My Apocalypse Territory-Chapter 469 - 435: Qi Fortune (Extended - )
Chapter 469: Chapter 435: Qi Fortune (Extended Chapter)
Green Shadow was still a scene of bright lights.
Like the silhouette of a Demon God, the apocalyptic thunder had vanished without a trace.
It all felt like a distant memory.
Outside the city, it looked as though a level-17 typhoon had swept through, leaving chaos everywhere.
The thirty-meter-high city wall had served as the best bastion, blocking the residual shockwaves so that the buildings within the city remained undamaged.
Yan Dingtian stood on the city wall, head held high, chest out, looking down at the unsettled Awakeners below, waving his hand to indicate that he had done what was needed; the formidable foe was not worth mentioning.
The Awakeners below did not react.
They had no idea what had happened.
First came an oppressive aura, then brilliant starlight and thunder like an Immortal undergoing tribulation.
Yet in just ten to twenty seconds, they really didn’t know what had happened.
One couldn’t expect a group of Awakeners, mostly Sixth or Seventh Layer, to clearly see a Transcendent’s activities—the weaker ones were either scared stiff or fainted.
More than two hours later, the Floating Airship Fleet returned.
Seven airships converging together were more striking, and the still somewhat dazed Awakeners, along with ordinary survivors emerging from the shelters, did not know who cheered first when they saw the fleet; soon, shouts rang through the skies above Green Shadow.
Tang Yu got off the airship with a sense of poignancy in his heart... waving and nodding to the survivors.
But suddenly, he saw Yan crouching in a corner of the city wall, his face filled with helpless frustration.
What was going on?
...
"A Space Stone, accompanied by countless precious materials, and engraved with an array consisting of three Master runes, twenty-seven Advanced runes, one hundred and forty-nine Intermediate runes, and one thousand four hundred and forty-nine Basic runes...
It still requires a large amount of human blood as a catalyst, and a special method to open the space portal... and this portal has limitations; the higher the energy level of anything passing through, whether person or object, the more severe the portal’s oscillations become, posing a risk of collapsing the portal if forced through..."
Tang Yu pondered.
The Alien Race and the Demonized Beasts were not on the same Plane, and the cost of opening a space portal was unknowably high.
Abyssal Rifts were almost omnipresent, and Demonized Beasts seemed endless.
But for the Alien Race, just one Space Stone was made up of countless Sky-splitting Crystals,
—In other words, a Sky-splitting Crystal was just a fragment.
Other precious materials, some of which even Tang Yu, with his vast knowledge, couldn’t recognize.
"It’s just as well; the Alien Race must have sent the materials and some weaker members of their race to Earth first... or perhaps the materials were simply sourced from Earth; now they no longer have the materials to construct portals, and most of their people are dead, these two races are unlikely to stir up much trouble for some time...
But Earth... Origin Star, actually has hundreds of Alien Races, each estimated at ten Transcendent beings, that would make a thousand Transcendents; and as time goes on, as the world’s barriers weaken and the space portals are reinforced, more Transcendents will arrive on Earth, including Second and Third Tier."
Just the thought was horrifying.
This combined assault of the two races, had he not had an unknown ace up his sleeve, catching the enemy off guard, at most... he could have only repelled them; once targeted by a dozen or more Transcendents, that would be troublesome.
"Moreover, according to the data currently understood, these Alien Races are probably under the command of the ’Sovereign’,’ the ’Sovereign’ must be a being of unimaginable power, and these Alien Races may just be servants?"
Tang Yu could only guess, but the more he thought about it, the more formidable the enemy seemed.
Before he knew anything, Tang Yu thought his Third Tier Territory was secure; the Demon Tide couldn’t breach it... including many large Sanctuaries now didn’t feel a sense of crisis; they were unaware of the Alien Races, at most they’d faced attacks by Catastrophe Level Demonized Beasts.
But the more he knew, the more he realized the terrifying power possessed by the Alien Races.
Humanity’s survival till now was partly due to world barriers limiting the Alien Races... but Tang Yu felt there must be something else he didn’t understand.
Shaking his head, he stored the Space Stone and other materials separately.
Tang Yu didn’t think further; he was very tired tonight, having been on edge for a long time; he hadn’t needed sleep for a while, but today, after changing clothes and lying in bed, he fell into a deep sleep.
...
The blue Heavenly Dome above mirrored countless picturesque scenes.
As far as the eye could see, numerous lush trees, each comparable to a twenty-story building, were immensely large; their branches spread out, bearing leaves that looked like crystals. Upon closer inspection, some trees also had exquisitely built tree houses.
Further in the distance was an endless, mirror-smooth lake.
Birds and beasts soared, like a paradise.
The scene zoomed out infinitely.
Tang Yu saw the Divine Mountain piercing the Heavenly Dome and floating cities hanging in the air; through the reflection in the sky, it felt like he was seeing countless worlds.
But suddenly, the sky’s reflection was tinged with a glaring red, and one by one, they vanished.
The great trees withered, the Divine Mountain collapsed, and the floating cities fell...
Tang Yu woke up.
His eyelids slowly opened.
The warm sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, spilling onto the bed curtains.
Waking up, he felt refreshed and invigorated, better than he had ever felt before.
"Strange... it seemed like I dreamt of an incredibly grand world... can’t remember it now."
Shaking his head, Tang Yu sat up straight in bed, sitting cross-legged on the bed, chin propped on his hands, thinking for a moment.
He decided to first brush his teeth and wash his face, then have a meal, and then cultivate.
