President Michael had explained everything to me.

According to him, his wife, daughter and eldest son visited their vacation mansion as they planned to spend the holidays there before it got to January and Bella would return to school.

After listening to President Michael’s story, I told him that I would visit his family vacation mansion tomorrow to investigate there, and he had already given me his permission to do so. He really wanted his daughter to get well.

Also, a five-star hotel? What? I am wealthy now, so I should enjoy the comfort of being rich before I focus on the war.

All the rooms in the hotel were already reserved, but as long as there was money involved, there was a solution.

"Nice doing business with you, Alpha Anastasia". The director of the five-star hotel, who was a male and was wearing a black suit, said to me as he handed over to me my hotel room’s access key card with a polite and welcoming smile on his face.

I was about to close the door but had to stop when I saw that Anders was outside and wasn’t planning on coming in.

"What is wrong?". I asked him when I saw his red face.

"Al- Alpha Anastasia, it is improper for me, a mere citizen, to stay inside the room with you". He quickly said to me and stepped back when I tried to grab him.

"So it’s okay for you to sleep outside here?". I asked Anders, and after he did not reply to me, I grinned as I added, "Alright, Anders, I will respect your wish. I just hope that before tomorrow, that demon will not have ended your life by possessing your body and making your body his own".

"Ack!". Anders shrieked in horror.

He ran into the room before I could say any other word to him.

’He is a bold kid, but he is so scared of demons. I would believe it if someone told me that he had been attacked by demons before, or he had seen a demon himself. Maybe he is experiencing ptsd. You should ask him, Clara’. Elektra suggested.

’Stop overthinking, Elektra’. I mind - linked her as I replied to her.

’Whatever. I am not overthinking anything, Clara. I was just stating the facts. Hmph’. She said to me, before she added, ’Quickly eat something before I die in this abyss. I don’t even understand why I can experience hunger while I am in this abyss whenever you are starving. That’s so not cool’.

"Tsk. You are not the only one experiencing this, Elektra. All werewolves do. And I am no exception now that I am also a werewolf". I said to her, before I closed the door to my hotel room.

In case you guys are wondering, yeah, whenever any of the other half are in the abyss, they would be able to feel hunger whenever their other half are starving.

They are also able to feel some of their other half’s emotions. But we shouldn’t mistake these two together. Let’s say I got injured and Elektra later took control of our body while I then remained in the empty abyss. I will not be able to feel any pain anymore. Elektra would be the one feeling the pain.

Crazy, right? Yep. Being a werewolf means being crazy to me.

I sighed. Massaging my temples, I muttered, "I didn’t know that treating the president’s daughter was going to be one of the toughest days of my life. I spent the whole day trying to figure out what caused her sickness and the cure for it. In the end, I was not able to visit neither my parents nor Luca today".

I was standing two to three feet away from the door when I heard the doorbell ring.

"Food". I could already smell and feel the food in my mouth as I muttered.

I opened the door and was greeted by a room service server, who carefully pushed the room service trolley into my room, after I permitted her to come in.

’I can see why this is a five-star hotel. They do care about their guests’ stomachs’. I thought to myself and was amazed. It has not been up to 5 minutes since I mentioned food to the hotel senior director, and the food has arrived.
