Chapter 24: Take off your clothes

Damon’s POV

I was planning to hang out with all my brothers when I suddenly found out that Silas had gotten into a fight. I knew he wouldn’t fight anyone unless they triggered him first.

So, I told my brothers to leave because now wasn’t the time to hang out. While seeing them off, I had already instructed my assistant to call everyone who was present at the scene.

When I stepped back into the office, I saw everyone standing there. I glanced at Silas’s face—there were no bruises.

But as I started questioning them, my temper flared. How dare he talk about Silas like that?

Silas, on the other hand, just stood there, not bothering to defend himself. That’s when I noticed Nekol’s hand gesture, signaling Silas to stop, so I called him over and asked him to explain everything.

But then Addy insisted that Silas should be punished.

Addy was a trending actor in our company right now, and of course, I didn’t want to lose him. But I also didn’t want to lose the company’s future best actor—Silas.

Silas was savage in his responses to Addy and his manager. It was clear that he only knew how to slay. Watching him, I couldn’t help but smile.

But when Silas told me everything, my blood boiled like lava.

Silas wasn’t the type to lie. Even though I had only known him for two or three days, I had already understood his personality—he never filtered his words to please others, and he didn’t show kindness to those who messed with him. He was also incredibly strong.

Still, getting kicked by an Alpha must have hurt. That’s why this situation was even more complicated.

I turned to Addy. "Addy, I know you’ve been causing trouble for a while, bullying the newbies. But don’t you think you went too far by ganging up on an Omega?"

I glanced at Silas, who stood in front of the sofa like nothing had happened. But I knew he was in pain.

Looking back at Addy, I continued, "You know I have every right to report you to the police and terminate your contract. I don’t want to work with someone who behaves like a criminal."

Addy’s eyes widened in shock. He hadn’t expected me to say this.

"Choose—apologize to Silas, or I’ll terminate your contract."

I gave him a choice because, despite everything, I didn’t want to lose him. I was just threatening him, knowing how much he valued his career.

"If I apologize to him, I can continue working, right?" Addy asked.

I nodded. If he apologized, he could stay.

I sat on the sofa, glancing at Silas, just as Addy stepped forward with his three companions. He bowed in front of Silas.

"I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have kicked you. It was my mistake," he said.

Silas’s face remained blank, as if he didn’t understand what had just happened. But then, he smirked, clearly pleased to see Addy apologizing to him.

I decided to let the matter go because Silas had already taken his revenge. Even if Addy had hit him, I was more satisfied knowing that Silas had hit him back.

"Okay, I forgive you. Just don’t mess with me again," Silas said.

Hearing that, I found Silas surprisingly simple. He didn’t hold grudges and forgave Addy so quickly.

"You all can leave now," I ordered.

As everyone left, Silas was about to follow them, but I called out his name.

"Silas, stay."

Once the door closed, leaving only the two of us in the office, the air was filled with the scent of strawberry pheromones. It was oddly calming.

"Why did you tell me to stay behind?" Silas asked.

Of course, he would ask. He always spoke whatever was on his mind.

"Silas, take off your jacket and top," I said.

He took a step back, eyes wary.

"Are you out of your mind? Don’t tell me you took my side just so you could have your way with me. No, don’t even think about it! If you try anything, I might hit you too!"

I burst into laughter. "Hahaha... You’re funny, Silas. But that’s not what I meant."

He still didn’t trust me, staying on guard.

"I just want to check where Addy kicked you. I know you haven’t gone to a doctor yet. If that area is swollen, you might not be able to shoot for the drama," I explained.

Finally, he sighed in relief, his shoulders relaxing.

"I’m fine. I’m not feeling any pain right now," he insisted.

"Silas, are you going to show me yourself, or should I help you take off your clothes?" I teased.

His expression went blank again. Then, after a moment of hesitation, he removed his jacket and let it drop to the floor. Slowly, he took off his T-shirt as well.

His upper body was exposed. He was thin, but his skin was as white as milk. Seeing him like that, I stood up and took a step toward him. He was slightly shivering.

I still couldn’t believe that someone with such a thin frame had so much strength.

I circled around him, checking for bruises. Then I found them—two deep bruises, one on his back and another on his waist. They had turned a mix of red and green. It looked painful.

I held Silas’s hand and guided him to the sofa, making him sit down while I grabbed the first aid kit from the drawer. Then, I sat beside him.

"Let me apply some ointment to your bruises. You won’t feel any pain after this," I said.

"No need, Mr. Damon. I’ll just go to the doctor. Why are you doing so much for me?" Silas replied.

Why am I doing this much for him? I don’t know... maybe because I don’t want to see him in pain.

I ignored what Silas said and started applying the ointment to his bruises. But the moment the cotton touched his skin—

"Ughh..." he groaned, his hand suddenly gripping my thigh.

As I continued applying the ointment, his grip tightened. That’s how much pain he was in.

When I finished applying the ointment, I glanced at Silas. There were tears in his eyes, but he was holding himself back from crying.
