Chapter 705: Chapter 248: Some Memories, Searching for Feng Bai (Triple Release)_3
"No need, I don’t want it."
Feng Bai wiped away the falling tears, looking at Madam Li.
Madam Li sneered at the pain in her eyes, "It’s just as well, these things must have been bought by my son anyway. Since you don’t want them, throw them away."
Feng Bai’s beautiful face was somewhat pale as she bit her lower lip, "I just want to know, is Li Jingmo really on a date with someone else?"
She knew about dating, a thing that boyfriends and girlfriends do together, wasn’t that supposed to be her and Li Jingmo? Why was he dating someone else, could it be that he didn’t like her at all? Was he deceiving her, he said he was just stepping out, but was he actually together with someone else?
Madam Li smiled and began to speak, "Miss Feng, if you don’t believe it, then I’ll make you believe."
In the city center of Haishi, inside a coffee shop.
Li Jingmo entered the café and took a seat by the window. He had come out after receiving a call from his mother, who told him that she had returned but was out shopping and asked him to wait for her at this café for a while.
He then promptly informed Feng Bai that he needed to step out.
Having ordered a coffee, Li Jingmo waited for his mother, when a gorgeous young figure took the seat across from him.
Li Jingmo looked up at the newcomer, his expression somber, "Why are you here?"
The person appeared to be in their mid-twenties, with a pretty face adorned with delicate makeup, dressed in a white wool coat, holding a handbag.
"Aunt Li asked me to come," Loo Ziman’s eyes focused on Li Jingmo, noticing that after so many years, he seemed to be unchanged.
Upon hearing Loo Ziman’s words, Li Jingmo rose from his seat, grabbed his coat from beside him, and headed towards the exit.
"Jingmo, Jingmo!" Loo Ziman grabbed at Li Jingmo, pleading with him, "Don’t go, please. I know I was wrong back then, I shouldn’t have left you. I know you still like me, you were waiting for me."
Li Jingmo turned his head to look at Loo Ziman, saying indifferently, "You’re mistaken, I’ve never liked you."
Seven or eight years ago, when he was only seventeen or eighteen and attending his final year of high school, Loo Ziman was his classmate. His mother and her mother were friends, and the two families often interacted, so they grew up together.
Back then, Loo Ziman harbored feelings for him, unbeknownst to him until one day she approached him, clung to him, and revealed that she was going abroad, asking him to wait for her.
"That’s not true, I can feel you liked me. You were so nice to me back then, how could you possibly not like me?"
Indeed, besides being kind to his three close friends, he had been particularly good to her, even standing up for her against the thugs who bullied her. How could he not have liked her?
Years ago, to pursue her dream of dancing, she had to go abroad, asking him to wait for her. She never imagined that leaving the country would mean seven or eight years apart. Could it be that he resented her for this, which is why he hadn’t come to find her since she returned?
Today, Aunt Li had invited her out, telling her that she would arrange a date for her and Jingmo. She had agreed immediately, dressed up at home, and hurried over here.
She had thought that upon seeing her, even if he harbored some resentment, he would be delighted, but now he was completely indifferent to her, treating her as a mere stranger.
Li Jingmo looked at Loo Ziman dispassionately, "You are wrong. It was only because of my mother’s advice that I took a bit more care of you."
In his twenty-plus years, he had never been moved by anyone until Feng Bai entered his life.
Thinking of Feng Bai, his heart warmed, and he was eager to return to her, to hold her tight and kiss her fiercely.
"Impossible, impossible, you’re lying to me, aren’t you? How could you possibly not like me?"
Loo Ziman suddenly threw herself into Li Jingmo’s arms, crying restrained tears.
Li Jingmo tried to push Loo Ziman away, but she clung to him desperately.
"Jingmo, you’re lying to me, aren’t you? You must be lying, how could you not like me?"
Loo Ziman wept softly, attracting the attention of several people in the coffee shop, as Li Jingmo’s expression grew uglier.
Nobody noticed in a luxury car not far away, Feng Bai’s complexion pale as she watched the two embracing through the glass window.
Madam Li looked on with satisfaction at the scene before her, believing that her son and Ziman’s union was imminent. She had always said her son couldn’t possibly like a girl like that, assuming it was just a fleeting interest.
"Now do you believe it, Miss Feng? Can you leave my son now? Ziman and my son are a match made in heaven, and both his father and I approve of her highly."
Madam Li said sternly, as Feng Bai wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and looking at Madam Li, she opened the car door, stepped out, and began to walk away in a daze.
