also catching pirates left and right.

The suffering of these small, unprotected countries shocked every Marine in the 11th Division. Even Hina, known for her sharp tongue, fell silent.

---

Meanwhile, in Dressrosa, at the Royal Palace...

Doflamingo's face was twisted with anger, veins popping out on his forehead. He was not happy.

It wasn't the loss of a few useless underlings that bothered him. What really set him off was the inquiry from Marine Headquarters!

Of course, he couldn't admit anything, even though everyone knew the truth. It was a dirty secret that couldn't see the light of day.

"Just a Colonel from Headquarters, and so arrogant!"

He pointed to the file on "Black Hair."

The Doflamingo Family had gathered information on him. From what they knew, Black Hair was a Marine Supernova unlike any other!

"Doffy, let me handle Black Hair!" Diamanti volunteered.

They had talked about Black Hair before, and now their worries were coming true. If they let him run wild, he'd keep causing trouble for the Family.

Those worthless subordinates couldn't possibly deal with a Marine Supernova.

Doflamingo nodded slowly. "Don't be careless, Diamanti. He's stronger than just a Colonel."

Based on their data, Black Hair was already stronger than a regular Marine Officer during his training days.

Now, after several months, he was probably as strong as a Commodore, maybe even stronger! Plus, some of his subordinates were pretty tough too!

Diamanti smirked. "Don't worry. I'll bring the Fighting Corps!"

"Then there shouldn't be any problems."

---

Back at the G-5 Branch, the 11th Division's warship docked.

"Yo, Black Hair!"

"Is Vice Admiral Vergo here?"

"He's out. Won't be back for a few days, probably."

"Alright."

Roya led his crew into the Fortress.

The Commodore in charge, confused by how comfortable Roya seemed, scratched his head and quickly followed, sensing something was up.

"Wait, isn't Black Hair from the G-1 Branch?"

Roya suddenly turned around. "Commodore, I'm planning to rest for a few days. Could you arrange some rooms for us?"

"No problem!"

The Commodore puffed out his chest, happy to help.

The G-5 Branch was always short-staffed and had plenty of empty rooms. He'd have a whole building cleared out for Black Hair and his crew right away.

"Black Hair, I heard you've been stirring up trouble lately?"

"Yep!"

Roya nodded with a smile. "Commodore, if you're interested, why don't you and your men join us on our next mission?"

"Really? You wouldn't believe it! You guys have been catching so many pirates that we're bored out of our minds! Nothing to do!"

The Commodore grinned.

Being stuck in the base all day was too boring. He and his men had been wanting to join Black Hair for some excitement for a long time.

---

That night, inside the training room...

Smoker strained, pushing a heavy weight, his muscles shaking. Nearby, Hina did weighted squats, sweat pouring down her face.

They weren't fools like Barto. They both sensed the danger. Roya's recent actions were unusual and probably meant something big was coming.

Plus , they had provoked one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!

Training every moment they could was the best way to prepare.

---

In Roya's room...

"The World!"

The World unfurled!

Roya stood before "Vergo," his eyes locked on him.

The World created its opponents based on the power they showed when fighting him. Just like the simulated Garp, who only used basic hand-to-hand combat.

That was why he kept challenging Vergo.

The more he fought him in real life, the more data The World gathered, and the closer the simulation became to the real Vergo.

"Come on!"

Roya stepped into the Duel Arena. "Vergo" immediately stared at him, his powerful presence almost identical to reality.

Roya raised his fists, his face determined.

If his previous training was a slow and steady climb, now he was walking on a tightrope over a pit of fire, with death waiting if he slipped.

Dangerous, yes, but it forced him to keep moving forward!

He felt like a pirate, facing an impossible enemy and desperately trying to unlock his hidden power.

Ace had already set sail, and the Summit War was only three years away. Just training wouldn't be enough to become a Marine Admiral in that time.

He had to push himself!

"Vergo!!!"
