My Husband Is a Million Years Old Vampire-Chapter 135
Chapter 135: Chapter 135
Not long after Raymond had cleaned himself up, he then pulled up at the quiet street corner where Valentina sat. Her arms were wrapped around herself, her eyes red, her body trembling from everything that had happened.
Without saying a word, Raymond rushed toward her.
He dropped to his knees and pulled her into his arms, holding her close—firm, warm, and protective.
His touch was gentle, even though a strange coldness still lingered in the air around him.
Then he rested her head on his shoulder, whispering softly as his arms tightened.
"I’m here," he said. "I’ve got you now. You’re safe."
Valentina didn’t speak at first.
She just let the warmth of his embrace wash over her broken pieces.
"I’m sorry," he murmured again, his tone calm but laced with something more.
"This won’t happen again. I’ll make sure of it. From now on, you’ll have security... someone watching over you, someone you can count on."
Valentina slowly nodded, but her shoulders began to shake. She tried to hold it in—but the memory was too raw.
And immediately tears spilled down her cheeks again.
"I thought I was going to die," she whispered through sobs.
"He—he looked me in the eyes and didn’t even blink. He was so heartless. I couldn’t breathe. I thought that was the end."
Again Raymond hugged her tighter, brushing her hair gently with his fingers. His jaw clenched, but his voice stayed soft.
"It’s not the end. I’m here."
Valentina sniffled and leaned into his chest.
"He gave me five hours," she said, her voice trembling. "He said he’d come back... if I didn’t give him an answer..."
Without wasting anymore time Valentina wiped her tears with the back of her hand and looked up at Raymond, her voice trembling but firm.
"I don’t want to go to the hospital right now," she said, her eyes still glistening. "I want us to report this. Officially. Properly. Before it gets worse."
At that moment Raymond raised a brow. "Valentina—"
"No," she interrupted. "Please. You said you’ll protect me, right? Then let’s make it official. You have connections, I know you do. Let’s report it to the authorities before this man tries something again."
Raymond stayed quiet, his arms still around her, but he could feel her panic building even more.
"And I’m scared for you too," she added quietly.
"You don’t understand, Raymond. That man... he’s heartless. He’ll do anything. He’s done it before. He doesn’t care who gets hurt just to get what he wants."
That was when Raymond’s eyes darkened.
"Valentina—" he started, his voice tighter now, "you’re worrying too much."
She pulled back slightly, hurt flashing across her face. "Why would I not worry?" she snapped softly, her voice cracking.
"I’m telling you what this man is capable of, and all you can say is I worry too much?"
Her hands were now gripping his arms tightly, pleading.
"What if something happens to you because of me? What if he goes after you next? Raymond, I can’t live with that."
She paused, her chest heaving. "You deserve the best. You don’t deserve to suffer because of me. If anything happens to you... your family will never forgive me."
Valentina looked at him again, her eyes still clouded with fear. "Raymond, please. This is serious. I need to protect you too. I see this as a real threat now. We can’t just sit back and act like nothing happened."
Immediately She took his hands tightly in hers. "Let’s involve the authorities. Even if they’re not strong enough, even if it might not work... you have connections. It might help to make him go away. Let’s just do what’s right."
Raymond exhaled quietly, brushing a thumb gently across her cheek, wiping away the last tear resting there. His voice was soft now, calming.
"Valentina... you’re thinking too far ahead. I told you, I’m not letting anything happen to you or to me."
At that moment she tried to speak again, but he placed his finger lightly against her lips.
"No more worrying. I’m sure that man... that boss... will meet his end very soon."
Then his arms wrapped around her again, pulling her into his chest. This time, it was different. His embrace was slower, warmer—like he wanted her to feel every second of his presence, like he wanted to remind her he was still here, and nothing could change that.
He rested his chin gently on her head.
"Just rest for now. Let me hold you. Let me feel that you’re okay."
Valentina slowly relaxed into his arms.
Raymond smiled faintly and whispered, "Once the doctor confirms that you’re alright, we’ll talk. We’ll make a move. And I promise you, we’ll stop that man."
At that moment Valentina let out a quiet breath of relief, her heart slowly settling.
Not long after Raymond and Valentina left for the hospital.

Maria stood outside the gates of a compound she never imagined she’d be staring at. Her brows slowly pulled together as her eyes traced every inch of the massive mansion in front of her.
She blinked once. Then twice.
"This can’t be it," she muttered under her breath, taking a hesitant step forward.
But it was. Her eyes didn’t lie.
The building before her wasn’t just big—it was vast. The main house stood proudly at the center of a wide stretch of land, the kind you only saw in estate magazines or government properties. The land surrounding it? Untouched. Silent. There wasn’t a single house in sight. Just trees, distant fences, and long quiet roads.
She shook her head slowly.
Everyone in the city knew who owned this part of town. It wasn’t for the average rich—it belonged to a powerful, well-respected family. And yet, here she was, standing in front of his house. The same man she had insulted in her heart just days ago. The same man she once called a nobody.
Maria folded her arms and took another step forward, hoping this was a mistake.
"No way," she whispered to herself. "This... this can’t be where that bastard lives?"
It didn’t make sense. Not to her. She had come to see it with her own eyes, hoping to laugh. Hoping to see a rundown building tucked away somewhere in the corner of the city. But this?
This was too much, Her heels clicked softly on the pavement as she walked closer, curiosity driving her forward. There were no guards at the gate. No security cameras glaring down. In fact, the gate... was open.
Wide open, Maria froze, looking around.
Not a single person in sight. No dogs barking. No voices. No footsteps, Nothing.
At that moment her heart picked up a beat. She rubbed her palms slowly against her dress as a cold breeze passed through her.
"For a place this big," she whispered again, "where are the guards? Where’s the protection?"
Still... nothing, And that silence made everything more terrifying.
