Chapter 707: Chapter 248: Some Memories, Searching for Feng Bai (Triple Release)_5
Not far from Feng Bai, a man was holding a woman tightly. The woman struggled to push the man away, "I don’t love you anymore. When I loved you, how did you treat me? Seeing you with other women, do you know how much pain my heart was in? It hurt so much that I couldn’t even breathe. Now you regret it and want to be with me, but I no longer love you. My heart won’t hurt for you anymore. So, let’s part on good terms, and stop pestering me."
The woman no longer paid attention to the man and walked away with big strides.
The man stood on the street, crying with regret.
Feng Bai watched the departing woman in a daze, the woman’s words echoing in her mind.
So it was because she had fallen in love with Li Jingmo that it hurt so much she couldn’t breathe when she saw him with another woman?
When had she fallen in love with Li Jingmo? Was this what love felt like?
Why was it so painful, so painful that she couldn’t breathe, so painful that her tears wouldn’t stop!
Feng Bai walked forward, in a daze, not knowing where to go. She had awakened to find Li Jingmo and had come to rely on him, but now that he had someone else and no longer needed her, she was certain she wouldn’t return there. Where could she go, where should she go?
"Don’t you look where you’re walking?"
A passerby, bumped on the shoulder by the dazed Feng Bai, yelled at her.
"Forget it, look at her. She must be heartbroken. Let’s just leave it be and go our own way."
The companion consoled, and the bumped passerby no longer made an issue of it and quickly left.
Feng Bai walked toward the middle of The Main Road, so dazed and out of it that she didn’t notice the pedestrian light was red on the opposite side of the street. A car sped toward her, honking its horn, but Feng Bai showed no sign of moving.
"Miss, hurry and move, the car is coming!"
"Quickly come back, careful you’ll get hit!"
"Screech~"
The sound of forceful braking filled the air, many people didn’t dare to look at the scene, the timid covered their eyes, some screamed out loud, afraid to witness a bloody sight.
"Ah, what happened?"
A young man couldn’t believe what he was seeing in front of him.
Yet there was Feng Bai, who had appeared dazed, with her hands pressed against the body of the sedan. The driver had braked fiercely, but the residual force still sent the car lunging forward. The driver was mentally prepared for an impact, and with a ’bang,’ his entire head fell onto the steering wheel.
There were screams around, the driver lifted his head expecting to have hit someone far away, but what caught his eye instead was the girl who’d been dazedly crossing the road blocking his car, forcing it to stop.
The driver broke out in a cold sweat and hurriedly opened the car door to get out, yelling at Feng Bai, "Do you have a death wish? Don’t you look when you’re walking?"
Feng Bai stared at the driver, her face devoid of expression, standing upright, retracting her hands. Two palm-shaped dents were visible on the car roof, clearly presented to the onlookers.
Some gasped in shock, covering their mouths. The driver who had scolded Feng Bai took a look and turned pale upon seeing the palm prints on the roof.
What on earth did this woman eat to grow up, to be able to stop a car and leave such huge palm prints?
Not daring to demand compensation from Feng Bai, the driver got back into his car and left in a hurry.
The other onlookers were shocked as they watched Feng Bai, who walked away unfazed, heading to another place.
"Who is this woman? How can she be so strong?"
"Exactly, did you all see that? She just stopped the sedan with her two hands, I thought it was going to hit her!"
"So scary! Could she be a god or a demon?"
"You’ve been watching too much TV."
The noisy voices around her faded, and Feng Bai kept walking aimlessly.
She didn’t know where to go; aside from Li Jingmo, she actually didn’t know any other place to go. The sky began to darken, and fine snowflakes started falling.
Her stomach growled, and Feng Bai uncomfortably covered her belly, looking towards a nearby shop. She didn’t have a single cent on her and couldn’t buy anything.
Where should she go? She wanted to find Su Qing, but where was Su Qing? She didn’t have Su Qing’s phone number and didn’t know where Su Qing lived.
Inside her apartment, Su Qing watched the snowflakes beginning to fall outside. She put on a coat and walked outside.
She planned to buy some necessities from a nearby mall.
After selecting what she needed, the snow outside had become heavier. Su Qing decided to stay in a coffee shop outside the mall to rest for a while.
Watching the falling and accumulating snowflakes outside, Su Qing’s expression was distant, and her mind incessantly replayed the image of the man, along with the fiery warmth of his embrace, both familiar and strange.
