The night had become dead silent. Damien and my return caused a commotion because of the injured warrior Boris, whom I had stopped dragging and had let go of his leg.

Boris was helplessly lying on the ground and was breathing slowly. He was barely alive, I made sure of that.

The warriors, including the injured warriors who had been treated by the doctor but hadn’t returned to their respective camp houses, looked at me with confused faces.

I didn’t blame the way they were looking at me, because if I were in their shoes, I would have done the same thing and also be confused.

I sensed another strong presence other than Damien, making me turn to my side, only for me to see the Gamma come out from where I suspected was his camp house. He approached me and Damien.

"What is going on, beta Damien? Why is elder warrior Boris in this miserable state? What happened to him?". The Gamma asked with his eyebrows furrowed.

He must be very focused on Boris right now because he did not sense yet that I was Anastasia’s other half.

Well, my eyebrows furrowed as well, as I remembered the way the Gamma had been disrespectful towards Clara. "You. How dare you disrespect Luna Anastasia? Do you want to die?". I was straightforward when I asked him this question. I wasn’t afraid of him a bit, because I knew I could take him on in a fight.

The Gamma fixed his attention on me. The look on his face said it all. He was surprised.

"Who are you?". The Gamma’s eyes widened as he questioned me, and I was pleased that he could tell I wasn’t Anastasia, unlike Boris, that ignorant fool.

"I am Luna Elektra, Luna Anastasia’s wolf". I announced.

The stunned look on everyone’s faces made me smirk, and I proudly added, "Anastasia had successfully awakened me. She’s no longer wolf-less. She has me now, Gamma. So now, I advise you, don’t you dare disrespect her again, because I will never tolerate that! The next time you disrespect Anastasia, that will be the day me and you will fight! Additionally, as for your previous question when you were facing Anastasia, I am not invisible. You simply weren’t able to sense nor see me back then because I hadn’t taken control of this body. I hope you understand that, Gamma? What an annoying jerk you are".

The stunned look on the Gamma’s face abruptly disappeared, and he glared at me. In return, I glared back at him and purposely revealed my fangs to him, showing him that I was ready to fight him if that was what he wanted.

"You said that I should not disrespect Anastasia? So what if she had awakened you? That does not change the fact that she is a brainless and a good-for-nothing Luna!". The Gamma yelled at me and remained firm because he believed that he was in the right.

I, myself, knew that he was speaking the truth. Anastasia was truly brainless and a good-for-nothing Luna. But even still, I feel angry at the Gamma, maybe because of his attitude, which I feel is rude.

I gritted my teeth and was restraining myself from fighting him, but I couldn’t.

My eyes darkened as I stared at the Gamma and was ready to launch an attack against him.

"That’s enough, Gamma Clark". Damien intervened between us and spoke. His aura was cold and distant. freewebnøvel.coɱ

I bet Damien purposely unleashed his aura to show me and the Gamma that he could discipline us both if we dared to misbehave by fighting each other.

I had to control myself against my will, as I clearly knew that Damien was stronger than I was. If I wish to fight the Gamma who I feel I can beat, I probably should do that behind Damien’s back.

"Oh my! He’s greatly injured!". The panicked voice of the doctor caused us to remember Boris, whom we had forgotten about.

As the doctor wanted to examine Boris’ pulse, I grabbed his white coat and threw him away on the ground. "Don’t touch him. He does not deserve to be treated". I was irritated as I hissed and said to the doctor.

"What is wrong with you, Luna Elektra?! Can’t you see that he is heavily injured? Why don’t you want the doctor to treat him? Wait a second. What happened to him? Who injured him? Wasn’t he okay a few minutes ago?". Gamma Clark questioned me and I ignored him.

"Boris is the spy. He betrayed us. He betrayed the shadows’ pack by working together with the rogue werewolves and killing our Luna and Alpha. Earlier, Anastasia and I saw him sneaking out of the border, so we followed him and discovered his involvement with the rogue werewolves and the death of our previous Alpha and Luna". Damien explained, and everyone gasped in disbelief before their eyes fell on Boris.

Everyone naturally believed Beta Damien’s words and didn’t have any doubts about his words. They know that Beta Damien is not someone who could lie to them.

They were no longer staring at Boris with pity, instead, they glared at him, as if they were ready to tear him into pieces.

Gamma Clark hurried. He bent down and grabbed Boris’ collar. He was so fast that I became astonished. His angered expression showed it all. His good impressions of Boris had changed. He completely hated Boris now. "Why did you do that, elder warrior Boris?! How dare you work with our enemies and kill our Alpha and Luna?! What made you do that?! Are you out of your damn mind?!". Gamma Clark asked Boris. His eyes showed how pained he was.

I get it. Being betrayed by your own people felt like a bomb planted in your heart.

Gamma Clark’s reaction taught me something important. He might be a jerk to Anastasia, but he’s a very loyal Gamma to the shadows’ pack.

I became less angry at Gamma Clark. I mind - linked Clara and said to her, ’Clara, you can regain full control of our body. But, I want you to do something for us’.

’What is it?’. Clara’s determined voice came through. I smiled briefly.

I wouldn’t lie, I feel bonded to Clara more than with Anastasia. I feel like I was always meant to be her wolf, and that she was always meant to become my human.

Thinking through.... I don’t blame the way Gamma Clark treats me and Clara. Indeed, Anastasia messed everything up, that’s why. Unfortunately, Gamma Clark has no idea that the troublemaker Anastasia he once knew is no longer alive.

’Make sure to change the way our people and other people think of us. Anastasia messed everything up, including her reputation. Now that you are the owner of her body, I want you to change her reputation into a good one. At least, we could do that much for her and ourselves’. I said to her and closed my eyes.

’Sure. I already vowed to change her reputation into a good one’. Clara told me. When I opened my eyes, the empty abyss greeted me. Though, I didn’t mind being in the abyss, because I could still see the outside world through Clara.
