Chapter POV: Josephine Benelli-Smith

__

"Successor?"

"It is fine, as we have heard all that we need; the girls have all begun to perform their tasks."

Despite the girls and me vanishing in plain sight, Darling didn't even worry. From his link, overwhelming love and admiration surged. It made me feel giddy. The Sirens and I watched as he continued to talk to Zanele.

Our bodies were between two worlds at the moment. The product of a bunch of {fates} combined by a {Program}. It was obvious why everyone was expanding their repertoire. The Demons, Africa, Antarctica, and now the Successors.

At some point, I felt my consciousness slip away, and everything faded to black.

"Tsk, the delay is still at 5.34 seconds. I can't get it any lower. Bella, Jas, be a pair of sweethearts and help me. I want it to be under three seconds."

Lilly's mellifluous voice was extremely pleasing to the ears. It was fortunate that she remained obstinate about seducing Darling. If the woman stopped using the smut novels as references, I don't think anyone could beat her.

"Take some in your asshole! [Warp] is already OP as it is! And you want it to go even faster? Your standards are too fucking high!"

"I agree. [Warp] already grants users concealment and limited invulnerability. Even if it is beyond five seconds, it is already good enough."

Bella and Jas's comments were spot on. Completely unlike our {programs} from before, the stuff we created now was several orders of magnitude better.

After all, it was the product of the entire brainpower of all seven of the Sirens. This was something I never thought we would do, yet here we are.

"Hahaha! It can still get better, thought? Why not split the body in two? That way you could perform independent action. It would not hasten the speed but lessen the waiting time," I suggested as I opened my eyes.

"Nutjob, that's fucking crazy! You want to run even without seeing where you're going? Or do you mean shoot before your legs appear? Who would even want to do that?"

"I disagree, Lilly-sama's request was more because she plans to use [Warp] for combat. As it has {Blink} as its component I am not surprised. I think Jo's suggestions has merit."

"Then, she should shift the Invulnerability to follow the Reaper's soulgem, not her head. On the off chance we are attacked while warping."

"Oh my! Those are all excellent suggestions! Thank you; I will modify [Warp] to allow partial movement. Thank you all; you are all such sweethearts."

Lilly beaming nodded her head and began to reconstruct her {Program} on the spot.

"Ugh, as if the princess wasn't overpowered enough," Bella complained.

"I don't want to hear that from you of all people, you cow-boobed chatbot. [Curse of Sloth] is too fucking bonkers. How many countries do you have under your thumb now? 15?"

"16. I haven't gotten big ones yet. But I will soon. Jas, I managed to get a hit. Five people. All working alone across different sites. Please do your magic."

I couldn't deny Robyn's words. Bella's new {Program} was indeed terrifying. She made a {Fate} powered computer virus that used {Code} as a base. Isabella Taurus-Smith was basically taking over the internet one computer at a time.

This program, much like all the new ones created by our collaborations, was equally formidable. Whether it was amazing or frightening depended entirely on which side you were on.

"Okay. Everyone, do not forget that we are on a strict schedule. Help Aki with the assassinations while I look for Target 1. [Search]."

"Do your best, sis! Once you find him, he WILL not get away! Hehehe!" I cheered.

Jas's new {Program} [Search] was also equally OP. Upon the suggestion of Bella and Aki, she created a system on how to find Akashic Records with {Insight}. Rather than searching for a memory or vision, they suggested she simplify it to a yes or no question.

So, if Jas used [Search] on a face and asked, "Is this person as Successor." The Akashic record will answer with a yes or no. This gave her questions speed in exchange for scope. Most of the time, you wouldn't need something like this. But it was incredibly powerful.

It drained my sister heavily, so we can't use it often. But along with Bella's satellite oversight, it ensured we could find out everything about a person, even if they lived off the grid. It was like the eyes of god.

"Then let's leave Bella and Jas to it; we can use the time to plan the insurrections," Lilly suggested.

Aki, Liv, Robyn, Lilly, and I all moved to a long worktable in our base. We were currently in a void space room inside Lilly's {Storage}. It was a trial space made from Robyn's suggestion. A safe house to run off to when the entire world gets destroyed.

'Sigh. Lilly's access to subspace is just too incredible. And now, with her soulgear maxed, she is truly a powerhouse,' I complained.

One of the things the girls and I did was max out our soulgears. As they all came from Phantoms, compared to Darling's {Day by Day}, which had only three {fates}, ours had a maximum of six.

And when we evolved them as we wanted, we changed our combat styles to match them accordingly. Everyone was growing by leaps and bounds. I evolved as a Specter, but the gap I thought I would get with everyone rapidly shrank with each new {Program} we made.

'Not that I mind. The stronger everyone is, the safer Darling would be.'

It was for this sole reason that none of us spared any expense in helping each other. Our specialty {Programs} while being exclusive to us, would protect the man we all loved. Be it in defense, offense, support, or reconnaissance. We all were doing our part.

"Africa has 77 princes split across 54 countries. For the sake of keeping peace, we can take out at most 23 of them. Although, it is Shujin's request, do we even have to ensure that each country has a prince?"

At Aki's question, I tried to think of a solution.

I seldom actually contemplated and acted impulsively. As I used to hear so many voices in my brain, I often just went with my instincts. Hearing so many people tell you bad things would whittle down the sanity of anyone. Much more if you were a teenager.

When Vela awoke, all other voices disappeared. And now even Vela was resting. I found the silence quite unsettling. Do people really think like this? Alone with no one to talk to?

"Technically, we do not. Africa, much like the rest of the royal families, is divided. It is separated into the conservative and reformist factions. The former wishes to keep the status quo; the latter wishes to change it," Lilly explained.

"So? Who are we fucking up then? I don't care which bunch of Niggers we take out. So long as they do not mess with Possum."

"If they are like the North, the conservatives would not wish for outside help, even if it's Beloved. So, I would believe the reformists would be our best bet. But given their ideals, they should be the minority correct?"

"Oh my, how astute. Yes, you are correct on both points, Liv. Unfortunately, the reformists also have an agenda that does not help us. They want to change Africa's defensive stance and use their reapers to take over the human world. So, we will not aid them either."
