My Evil Boy Toy-Chapter 236: A Friend’s Betrayal
Chapter 236: A Friend’s Betrayal
We were in the middle of something when a loud knock disturbed us. At first, we tried to ignore it, but it seemed the person outside didn’t have a plan on leaving.
Jayden was busy sucking and licking my pussy, but the sound of someone banging the door both got us pissed.
"L-Love, check who’s on the door, please." I frowned.
Jayden got out of the bed with a dark expression. I bit my lips to stop myself from laughing, but Jayden knew that I was making fun of him and glared at me.
He took a towel, wrapped it around his waist, and then rushed towards the door.
"What the hell’s wrong with you?" He yelled.
I covered myself with the sheet on the bed and yawned. I suddenly felt exhausted from partying till midnight. I was surprised when I saw Andrew barge inside our bedroom.
"Andrew! What are you doing?" I asked.
He looked so lost when I looked at him, and I could sense that he was fuming with anger. Jayden didn’t say a word. If there was nothing wrong with Andrew, Jayden would probably have killed him already from coming inside the room uninvited.
Andrew turned around, and I knew he was asking me to get dressed. So I stood up and ran towards the bathroom.
"What is it? What happened?" I asked after fixing myself.
"Nina’s gone." He answered with gritted teeth.
I was surprised. I glanced at Jayden, who was just sitting on the couch across from Andrew.
"What do you mean she’s gone?" I frowned.
Then Andrew handed me a brown envelope. I took it and opened it to see what was inside. There were documents compiled and four white envelopes that looked like letters.
I read the documents one by one and was shocked by what I saw. One of the documents was a divorce signed and filed by Nina. Then one of the white envelopes had my name written on it.
I opened the envelope and took the paper. It was really a letter for me.
’Dear Peggy,
First of all, I’m sorry. If you’re already reading this letter, that means I’m already gone. I don’t really know how to start, but I want you to know that I had no choice but to do what I was told.
Peggy, I did something unforgivable. And because of that, you had to leave Jayden for three years, and now you lost your baby.’
My eyes widened, and my heart was starting to pound. I curled my lips, took a deep breath, and continued.
’Peggy, I had been spying on all of you for six years. I have been working with Paolo Santelmo since the day Andrew and I went to Paris. I found out he was my sponsor and asked me to pay him by working as his spy. Before we came to Flousia, I already knew about the attack. I also knew about the involvement between the Rossi’s and your stepdad. I fed Paolo the information he needed about Luke and our friends, including you. I’m sorry. No words can describe how much guilt I had been feeling for the past six years. Now, my guilt has been doubled when you lost your baby. I cannot face any one of you anymore, especially you, Jayden, and my husband. I left because I am a coward. I cannot face your resentments and disgusts towards me. I’m really sorry, Peggy. I don’t know how I could live, knowing that I had hurt you the most. If only I could turn back time, I would not choose to study in Golden Oak. I would never have met you, Alora, Emily, and Sophie. I would never have met Andrew. If only I was like you or Alora back then, I might have found a solution other than following Paolo’s orders. I’m really sorry, but please do not forgive me.’
I felt like my heart was breaking apart. How could she do this to me? To us? I trusted her! I treated her like a sister!
Tears started falling from my eyes. Another pain, another heartbreak, another betrayal, and it was from one of my most trusted friends.
Jayden took the letter from me when I started crying. His face went dark and with gritted teeth, he suddenly attacked Andrew.
"Jayden, no!" I screamed.
It was so fast that I wasn’t able to stop Jayden. He was pinning Andrew on the floor, strangling him. Andrew struggled, but I don’t know why Jayden was so strong, but I can see his expression was so different.
"Jayden, stop it! You’re killing him!" I shouted.
I saw Luke and Percy rushing inside the bedroom, followed by Alora and Sophie. The boys tried to pull Jayden from Andrew, but he was too strong.
I saw Andrew’s face was starting to pale. As my heart beat so fast, someone injected something into Jayden’s neck. It was Kyle.
Then Jayden slowly loosened his hands around Andrew’s neck and fell unconscious.
"What the fuck happened?" Luke yelled as they put Jayden on the bed.
"I-It’s Nina." I murmured.
Alora frowned. "What about Nina?"
Then I handed them the same documents Andrew gave me.
I heard Sophie started crying, but Alora had the same expression on her face. No. It was different. I glanced at her again and she had the same look as Jayden earlier.
"You didn’t know anything about this?" Luke asked Andrew.
Andrew was sitting on the floor, gasping for air. He shook his hand and clenched his fist.
"She said she had no choice. Maybe Paolo threatened her." Percy commented.
I glared at Percy. "So, what’s your point? That what she did was okay because the guy threatened her? Six years! For fucking six years, she had her chance to tell one of us! Why did she choose to betray us?"
It was painful. I thought I was done crying when I lost Mireya. Now, my misery came back because of what Nina did.
