Omega Summoner-Chapter 2384: Zombies in Kunlun I
The zombies with their hands clawing for the sky suddenly broke through the ground. All the guests of the inn that they are staying at were rattled as soon as they saw a horde of undead come out of the ground. The undead did not just come out in the area where Adrian and the others were staying at but all around the inn.
"Whoever attacked us is crazy! This is still part of Kunlun even if it is near the edge." Adrian exclaimed as he destroyed the heads of zombies with his spear.
The undead did not just attack Adrian and his group but also the people staying at the inn. Adrian did not care what happened to the others though as the eastern continent is very dangerous to any weak individual. The people staying at the inn were not that weak as some were literal Immortals. They easily destroyed the weaker zombies that tried to attack them.
"What are those?!" Kabrakan exclaimed as he saw zombies that had knives as fingers coming towards them.
"Head to the main street!" Adrian shouted as he took command.
About five zombies with knives as fingers attacked them all at once. These Knife Fingered Zombies moved differently compared to the others as they were more refined and lethal. The Knife Fingered Zombies also had incredible speed in executing attacks, but they were not physically strong. They were stronger than a normal zombie but not enough to overpower Adrian.
Adrian did not even wait for the Knife Fingered Zombies to get near them as he immediately entered combat with them. Adrian did not control his spear with his mind as he is acting like a guard that has mastery over spear arts. Adrian maneuvered his spear like a snake that lunges at its prey. The movement of his spear is fluid and cannot be read which made it easy to destroy one of the Knife Fingered Zombies immediately.
The Knife Fingered Zombies has talismans on their heads which is where the mana of the undead controller is being transferred. As soon as Adrian destroyed the talisman on one of the Knife Fingered Zombies, the enemy immediately withered to ashes. This feat is not easy because a normal attack will never be able to destroy the talismans.
Adrian has to precisely channel his mana to the tip of his spear and blast the talisman with pure mana laced with nether energy. The special power of nether energy made it easy for Adrian to destroy the talisman as it erases anything that upturns the laws of the dead. Since the talisman was easily destroyed by his nether energy, Adrian immediately knew that the necromancer that they are fighting do not have faith on the gods of death.
If the necromancer that they were battling had any faith on any of the gods of death, Adrian's nether energy would be able to erase a part of the talisman but not destroy it entirely. The remaining four Knife Fingered Zombies all charged towards Adrian and ran after him. It was at this time where Creepysoo contacted Adrian about something, but he told the latter that he was being chased by Knife Fingered Zombies.
The Knife Fingered Zombies made sure to go after Adrian first but there was still undead chasing after the rest of the group. Kabrakan can easily deal with them though as his huge body and shield could overpower weak undead. Normal zombies or undead could not overpower Kabrakan which is why Adrian focused on the unique undead like the Knife Fingered Zombies.
One of the Knife Fingered Zombies suddenly sped up and almost hit Adrian on his neck, but he was able to dodge by bending to the ground. Adrian looked like he had eyes at the back of his neck, but it was actually Sirius telling him the situation while hiding in his shadow. Sirius also helped in hidden ways like suddenly pinning down the shadows of the Knife Fingered Zombies for a split second.
Sirius pinned down the shadow of the Knife Fingered Zombies that almost hit Adrian. Since Sirius managed to root the enemy, Adrian just maneuvered his spear to hit the talisman slapped on the head of the Knife Fingered Zombie. Another Knife Fingered Zombies turned to dust when its talisman was destroyed. The other Knife Fingered Zombies did not move solo compared to before as they suddenly moved like they were in a unit.
The remaining three circled around Adrian and did not attack together like before. One Knife Fingered Zombie would charge towards Adrian in the front with its sharp claws. Adrian would be able to dodge this zombie, but another would charge at him from the back. Since Adrian could not use any teleportation skills, he gathered force beneath him and used it in a burst to jump high.
The third Knife Fingered Zombie would then jump to meet Adrian in the air with its sharp claws ready to tear him apart. The Knife Fingered Zombie would have killed Adrian because he has no foothold in the air, but he utilized force. He created a temporary foothold where he could step on air for a small second.
The Knife Fingered Zombie that would have killed him was unable to change positions in the air unlike Adrian. In the end, the third Knife Fingered Zombie turned to sand as Adrian managed to divert his spear towards the talisman keeping the undead alive. The remaining two did not last long as well because Sirius pinned their shadows to the ground.
Adrian then a spiral descent and destroyed their talismans while landing on the ground effortlessly. The onlookers were shocked to see the display done by Adrian as they thought that he was a master of qigong. The way he moved in the air without any platform and just used the air itself had made them think that he was a powerful Immortal.
"A Core Formation Stage Immortal! The Firefeather Clan is indeed filled with mystery and prestige! The fact that they use a Core Formation Stage as mere guards must mean the elders of their clan are at least Nascent Soul." One of the onlookers stated as another one wrote what he said as a report.
In the eastern continent, they have different Persona levels for humans. They all call humans that managed to gather qi and refine it as cultivators. If a human manages to ascend via the manipulation of qi, then they will be already classified as Immortals. Immortals are divided into six stages which are the Foundation Establishment, Qi Condensation, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Soul Transformation, and the Ascendant stage.
There are also other paths of cultivation but that is a topic that does not concern Adrian right now. All of the onlookers thought that he is someone that is from the Core Formation Stage because of the fact that he could move in the air without any external aid. The Core Formation Stage lets the Immortal easily traverse the world like a walk in the park. Even air travel is easier as he could solidify his qi as platforms that can be used for traversal.

The onlookers only speculated that Adrian was at least the Core Formation Stage though as this is the minimum stage where qi can be solidified. They are still wary of Adrian because they think that he might have a higher cultivation stage since he did not look tired despite the wave of enemies. Even the Corpse Cultivator that sent the undead towards them were wary of what Adrian has shown.
Adrian did not know but he was able to do his guard job properly and ward away any danger that could befall them. He managed to keep the onlookers being as they are despite the fact that they were tipped off that their group is in possession of a spatial artifact. Whoever spread the news did not say that they have an unbound teleportation scroll or else the onlookers will not stay still as they are.
"We are approaching the main street!" Kabrakan shouted.
"Stop!" Adrian shouted but he was too late as Kabrakan, Levin Cloud, and Peridot were caught up in a formation.
Adrian had no choice but to enter the formation before it closed as he did not know what his friends could deal with inside of it. Adrian was able to enter the formation just a second away from it closing. He boosted his speed greatly by secretly using a time acceleration spell and combining it with the use of force as well.
"Where are we?" Levin Cloud asked as could only see Adrian, Peridot, and Kabrakan.
All of them were inside a sealed space where mist flows heavily which makes it hard to distinguish the area ten meters away from them. Adrian's senses heightened as this formation was masterfully done and was not done quickly. Whoever created this formation spent quite a bit of time setting it up. The one that did this formation has at least known about them for five hours or more.
