Chapter 133: Unexpected quest

Coco was about to ascend the stairs to go back to her room, her foot already in mid-air and was about to take a step when a scroll appeared in front of her.

Ding!

"What the fuck?" Coco muttered under her breath with her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Dude.. This quest looks like an advertisement for an outing area that was about to open a day prior." Coco commented, her eyes moving from left to right as she read the content of the scroll.

"And what? I have to go out today and have fun?" Coco blinked owlishly, her mood taking a turn for the worst and quickly made her way back to her room.

She could feel several words of rant about to flow out of her mouth using the flowery language so she wanted to be in the safety of her rented room, not wanting for anyone to see her screaming at something that they can’t see.

She slammed the door shut behind her, her hand putting the lock on before she made her way to her lonesome chair by the table, which was right beside the window.

"Okay, first of all—" Coco pointed a finger at the scroll and was ready to yell at it, but she stopped when another scroll appeared.

Ding!

Her emerald irises squinted into a glare as she inspected the way the scroll rolled itself open so she could read whatever’s written in it, making her glare daggers on the brown paper.

[ Side Quest {2}: Returning the goodwill

Have you been ignoring someone’s attempt to be your friend and tend to keep it strictly professional? What are you waiting for? Befriend that individual and return their goodwill!

I don’t have to spell this out for you, do I? I know for sure that you know who I’m talking about, Coco Coison! So, if you don’t want to have your secular inventory taken back, then I suggest doing this quest first before the other one!

Give the good ol’ Joachim Tani a good offering to ask for forgiveness. You can do that, can’t you? Anything will do! I’m not a picky fairy, you know!

Do this properly and I’ll reward you handsomely! You liked the beginner’s gloves, didn’t you?

"Just what the fuck is happening?!" Coco asked no one in particular as she reached out and grabbed the side quest scroll, "Why am I getting this kind of quest from someone who’s clearly not Lulu?! Who are you?!"

This wasn’t the first time that this happened.

The first time was when she was given the farming date quest and forced her to bring Zaque out to the mountain, which resulted in her getting hurt.

The second time was the side quest for the second husband and forced her to do whatever he wanted.

Though, she liked the outcome because she met a new friend who was an adorable tough looking guy who was hopeless romantic deep down.

However, who could be the fairy behind all of this unnecessary quests that gives nothing, but more work and trouble? Sure, they give her good items and rewards, but that wasn’t Lulu supposed to be the one giving her those?

Unfortunately, even after Coco strangled the scroll and screamed at it on the top of her lungs, she didn’t receive a reply from whoever’s behind it.

"Oi!" Coco hissed and shook the scroll, "I don’t need these quests! I’m already busy enough as is! Can’t you see that?!"

Chirp. Chirp. Chirp.

The birds outside of the window were a little loud and the sounds they made were heard through the glass, making Coco become more annoyed than she already was.

"Mmn.. Coco? What’s wrong..? Why are you yelling?" The garden fairy who was sleeping soundly by the pillow stirred awake, her head popping out of the handmade handkerchief that Mrs. Tani gave Coco that she used as a blanket.

Coco immediately shut her mouth and breathed through her nose to calm her down.

She smiled softly towards Lala. "Just more quests that I need to do today or else I’ll get punished severely. I’m sorry for being so loud."

"More Quests..?" Lala asked, the words waking her up completely and making her sit up in the pillow, "Isn’t it too early for another quest? The sun is not even up yet and you’re already receiving quests?"

The fairy’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she stared at Coco. "How many quests did sister Lulu give you this time?"

Coco looked away as she laughed nervously. "It wasn’t Lulu who gave me quests.. It’s someone else.. The previous quests I received also didn’t come from her."

"What?!" Lala screeched all of a sudden which took Coco aback and made her flinch in her seat, "And you’re telling me this just now?! No one else has access to Lulu’s cubicle except for her!"

"I’m not sure I’m following.." Coco mumbled.

"It means that someone else got a hold of Lulu’s drive!" Lala sprung up from the bed.
