’Did you think this will work?!’ He thought, hurriedly stretching his hand forward.

Slosh!

"Water Barrier!" He shouted, conjuring a large barrier of water which hovered in front of him.

’You made a mistake choosing to change the nature of that wall!!’

Splosh!

The earth spears crashed into the barrier instead, instantly disintegrating into tiny brown particles.

Whoosh!

As for the crescent slash he launched earlier, it hurtled towards Olivia at terrifying speed.

"Light Boots!" The Elementalist shouted, and two, thick boots of light immediately materialised around her feet.

Utilizing her speed boost from the spell, she swiftly dashed to the side, successfully dodging the slash.

Whoosh!

The crescent wave flew past her, before crashing into the barrier in the distance. The moment it hit the barrier, it rapidly crumbled into tiny dots, vanishing into thin air.

Olivia was a dual Elementalist, with high grade earth and medium grade light elements.

Among the top ten elites of the academy, there were two light Elementalists, which were Susan and Olivia.

However, the latter’s light element was weaker than the former’s, since her element was only medium grade.

Nonetheless, Henry didn’t plan on giving Olivia breathing space, and before she could even land on her feet, he quickly unleashed another attack.

Swoosh!!

"Cyclone Blast!" He shouted, and immediately, wind clothed his hands, spiralling outwards with violent intensity.

Stomping his feet on the ground, Henry swiftly thrusted his fists forwards.

Bam!

BWOOSH!

And with a loud roar, the two wind cyclones swirling around his fists blasted towards Olivia, rapidly closing in on her.

’Damn it!’ Olivia thought, hurriedly channeling a spell to defend herself.

Kroomm!!!

"Earth Wall!!" She shouted, and a giant wall of earth immediately rose up in front of her.

BOOM!!

The first blast slammed into the giant wall with full force, filling the air with a loud exploding sound.

BOOM!

The next blast followed almost instantly, striking the earth wall with a loud bang.

Crack!

The wall trembled violently, and unable to withstand the power behind the blasts, a large crack suddenly appeared in the middle.

Within a few seconds, the giant wall crumbled into tiny brown particles before disappearing into thin air.

’I know i casted that spell in a hurry, but for him to just bring it down like that...’ Olivia mumbled inwardly, her eyes narrowing at her opponent.

"Water Sphere!" Henry’s loud voice rung through the air once more, as he hurriedly casted another spell.

Sloshh!!

A large ball of water swiftly materialised above him, with violent currents swirling all around it.

"Eat this!" The Elementalist shouted with a smug smirk on his face as he launched the giant water ball towards Olivia.

The water sphere flew through the air at rapid speed, rapidly closing in Olivia.

"Earth Fist Surge!" She shouted, and rocks rapidly sprouted all over her arm, until it was all covered in crude brown rocks.

Kroom!!!

She swiftly thrusted her hand forward, and a large giant, rock fist shot out from her arm, heading straight for the water sphere.

BAM!

The earth fist struck the water ball right at the middle, punching a hole through it.

Splosh!!

The sphere immediately bursted into tiny droplets of water, before disintegrating into thin air.

Kroom!!

After destroying the attack, the rock fist hurtled towards Henry, rapidly descending down on him.

"Crescent Slash!" Henry swung his hands towards the incoming fist, sending out a sharp crescent slash wave.

Swoosh!

The wind slash reached the giant fist within seconds, cleaving it into two.

The sliced off part rapidly dissolved into tiny dots, while the remaining part of the fist rapidly started regenerating.

Seeing her plan didn’t work, Olivia quickly canceled the spell, causing the giant hand to vanish into thin air.

Splosh!!

"Water Blast!" Henry shouted, and a small stream of water appeared around his arms.

Slosh!!

The water stream suddenly blasted towards Olivia, rapidly closing in on her.

"Light Shield!" The Elementalist quickly summoned a shield of light, almost the size of a door in front of her.

Bam!

The water blast struck the shield with immense force, clashing violently with it for a few seconds, before dissolving into droplets.

"Light Beam: Converge!" Olivia shouted, stretching her hands forward.

Thrumm!

The shield of light suddenly vibrated violently, exploding into tiny specks of white light, which hovered in the air.

Thrumm!!

In the next second, the light dots rapidly merged together, forming a large ball of light.

’Shit!’ Henry thought, hurriedly channeling his mana in a bid to escape the attack.

Twoomm!!

However, before he could even react, a powerful beam suddenly shot from the centre of the ball, hurtling towards him at frightening speed.

Slosh!!

"Water barrier!" He shouted, quickly conjuring a thick barrier of water in front of him.

Crack!

The light beam struck the barrier, shattering into pieces, leaving Henry completely defenceless.

His eyes widened in shock, as he watched his barrier shatter from a single touch of the beam.

With the barrier gone, the light beam struck him on his torso, sending him flying through the air.

"Arghh!!" He shouted, as a searing pain shot up from his torso. It felt like his body was being roasted from the inside out, causing him to scream in pain.

Thwack!

His body crashed into the ground, bouncing repeatedly as it rapidly neared the edge of the stage.

However, just as he was about to fall off the stage, he swiftly channeled his mana, casting another spell.

"Wind Steps!" He shouted, utilizing the wind circulating around his legs to balance his feet on the ground, just at the edge of the stage.

’Damn it... fucking bitch...’ He mumbled inwardly, gnashing his teeth in anger.

His heart raced rapidly, as he noticed how close he was to getting eliminated.

’She’s only rank eight... I let myself get this humiliated by someone six ranks beneath me?!’ He thought, clenching his hands into a tight fist.

Since he had already defeated Sandra, he felt like he had taken her place as the second ranked Elementalist. novelbuddy.cσ๓

Even though it wasn’t official yet, the only Elementalist he saw above was Susan Grey, the rank one Elementalist.

His eyes drifted back to Olivia, who was standing a few meters opposite him.

She kept panting heavily, with her hands resting weakly on her knees.

’Of course she’s exhausted... that last spell was very powerful, so it’s only natural it consumes a large chunk of her mana.’ He thought, his lips slowly curling into a sinister smirk.

’You really think you can eliminate me that easily... rookie mistake. I’ll show you... why I’m ranked second!!’ He thought, his expression twisting into a slight frown.

’The only Elementalist allowed to defeat me is Susan Grey!’ With that thought in mind, he dashed towards the Elementalist.

Or at least, he tried to.

However, he quickly realised something—his legs were stuck!

His eyes widened in shock, and his gaze instinctively drifted to his feet, only to find them glued to the ground with a thick brown lump.

The earth lump climbed as far as his knees, tightly pinning him to the ground.

He turned back to Olivia, and his body slowly trembled in rage when he saw the smug smirk stretched across her face.

"Damn you... Stupid Bi—"

"Pillar Blast!"

A thick brown pillar immediately materialised in front of Olivia, hovering vertically in the air.

Its girth was as an adult’s torso, and its length about three times that of an average man.

Whoosh!!

With a sharp thrust of her hand, the pillar shot towards Henry at rapid speed.

BAM!

Henry quickly tried casting a spell, but before he could even channel his elemental mana, the rock pillar closed in on him, slamming into his torso with immense force.
