My Werewolf System-Chapter 1277: The Power Of A Luna (Part 1)
Both Innu and Blake hadn't fought directly with Ylva, so they didn't know the true power she held, but they knew one thing, that she was the Luna of the Lupus pack. It was one of the people that they were informed about directly by Edvard to look out for.
So they had imagined she had to have a large amount of power. If anything, seeing how cautious Midwak was around her made them fear her strength.
Now, there was just panic in Blake's heart as he saw her.
'Even if dad is a five-star hunter, this might be too much, and I can't even help him out?'
Immediately, Ozacas had readied his sword as he pointed it towards Ylva. He then rushed forward and went to strike her down just as he had done with every other Werewolf he had come across.
"Dad, no!" Blake shouted.
The sword strike was powerful as Ozacas had managed to have enough time to draw the power of the weapon. He swung it and Ylva lifted her hands, her nails had elongated slightly, not as much as a Werewolf from the hunter class, but enough for her to use them in order to block the sword strike.
She had blocked each of the hits directed at her with a single hand, and she hadn't even budged from her position. She continued to move it, scraping it against the sword.
'No.' Blake's heart was racing even faster than he thought. 'She's stronger than I even thought. Father won't be able to do anything on his own!'
"This is the power of the five-star hunters?" Ylva laughed, and gripped harder with her nails the next attack she had blocked, and the sword had snapped in half, dropping to the floor. "The fact that the Ironfangs are struggling against these hunters, it looks like I will need to speak to Lupus directly about this."
Ylva then went forward and swiped with her hand, but Ozacas was able to predict the attack as he leant back and the claws hadn't hit his face. Even Ylva had to admit this was impressive, because the human despite being slower, the only way they could dodge the attack was to predict it, or see tell-tale signs that it was going to come before she had attacked.
However, lifting her foot up quickly, she had kicked Ozacas right in the chest. His feet lifted off the ground and he was sent hurling into the back of the room, crashing into the tables.
"Dad!" Blake shouted again.
"Oh, this is your father, well, now that has gotten interesting, what a sweet bond you two have."

Gary and Midwak were running through the city of Ruin, heading to the Garden where Blake and Innu were located at. While on their way there, Gary wanted to get as much information as possible just in case he would run into a particular someone.

"We wanted to ask you this before, but you had already left Notsburg," Gary said. "What are the benefits of having a Luna in the pack? Or more what I'm asking—what is it that we should be worried about?"
"I actually don't know as much as you think." Midwak replied. "I left the Lupus group just as a Luna was introduced into the pack. So I don't know fully. I know Kai hasn't explained everything to you, but these past few days while I've been here, I did discover a few things."
Midwak wasn't ready to tell Gary the full story of his past, and it wasn't important to mention that right now. The good thing was Gary put so much trust in Kai, as long as Kai cleared him, then Gary would do the same.
There was a second reason why Gary was asking as well. Because soon the Howlers themselves would have their own Luna in the pack—their group—and it was important to know what the benefits were.
"From what bits I was taught and what I've seen, you can separate the Luna's powers into two categories. First there are its pack capabilities. There is something known as the Wolf's Song.
"Something the Luna can only do. A unique howl that she produces can be heard by all of the pack within a certain distance. The call itself, it's something the Luna does when she's in trouble, and instinctively all of the Werewolves nearby know where to find her."
Gary gulped for a moment. The entire pack of the Lupus gang? No doubt it meant that also Lupus himself would be called if such a move was performed.
"On top of that, when near the Luna she can empower the pack within a particular area. Everyone is boosted beyond their regular capabilities."
Hearing this, it sounded somewhat similar to Park's Paladin class, where he could make it so others healed quicker that were nearby. What it also meant was, it was important to get the Luna away from the rest of the pack if they wanted it weakened.
However, with the Wolf's Song, it was a hard combo to perform.
"Lastly, in terms of pack-related, this is what I know about synergy with the Alpha. There are two things. The Luna is there to calm the Alpha when his emotions are a mess.
"From our teachings, we learn that the Alpha can go into a dreadful rage, and the only one that can calm it down is the Luna itself. Considering that you haven't done such a thing in the past, it makes me think something if you understand where I'm going…"
Gary did understand, there was no such form for Gary.
"It means the Luna is the one that can calm the Alpha into this mode. She is also the one that can send him into this frenzy."
