Leveling Technology To Save Humanity-Chapter 75: Sokka’s Shame
Chapter 75: Sokka’s Shame
What? You want to leave everything to that bastard adopted son of yours?
—IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
The speed at which Sokka rose from his knees was astronomical. Don’t blame him for breaking character. Something in him shattered when hearing her decision.
"Grandmother, my Father chooses to give his illegitimate child more money, and now, you choose to give a random stranger more money than I, your blood grandson?"
It’s true that his mother betrayed her, but what did he, her grandson do to deserve such treatment from her? Isn’t he, the child innocent from whatever thing happened in their past?
Sokka just couldn’t believe she would choose to give an adopted child all her wealth and leave nothing for him behind. Sokka felt his hands growing clammy, as his fists began vibrating with fury.
Why?... Why does everyone keep looking down on him?
Bimto felt she had entertained her guests enough. It’s such a drag to have such people around her good aura right now.
"You-you-you gold digger, what have you been feeding my mother with all these years?" Merta erupted, shocked and enraged by her mother’s decision.
No! It can’t be her mother who said this.
It must be the adopted son who took her ace, the Gold digger who was turning her mother against her so he can pocket her wealth for himself.
’Yes, it must be!’ Merta inwardly retorted. ’It must be, or else how would the mother I remember dared to talk to me like this or even refuse covering me a single 1 million Gwins to make up for lost times?’
It was as if everything Bimto said had gone over Merta’s head.
She had registered nothing of what Bimto said, only feeling 3 seconds of guilt and nothing more.
Her only regret is that she didn’t reach out to her mother a month or perhaps even 2 months before her mother turned into a millionaire.
This way, wouldn’t she be more convincing?
Hah-hah-hah~
Looking at the people before her with contorted expressions, the corners of Bimto’s lips slowly raised high.
She knew that had misunderstood Clint’s identity. But since Clint gave her a tactful nod, she didn’t bother to correct them anymore. And with a simple sentence, she sent them off.
"Henry, send them out of Border 2."
Eh? Several people frowned. Henry? Who the hell was she talking to? This wasn’t the name of the adopted son they had briefly heard.
Seeing Clint still standing still, they were more convinced it wasn’t the adopted son. So who the hell was this Henry guy? And how come—
Before everyone could react, their eyes had already dropped to the ground when seeing Bimto’s metal bracelet change into a majestic Mechatronic spider.
Awesome! Since when did the world’s technology upgrade to this level? And why is it an old Hag having privy to such things instead of them?
The entire transformation happened in less than a second. Yet, they had the same feeling anyone would have when watching Optimus Prime transform from a Truck to a Giant Mecha.
Please...
Where do all the parts come from? How come so much was trapped in such a small thing?... Who can explain to them? ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Before they could think further, they felt their bodies floating in the air, flying into the distance.
Everything happened too fast. Even the bodyguard and the servant found it incredulous.
How can such a punk thing carry so much strength?
Who am I? What am I? Where am I?
Pouff~
They rolled on the grass after a heavy landing. And if they stopped, Henry would rush over and continue rolling them out.
They now got an inkling of what Bimto meant by keeping them off ’Border 2’.
After Henry first arrived in Bimto’s house, it mapped their home—Border 1 was the house itself, and Border 2 was the actual hilly slope and yard surrounding their home.
If Bimto said she wanted guests out of Border 1, it meant she wanted them out of the house. This means that even if they stood in her yard, Henry wouldn’t mind. But if she said she wanted them out of Border 2, then Henry would get them off her property!
Sokka blinked excessively, when finding himself on the open road with his butt sticking up to the sky and his face and knees still on the ground.
It was the laugh of the onlookers hiding in bushes that woke him from his stupor.
Sokka’s face turned an interesting shade. "You!!!-"
Merta took the words right out of his mouth, pointing at her mother with trembling fingers. She looked like a shrew in a market place.
"Mother, I can’t believe you have grown to become so cruel! How can anyone be a mother like you? Have you no shame for bullying a little child like this?"
Merta felt pity for her son, helping him to his feet. There were grass stalks poking out of his hair, and his clothes looked ruffled.
Merta wanted to rush over and confront Bimto. However, after seeing the little spider take down the guards who stood to attack it, Merta dared not.
It appears that so long as they stood on the main road, it would remain docile. But if they dared to cross into Bimto’s property, it wouldn’t hesitate to throw them out again.
...At this point, what else could they do?
Sokka thinned his lips cruelly, with an undisguised gleam of greed in his eyes. "Mom, let’s first find a place to stay..."
Inside the car with the windows wound up, Sokka revealed his true colors. Originally, he had planned for his dear Grandmother to allow them to rest in her home.
From his research of many village women, they were somewhat feudal and often favored boys over girls. What’s more, he was her only grandson.
All this led him to speculate they’ll be sleeping in her home for the night... But who would have thought that she would ruthlessly kick them out without a care in the world?
