Chapter 80: Chapter 80: In love Yarn
As Jeff glanced at the door, he realized it was none other than Jessica standing there, staring at him.
He saw her drop the pillow, but he didn’t move toward her.
His mind was blank, and for a moment, the two of them just stared at each other, the silence stretching on.
It felt as if time had stopped altogether and the world frozen in that single, lingering moment.
Jessica slowly and naturally picked up the pillow, stood up straight, and then closed the door, as if nothing had happened.
When the door was finally closed, her breathing became rapid, and her face turned red. She used the pillow to cover her mouth as she bit on it, her eyes misty with a mix of embarrassment and awe.
"Is he really that ripped? Also, when did he become so much more handsome?" she whispered to herself, hugging the pillow tighter.
What she saw earlier made her heart flutter. Slowly, she walked back to her room, her expression blank as she tried to process everything.
Jeff’s appearance was perfectly etched in her mind, especially his six-pack abs that seemed to radiate raw power.
The image lingered in her thoughts, leaving her in astonishment that some kind of angel just descended.
Without realizing it, a line of saliva connected the pillow as she bit down on it in her dazed state.
When she finally entered her room, she jumped onto her comfy, squishy bed, sinking into the softness.
"Handsome..." she whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Is his body seriously that sculpted?" she thought.
As she kept rolling around in the bed as her mind replayed the image of Jeff’s physique, her thoughts drifting between wonder and confusion.
Her hands itched with the urge to touch those, and she whispered to herself, "I want to touch it really bad," as she stared up at the ceiling light.
When she finally processed what she had just said, her face turned bright red.
In a panic, she hurriedly slapped her cheeks with both hands, as if to snap herself out of the thought.
Clap
"Jessica, control yourself," she muttered, forcing her expression to return to normal.
Then, remembering that tomorrow was the weekend and the promise they had just made, she suddenly felt a surge of energy.
Her mood shifted, and a sense of excitement filled her as she thought about what was to come.
"I should plan it out..." she murmured.
As she kept looking for something to choose in some great places on her phone, her face flushed red as she imagined various scenarios.
"Oh no, I think I’m really in love..." she said, her voice trembling as she held her phone, her heart racing as the realization hit her.
When he had helped her, and when she proposed her idea, she had asked her best friends for help on where she could bring him.
She wanted everything to be perfect, unsure of how to make the day special but eager to make it memorable.
...
In a classroom, near the window, three seats were moved into a circle formation.
"Why not bring him to a motel?" one of her friends teased with a playful smile.
"Yeah, if that’s not possible, you can always bring him to your house to spend some time alone, since both of your parents are at work right," another friend added with a sly smile.
"You too, we are not like that," Jessica retorted, her face turning red.
One of her friends leaned beside her, poking her in the side with her finger, accompanied by a teasing smile.
"Oh really? Then why are you reacting so wildly?" she teased, as she grin at her.
"That’s right, look at your reaction, you look so cute! Clearly, you’re in love. So, so, who’s the lucky guy?" her other friend said, holding her hand and making her even more bashful.
"I said it’s not like that!" Jessica retorted loudly, resting her face in her hands on the student desk, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Haha," the two friends laughed, clearly enjoying teasing her.
"I didn’t know you could actually show this kind of look after all our years of friendship," her friends teased, as she kept poking at her.
"Melaine, stop teasing her," the other friend said, but then turned to Jessica with a curious smile.
"But hey, Jessica, I’m really curious. You have a lot of suitors that are handsome and even rich, can you tell me who’s that lucky guy?" she asked.
"Catherine, I said it’s not like that, believe me. I just wanted to repay him, so that’s why I want to try my best," she said in a sheepish tone, her eyes fixed on the desk, with her face bright red.
Catherine and Melaine exchanged a blank look before bursting out in laughter.
"Yeah, right, girl. It’s already written all over your face," they teased, clearly not buying her explanation.
"I said it’s not like that," Jessica’s eyes turned red, as if she was about to cry, making the two finally stop.
But seeing her act so cute and childish in that moment, they couldn’t help but laugh at each other again.
"Hmph, I hate you two," she cursed them.
As she crossed her arms and glanced sideways, completely irritated by their teasing.
"Ok, ok, we are not going to tease you anymore, so listen to us carefully," Melaine said.
With that, the two of them gave their own suggestions, some places that felt romantic to eat, a beautiful spot to visit, and a park that wasn’t too far from here.
Jessica was so focused on her task, writing everything down in her phone notes.
She typed each suggestion carefully, trying to come up with the perfect idea for the upcoming time. She wanted everything to be just right, planning every detail with precision.
Seeing how dedicated Jessica was made the two girls extremely curious about who could make their best friend this enthusiastic.
They exchanged glances, both wondering just who the lucky guy was that had managed to capture Jessica’s attention so fully.
The curiosity was evident in their eyes, and they couldn’t help but be intrigued by the mysterious guy who had sparked such a change in their best friend.
...
Back in her room, after remembering her conversation with her friends, Jessica couldn’t help but contemplate it.
This was the first time she had worked so hard for someone, especially a boy she had just met.
She had never felt this way before, and it all started when she felt deeply indebted to him.
"What should I do...?" Jessica sat up in bed, scratching her hair in confusion, her thoughts swirling.
This was a big problem for her. It shouldn’t be happening and possible since she was supposed to focus on her studies.
Even though her parents had said she could have a boyfriend as long as his personality was good, she had always argued that she would never date anyone until she graduated college.
But now, here she was, falling in love. It felt so contradictory to everything she had promised herself.
This wasn’t a lie, since her freaking heartbeat couldn’t lie. If she wanted to use some exaggerating words, it almost felt like her heart would escape her chest.
She grabbed a mirror, and her reflection stared back at her. Looking at her own face, she tried to touch her cheeks, her fingers twirling through her hair as she absently ran them through, lost in the realization of her feelings.
"Should I confess after?" she asked herself, staring into the hand mirror.
But after a moment of careful thought, she stopped herself from entertaining those ideas for now.
Even though she was confident that she could win him over, she knew it wasn’t the right time.
She needed to focus on making herself known to him first, building her confidence so that when the time came, her chances of being accepted would be much higher.
She would never know that, perhaps, after spending more time together, he might be the one to confess to her.
Imagining this, she couldn’t help but smile, feeling butterflies all over her as she fell back onto the bed.
"So, those exaggerating scenes in dramas and novels were actually real," she whispered to herself, laughing at how surreal it all felt.
"Haa, I always scorned those parts in the scene, thinking that such things never existed, but now... Hayss," she took a deep sigh.
Since that specific situation really happened to her, with that she made a perfectly planned-out day.
"No, no, no. It’s not a date, I’m just showing my gratitude, haha," she laughed at herself, feeling a bit silly.
She tried to shake off the fluttering feelings in her chest, but deep down, she knew that she was looking forward to it, no matter how much she tried to convince herself otherwise.
...
Back in his room, when Jessica left, Jeff was stunned for a moment but quickly snapped back to normal.
"You come in and leave? What a weird girl," Jeff muttered to himself as he grabbed some underwear from the closet.
As he took the towel off, his well-toned physique was revealed, including his ’invincible dragon’, but it was, of course, censored.
Jeff paused as he leaned down to put on his underwear, his gaze falling on his body. He was stunned when he noticed his abs.
"What the... when did I get rock-hard abs? Also, when did my pp become this big" he trailed off in disbelief.
Not bothering with his underwear, he quickly walked over to the mirror that served as the door to his closet.
Staring at his reflection, he was dazzled by the changes he had gone through.
