Naruto: Wooing Tsunade from Day One!-Chapter 332: The Situation in the Land of Rain
Chapter 332 - 332: The Situation in the Land of Rain
Ever since awakening his Wood Release, Ginji's daily life had grown monotonous. He was either training or heading to training.
The only bright spot in his routine was the young girl, Satsuki, who came to keep him company every day. Even Orochimaru had no objections to this arrangement.
A fulfilling time always passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, a month had gone by. Ginji had gradually adjusted to his rigorous training schedule.
He was growing rapidly, and Sakumo couldn't help but notice that Ginji's constitution was much stronger than Kakashi's. It was as though Ginji didn't know what exhaustion was, training tirelessly unless someone called a halt. Sakumo could only admire the incredible genes Kawakaze and Tsunade had passed down to him.
As he watched his younger brother's remarkable growth, Kakashi pushed himself harder than ever. The thought of being surpassed by his younger brother was unbearable, and he was determined to stay ahead.
Seeing Kakashi's renewed efforts, Kawakaze felt both pleased and relaxed. He had always been good at delegating responsibilities, and with Sakumo being far more reliable than himself, Kawakaze had nothing to worry about.
This allowed him to spend more time with Tsunade without any burdens, and he couldn't have been happier.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Come in," Tsunade said from behind her desk, not bothering to look up.
"Lady Hokage," Hayato Yamanaka announced as he pushed the door open.
"What is it now?" Tsunade asked, running a hand through her hair. The sight of Hayato's overly serious expression only added to her irritation. She braced herself for whatever trouble he had to report this time.
"Don't get me wrong—there's no bad news," Hayato said with a smile, attempting to ease her mood.
"Just get to the point," Tsunade replied, frowning and clearly unconvinced.
"Be nice, it's not easy for Hayato," Kawakaze interjected as he got up from the sofa. He poured Hayato a cup of tea and handed it to him.
"Thanks," Hayato said, taking a sip before beginning.
"Recently, the situation in the Land of Rain has changed. A group of wandering ninja with unknown strength has managed to consolidate most of the Land of Rain."
"I suspect it won't be long before the Land of Rain returns to peace. I'm wondering whether Konoha should take action."
Hearing this, Tsunade let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't bad news, just an update from another country.
"What kind of action?" Shōta asked, quickly grasping the core of the matter.
"Here's what I was thinking," Hayato began, flashing a sly smile and even giving Shōta a wink. It was always useful to have good friends who could pass on information.
"One option is to send support to help them quickly unify the Land of Rain and establish a relatively stable underground alliance. The second is to suppress and destroy them outright. Rather than allowing an unknown force to consolidate power in the Land of Rain, it's better to let it remain in chaos."
As Hayato spoke, his eyes grew cold and stern. The potential consequences for the Land of Rain were irrelevant to him; his focus was solely on what would benefit Konoha.
"Have you made contact?" Tsunade asked. She knew Hayato wouldn't raise the issue without taking some action first.
"We've made contact, but there's some resistance to cooperation. However, there's still hope. Their second-in-command is relatively easy to deal with," Hayato replied. He had already sent someone to make secret contact and, after seeing some progress, had come to Tsunade for her final decision.
"Shōta, what do you think?" Tsunade asked, glancing at him. She recognized that his strategic insight often surpassed her own in such matters.

"Let me think," Shōta said, pinching his temples as he considered the options. After weighing the pros and cons, he spoke carefully.
"The Land of Rain occupies a strategic geographical position. It's highly likely that this force has been approached by others besides us. Even if we form an alliance, there's no guarantee of their loyalty in the future. My suggestion is to eliminate them. A chaotic Land of Rain is preferable to an unstable ally who might betray us."
"Actually, that's what I was thinking," Hayato said, nodding in agreement.
Both men had come not so much to seek Tsunade's decision as to request troops to carry out their plan.
Tsunade listened quietly before shifting her gaze to Kawakaze, the strategist she trusted most.
"Ahem..." Kawakaze cleared his throat, drawing the attention of all three.
"You don't need to worry about this matter. I'll handle it," he said simply.
His words left the others stunned, their pupils dilating in surprise.
We asked for your opinion—what's with this sudden responsibility?
"Lord Kawakaze, this is no joke," Hayato said, his tone more formal now. "I think you should tell us what you plan to do."
His unease was clear. This was no small matter; lives were at stake.
"I have three disciples that I brought back from the Land of Rain. You two know about them."
They nodded slightly, already aware of this.
"What do you mean?"
There was no need to mince words among them. Hayato and Shōta quickly caught on, their eyes lighting up. This was a promising idea.
"Well," Kawakaze continued, "you can rest assured of their current strength."
He spoke with full confidence in Nagato and the others. This plan had been in motion for a long time. An aging man with no real power posed no threat to Nagato, let alone someone like Zetsu.
Kawakaze recalled past failures in the Land of Water, where even the Mizukage's puppet had been eliminated. Those experiences made him certain that Nagato could handle the Land of Rain without issue. Besides, Nagato's current team was far stronger than their original counterparts.
Any Naruto fan would understand the immense potential of a healthy young Nagato.
"Then I'll leave it to you," Hayato said with a grin, his earlier seriousness replaced by a sense of relief.
"Feel free to contact me if you need anything."
"I'll support you fully," Tsunade added, waving a hand to finalize the matter. Though she didn't fully grasp every detail of Kawakaze's plan, she trusted him enough to go along with it. If something went wrong, they would share the blame together.
"You're truly far-sighted," Shōta remarked, his thoughts spiraling further.
He began to reflect on how the three disciples had remained low-profile in the village for years. Perhaps Kawakaze had been preparing for this very moment all along. The sheer foresight required to anticipate such an opportunity was mind-boggling.
Back when the Land of Rain was in chaos, Kawakaze had merely been an "unremarkable" Jōnin. Could he really have been planning this far ahead? Shōta marveled at the depth of his intelligence and confidence, realizing how much more there was to Kawakaze than met the eye.
While Shōta's imagination ran wild, Kawakaze remained blissfully unaware of the drama unfolding in his mind.
Kawakaze only knew that his familiarity with the plot had saved him from potential disaster. Without it, he doubted he'd have achieved anything—let alone married Tsunade and started a family. More likely, the grass on his grave would already be several meters tall.
"Hey, I don't deserve that," Kawakaze said with a shake of his head, though his barely concealed delight didn't escape notice.
Tsunade rolled her eyes in exasperation. Could he be any more obvious?
...
The four continued their discussion for a while longer, the atmosphere light and harmonious. Everyone wore a smile.
Since taking on the Hokage position, Tsunade felt far less constrained than when Hiruzen Sarutobi was in charge. She was far more at ease.
After some friendly boasting, Kawakaze and Hayato left together. Kawakaze had business with the Anbu and was off to find someone!
