Chapter 53: New Hire Perks

Happiness was a feeling that was easily spread.

"Mommy, mommy, they’re so big!" Mintz jumped animatedly, still in disbelief by the giant items around him.

Was this place he went to the land of the giants? The watermelon was so large it took all 3 of them to roll out.

They had 4 watermelons, 7 tomatoes, 5 Potatoes, 2 Ginseng, and other fruits and vegetables too.

Well, the outer appearance was just too mouthwatering for them to neglect.

Soon, the family of 3 worked hard to cut several slices of watermelon.

Motzen swore this was the best thing he had tasted all his life, better than any sweets.

Munch, munch, munch~

His cheeks were filled with watermelon pieces, seemingly having no time to pay attention to his parents. But what he didn’t know was that they too had momentarily forgotten him.

Matilda felt that just for this food alone, she would be willing to move over here for good.

What else is life good for, if not eating delicious food? And what was this strange warmth they felt gushing through their body?

"Wife, the pain on my lower back seems to have faded a bit... Am I dreaming?"

"Hubby, the slight pain I’ve always felt after giving birth to Mintz, doesn’t feel so bad either..."

The duo stared at the watermelons, before darting for their phones to research on GF worldtech Agriculture.

What? Was a single meal better than a doctor’s appointment?

Almost 99% of people who claimed to have eaten something from the company, swore they felt better. Some even posted their medical reports, showing the reports before and after each meal.

The couple felt their legs turn to noodles.

"Hubby... are we... Are we so lucky?" Matilda swore she knew nothing of this.

From the looks of things, these miraculous goods and fruits are far more expensive compared to regular fruits and foods. The many items in their pantry cost a lot more than they can imagine.

"Hubby, I take back what I said." Matilda was now grabbing Motzen’s wet, slippery hands in a death grip. "No matter what, we must stay here, for the sake of Mintz."

"I think so too," Motzen agreed.

Regular people might only buy it sparingly, mixing it with regular foods when cooking meals. What’s more, these foods and fruits can last for months. One person claimed that they bought 3 tomatoes. They already had noodles, rice and eggs at home.

Since then, they’ve been heavily cooking tomato sauces and all sorts of tomato dishes. Yet, they haven’t even gone halfway through the first tomatoes bought.

It’s been weeks, and they’ve saved far more money than they expected.

What’s more, no matter how many times they eat these estimators, it was just too intoxicating and appetizing, as though they were eating it for the first time. They ended up saving grocery money without knowing it.

Don’t forget that the tomatoes and other products here were more concentrated in quality and quantity than their regular counterparts.

Watermelons are usually airy and light. But with these ones, you feel that every slice is so thick like medieval border walls. Then imagine having a single potato the size of a Television.

Hello? Do you honestly think it can finish anything soon?

People just need to buy 1 or 2 items and they are good to go. Fortunately, the shelf life of these items were long, giving ample time for people to eat them.

For some, it could take 5~6 months before they’re past due their expiration dates, especially after refrigeration.

On each item was a sticker showing the production date, giving everyone a clue of where they stood.

Good...

Matilda was happy. They were all nearly a few days old.

Well, she and her family were expected to come here last week, however, they got delayed due to personal reasons. They had to say that these people were quite thoughtful. After eating a few slices of watermelon, they were quite full.

"Alright everyone, time to offload and pack in. This will be our new home."

Like so, the family of 3 got busy on a full stomach. Their original intention was to visit one of Motzen’s friends for dinner. But now, they had no room in their bellies. And before they knew it, it was time for bed.

Motzen held his wife tightly, thinking of all they saw today in Gongla village.

Something told him change was coming. And if he missed this opportunity, he might never get it back.

Tomorrow, he had to do a good job on his first day!

....

Cockle-Doo-doo-doooooo~

It was yet another beautiful morning in Geldhan village.

Today, the air was buzzed with inquisitive excitement. Everyone was told that from 9~1 PM, they were to meet within the prospective company cafeterias. And for Shareholders and those not working in these companies, they were to meet at the Meeting Hall on the Prairie.

Except for guards, everyone who was invited to come. Families of those working in the companies must also show up.

What’s going on? Is it to talk about the upcoming Press Conference the day after tomorrow?

Within the massive newly constructed Communications company, several people stood in a vast open space that looked like it was made for a galactic king addressing their subjects.

Everything was so cool...

"Hey, I heard that Boss Gort wants to give us gifts."

"Really? That’s great then! But I have to admit that Boss Gort is quite generous as a Boss."

"Yeah... I just moved here last week, and already, I swear my life seems like that of a celebrity."

"Damn, I’m so excited for the Press Conference! Forget it, no one can convince me that Boss Gort is not a God!"

"Worthy of his big name. 4 days ago when doing the test, I almost shit myself finding Giant lizards chasing me."

"Woooo~... I cried. So you want extreme sports? No worries. What Boss Gort created is enough to give even the strongest man a run for their money."

"It’s too real. I swear my hand was beaten off and the pain I felt made my chest tear open."

"Before coming here, I was disdainful that our future Boss is a youngster who just dropped out of school... But now, sorry... I want to apologize."

"Pfft, I can’t wait to see how others will react when it launches."
