Leveling Technology To Save Humanity-Chapter 62: The Future Is Bright
Chapter 62: The Future Is Bright
Well, it would be a lie to say that the many onlookers and Live stream viewers weren’t boiling from excitement when Gort broke down the price.
The price was so reasonable that it made many feel the urge to splurge on 2~3 items in one purchase.
Although Gort said the price would remain this way... but who knows if he will change his mind later?
Many times when new never-seen-before products emerge from an unknown company, the price might start up Low... but soon rise higher and higher if it becomes a staple for the general markets.
Typically, only when a company has a great reputation and loyal fanbase, will the prices start to rise. So why not stock up now when prices are low?
Buy! Buy! Buy!
Several people felt their hearts beat exaggeratingly, as they continued listening to Gort.
"Everyone," Gort continued. "Now that we’ve gotten the elephant out of the room, there’s still one more thing I must emphasize."
What? What more is there?
????
Seeing how nervous and anxious the masses were, Gort smiled slightly, allowing them to sulk in their anticipation a little more. "My original intentions for creating these VR devices were never for Gaming... But for knowledge and communication!"
Yes... don’t forget that the VR set was created under GF Worldtech’s communication’s sector.
Gort manipulated the VR watch he was wearing, and the scene changed once more.
"Imagine we are on a spaceship, needing to communicate with the mothership several Lightspeeds away."
"One day, we will be able to overcome that, and sail across the vast universes, galaxies and milky ways as we pleased, knowing we can communicate with each ship sent forth or person traveling away... By that time, such a trip will be seen as natural and normal, as heading to the grocery store."
Several people who knew of the true meaning behind Gort’s words, all had subtle expressions.
In just a few months, will this be the fate of humankind? Will they head off into space, or somehow stay on their planet despite the disastrous flood? Why did they feel as though Gort wanted both situations for humankind?
As for the rest of the clueless masses, they only felt Gort was talking about his plans for the far, far, far future, probably several decades and centuries after his death. None of them could imagine that a true disaster would be knocking on their doors pretty soon.
Gort spoke of his ideals, not just focusing on the communication aspects of it, but also focusing on how VR could be used to do everyday work. What better way to teach than to let people experience it for themselves?
Imagine a teacher teaching math, history, Literature, design, and other topics, using Virtual reality... Imagine going back in time, to watch how Emperor Gwinsha ruled the dynasty. Imagine building prototypes in a VR world.
Imagine you explaining why bridges are built the way they are. You allow students to build bridges in the VR world, only for their designs to come crumbling down because they don’t understand certain aspects.
Whether people agree or not, experience was the best teacher compared to theory. People remember more of what they see than what they sit in class, listening to.
Gort was truly thinking of humanity, wanting them to grow and survive, no matter where some people among them were enemies.
That being said, it’s important to note that even in Galactic ages and SciFi eras, that had such VR technologies and opportunities for safe experimentation, it didn’t mean they could break through their intellectual roofs so easily.
Huh.
No matter the era, the majority just flow with the waves, and only a few people truly break the accomplishments of those behind them. Think about it. Carriages were used in medieval times for hundreds and hundreds of years, until the first engine came to be.
It’s thanks to that first breakthrough that people could tweak and change the current engine model little by little.
The first computer that resembled the modern computers used today, came out between 1833 and 1871. Technology will always evolve bit by bit after a very major breakthrough, even if many had a million chances to experiment.
For one., Gort was aware that the science behind the VR he created was several hundreds of years ahead of today’s time. So even if they cracked his devices, they’ll be using the theorems in today’s books to try understanding his current success.
Sadly, his knowledge was far advanced, leading them to keep having stumbling blocks, not understanding why his VR went against today’s laws of physics, mathematics and so on.
Yes, that’s right. Gort had long realized that some theorems solved by the great geniuses in the past, were only done halfway, with some only having 10% truth in them.
This alone, is why he could guarantee that his technology would be unsolvable. So he wasn’t scared to allow them to try again and again in a safer virtual reality world.
Only after a while later, will he be willing to teach the world what the advanced knowledge he now knew. From there, it will be up to them to see if they can make something for themselves.
Again, just because he was teaching them, doesn’t mean they’ll be able to grasp everything fast. It might take a hundred years or more for someone to make something remotely impressive to all the things he was about to make. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
...
Gort chuckled, looking at the excited crowd.
"Everyone, our GF Worldtech company, has only made 300 pieces of the LP0001 and 300 pieces of the Lone Genesis watch."
"The next batch will emerge in 3 weeks."
What? Why? That’s not fair! They want it now!
At this moment, several people rushed to GF World Tech’s website, which Gort showed.
There, there was a massive countdown.
–4 hours, 51 minutes left–
When the clock strikes midnight on the dot, everyone will have a fair chance of purchasing these goods!
